Questions for this shipment:

Question: Who is to do the loading and unloading? (8/30/2007)
Response: Loading and unloading can be done by others besides driver of truck. Drivers who are willing to help load / unload are not a necessity but would be greatly appreciated. (8/30/2007)
Question: I guess you do love books. I told my wife about the order and she said well if they r giving them away..I'll take them. lol. do you think I can get all these in a 6x10 trailer? (8/31/2007)
Response: The seller went back through and the weight increased to 10,000 pds. Size wise if repacked before pick up is aprox 250 boxes each weighing 40pds each. Size 18" T x 9" W x 12" L. They can be stacked as high as needed. But I think a larger size trailer would be needed to move safely. (8/31/2007)
Question: Can you the boxes be palletized?? (8/31/2007)
Response: Yes they can. But the seller would charge me extra in labor. (8/31/2007)
Response: If you palletize it then it would be less time consuming for the driver. For the driver time = money so the sooner he gets in and out the better. Not to mention that is a lot of back breaking labor and to get some people to help you out in loading and unloading would be difficult as well. I had a project like this once and we ended up palletizing it. (8/31/2007)
Response: Thank you for your questions. Yes I could palletize them. 1. Would need a lift gate or ramp to load pallet(there is no dock at either end) 2. Would need to have a pallet jack. (I don't have one on my end and not sure if seller does) 3. Need narrow window for pickup with enough time in advance to load the pallets outdoors. The pallets have to be loaded outside of building as doors are too narrow to load inside then wheel them out. Time frame is very important as this book deal is not worth it to me if I have to pay the seller to palletize them twice if driver delayed to pick up. (8/31/2007)
Question: I can do these books for you in about a week to 10 days, they will be loaded in my 34 foot enclosed trailer and it has a beaver tail door which makes it very easy to load and unload. If a hand truck is @ both locations thats all that would be needed. I can do this for your Target price, if you need more info click on my user name and there is a way to check on my DOT & MC Numbers as well as the names & Policy Numbers of my Insurance Company's. Let me know and the weight thing of 10,000lbs is not a problem at all since my trailer is rated @ 18,000lbs. Thanks (9/3/2007)
Response: I originally had target at 1000.00. But I raised it to 1500.00 due to it would take a more time invested person to handle this load. The seller is wanting to charge me in labor cost to put all the books in brand new boxes. Plus I have to buy the boxes. But is it possible to leave them in the boxes as they are shown in the pic? It would not be as neat and tidy to stack but that would save me money. And when you say if a hand truck is present that is all that is needed. Does that mean the seller can take boxes to curb and you load them onto the truck? And if in the case of rain would you be willing to go a few more yards and take them from the inside of the building? On my end I would be happy to unload them all myself if you could help me out a little more on the pick up side of things. Thank you. (9/3/2007)
Response: Just to clarify, if the seller can bring to the curb then they can push the hand truck up the beaver tail ramp into my trailer. I will stack them from there. Same thing with a rainy day, we will try to pick a non rainy day and park as close as possible.Let me knowm thanks (9/3/2007)
Response: Okay. Do I need to have them reboxed? Looking at the picture there are small boxes. Can they be loaded as is? (9/4/2007)
Response: As long as its in a box. doesn't have to be closed. As long as someone wheels in the trailer.let me know (9/4/2007)
Response: Yes I will have him do that. (9/5/2007)
Response: As long as its in a box. doesn't have to be closed. As long as someone wheels in the trailer.let me know. After the 12 th due to a DR. Appt. (9/4/2007)
Response: I only have till the 14th to get them out of there. (9/5/2007)
Response: Sorry I thought I did this but I see now I didnt lololol I have now (9/9/2007)
Question: Is this a book store where these books are coming out of or a residence. Just curious as to where I would be picking these books up from. As far as road being busy or if there is a back entrance from a side street. (9/4/2007)
Response: My window for pickup has opened up that could be picked up later than previously stated. I would prefer to have them picked up asap but can be as late as Sept 25th. I would like to have a commitment on uship with you if all sounds good so that I can let them know I got it covered. (9/5/2007)
Response: Thanks for writing back to my wife on this, she takes care of this when I am not at home, I was wondering if it will work for you if I pick these up on the 14th? I will then be able to have them to you within two days after I pick them up. The weekend will work for me but if it wont work for you let me know and we can pick a date to do this. Thanks again for working with us on this. Also I was wondering if you checked out my profile and the link in there to check on my info so you know who we are you are dealing with. Thanks (9/8/2007)
Response: You have a good system going. Yes I looked at your profile and it looks very good. The 14th will work for them and the 16th works great for me to unload. I will call them today to be sure. But based on conversations weekends are best to pick these up. (9/8/2007)
Response: Thanks for the feedback on my profile, when you find out if the weekend will work contact me and let me know. Thanks (9/8/2007)
Response: Talked with him and the 14th works for him. As said before the 16th works great for me. (9/8/2007)
Response: Sounds good to me, once you contact me we will pick a time & get this done for you. (9/8/2007)
Response: I don't see a bid to accept for this. Once you place the bid the your contact info will be shared with me. (9/8/2007)
Response: Sorry I thought I did this but I see I didnt, its done now. (9/9/2007)
Question: not a problem before the 25th. But it will still be sooner. Is there a special time frame as far as time of the day it would work for the store? Can it be done after hours ? Let me know. I will be home on Friday and place a formal bid at that time (9/6/2007)
Response: Yes I would prefer asap. The store is no longer open for business. I will call to be sure, but in all of this they never said it had to be a certain time of day. I don't see it as a problem. (9/6/2007)
Response: in case you haven't figured it out I am Tony's wife. He has been out on the road and will be back home tomorrow to sit and make this book deal complete.I am trying to set up his next trip and found a motorcycle that he could pick up. Is the book store definately in New London? This bike is off of Bristol Street in New London and I was hoping the two would be close enough so he could do both but if the bike is too far off the route then he will not do the bike. Sorry for the play by play (9/6/2007)
Response: Hi, I have the exact address. I looked up on mapquest and they are less than a mile from each other depending on what the street address is on Bristol. that is pretty close. Just a couple turns apart. (9/6/2007)
Response: ok thanks for the help. Tony is in Ct making a delivery and will be home later this afternoon to finalize the deal with you. (9/7/2007)
Question: If you do accept my bid and then get my info and call me I wont be home until later this afternoon, just wanted to let you know. Tony (9/9/2007)
