Questions for this shipment:
Question:
Hi, Thank you for your interest in our services and for requesting our bid. Unfortunately we are unable to service Washington state until spring due to limited access into that state EXCEPT on a private transport basis. Pricing for this service is based on mileage so not certain if you would be interested. Please do let me know as the what you have allowed in your budget for the trip as well as what timeframe you were needing service. Look forward to hearing back from you! Ty (2/18/2009)
Response:
Ty, I am comparing price to the cost and convenience of shipping via the airline Cargo rates. Right now the Airline would charge $450 and have delivery same day. I am flexible on timing if the price were reasonable. Brad Jewett (2/18/2009)
Response:
Brad, If you can fly a 160 lb dog for $450 that would be the way to go as my price for a Jumbo crate would be more then that!! We can't compete with airline prices nor do I wish to, but then again, hands on care 24/7 plus door to door service does come with a price attached. I'm sure you understande. The only thing I can suggest is that you get a guarantee from the airlines that should temperatures be under or over their temperature restrictions on the date you have booked Bevo's flight that will take him. Get phone calls on a daily basis with people from the airport that they can catch their flight but their pet can not be boarded due to restrictions. Good luck and safe travel's for Bevo! Ty (2/18/2009)
Question:
i might be able to help youp out as i will be in seattle wa. within the next to ten days and coming back to texas, however i agree with the airlines, however check with them again as there was a new airline regulation limiting the animals being shiped..and you would be looking at at least 450 for the size of the dog you have, however if i canhelp please let me know . (2/20/2009)
Response:
I'm not sure about your question? Are you interested in the shipment and if so, what method of shipping would you be providing? I can accompany my pet on the airlines so I wouldn't need that type of service. I look forward to knowing if you are able and interested in shipping our pet at the price listed. (2/20/2009)
Response:
what you are asking is this....2350 miles @ 12-15 MPG = 175 gallons of deisel fuel @ 2.50 AVE. = 440. APP. and you are looking for 450.00. as nice as that would be at some point what would you expect your shipper to make for his time? i would love to ship your pup and could however not at the price you are hoping for. That is why you ahve not received any bids and if you do then your pup will be shipped in the back of a pickup, or small compact car. i am sorry i can not help you at that price. sorry for being so honest. (2/20/2009)
Response:
I understand the economics and also understand that volume shipping drives the economics. So if this is a one-off and I would be your only customer then I understand. You run your business as you see fit. If the economics don't make sense for you then no problem, it is your business. I have received a prior quote for $300 but am not accepting due to the quality of service issues, however for a volume shipper this actually is a good deal and would be their break-even shipment with the rest being profit. (2/20/2009)
Response:
well i am glad you do understand that. with the size of your dog it takes up the space of three medium sized dogs and therefore makes better economics for us to take three than it is to take the one. i love my animals . good luck (2/20/2009)
Question:
we are planning a trip out of washington around the 19th. Can move your 2 dogs for you for $550. Need someone to meet us at an easy on and off location cause we drive a semi and haul horses. If you are interested let me know and I can bid. Thank you, Baconnlegs (3/7/2009)
Response:
Ok, meeting you at a convenient location wouldn't be a problem. What type of storage space do you have for a dog? There is only 1 dog to ship. Look forward to your bid. (3/7/2009)
Response:
If its just 1 dog we can do it for $450. can you bring the dog to Enumclaw, Wa? Its 40 miles south of you. At we are going to San Antonio which is about an hour from your location in TX. Ill make a formal bid and you can see out truck. It is a 65' air ride van, double insulated so it doesnt get cold. At nights we do close the windows. we stop every 3-4 hours to feed and water the animals. If we arent completely full going to TX we can probably give you dog a 8X8 box stall with his toys and kennel inside. That way he can get out and walk around if needed. Dont know if we will have one but it is an option if we leave without a full load. If you have any questions please let me know. Thank you, Brenda (3/7/2009)
Response:
We can do drop him off in Enumclaw. Your 8x8 is secure from other animals like horses, etc. What other types of animals will you be transporting? (3/7/2009)
Response:
That would be great. We just have horses going out and yes, the box stalls are all the way to the ground. No way of getting out or in..They are very nice. If we are full going out your dog will start in his kennel and as we drop off a few horses we can put him/her in a box stall. As of right now though we arent full. If you have any other questions please let me know. Thank you, Baconnlegs (3/7/2009)
