Questions for this shipment:
Question:
Hi I was looking at shipments from east coast, North Carolina area, thru Vegas area. I see you have a motorcycle to move. I'm a shipper like you...just maybe if either gets a resonable bid..or someone close we can give him yours that way and mine from Vegas to NC. I have a Big Dog Chopper to get moved from Las Vegas to N.C. [removed] I had a shipper "Bikerrescue" who accepted my $350 target price but wanted half up front. He canceled his bid when I wouldn't do that. You can't do that, there is no protection for you at all. If they can't pay their own travel, find someone else. thks scott (12/20/2005)
Question:
to start with $350 is totally out of the ? your move should be around $800 anyway the deposit is to protect the driver to in case he gets there and you have changed your mind. who pays for his time and fuel see it works both ways. (12/25/2005)
Response:
Maybe you should see what Forward Air charges for covered motorcycle shipping before you make such a "totally" statement. Just to save you the trouble, it is 552.00. So I figure $800.00 is a totally high number. If someone wants to make some extra money on a shipment they are already making in this direction, $350.00 might just be worth it to them. (12/25/2005)
Question:
i have 2 boys that work for forward air and if you want your bike treatyed that way go ahead and ship with them. (12/26/2005)
Question:
So many people just dont realize how MUCH better the care AND service is with a USHIP driver. If they were actually charged for this level of care and service, few could afford it. (1/1/2006)
Response:
That's great and all but I'm not going to pay 25% of what I paid for something just to have it shipped. I will ride it home before I will pay 700.00 to 800.00 to have it shipped. If you don't want to ship for me, no problem but I don't need anymore preaching to. (1/1/2006)
Question:
We can secure it and deliver safly for you for 600.00..... Check our feedback and you will find we treat your cargo like it was ours.... (1/2/2006)
Response:
I have another bid for $550.00 that I am persuing. If that doesn't work out, I will get back to you. Thanks! (1/2/2006)
Question:
If I get the other bid I am working on I could go 500.00 (1/2/2006)
Response:
Wow! That sounds great. Let me know if that other bid works out as I haven't closed the deal with this other guy yet. (1/2/2006)
Question:
Is there a problem with payment before pick up if not I will bid right now as things are working with other shipper..... (1/3/2006)
Response:
No that is not a problem, however please make the bid for $502.00 as Uship is offering a small rebate for bids accepted over $501.00. What kind of time frame are we looking at? I want to make sure I get the bike insured before you pick it up. (1/3/2006)
Question:
Ok will bid at 502.00 I can pick up in 48 hrs and delivery would be straight through so about 4 days if all goes well with traffic and weather..... (1/3/2006)
