Questions for this shipment:

Question: can you tell me what the furniture pieces are? Can these be picked up and delivered on Sunday April 22nd? (4/3/2007)
Response: There is a triple dresser, a smallish dresser, and a tall narrow lingerie chest. There is also a small drop leaf table, like about the size of an end table. Two of the pieces have glass protectors that go on the tops (the one for the triple dresser is pretty big. There are some pictures and small misc household items too. I think the 24th would work. (4/3/2007)
Question: Can these be picked up and delivered on Sunday April 22nd? (4/4/2007)
Response: Yes, that would be fine. (4/4/2007)
Question: I am in Charlotte, NC and would have to drive to Ky and on the Md. The gas alone would be over $200 plus travel time. About the lowest I could bid would be $695 with a deposit of $295 by postal money order and the balance at dropoff in cash or money order, since you would not be in Ky. to make a 2nd payment toward the balance. Please check my feedback and compare to others. We have no negatives and we have no retractions. Some providers do not show up for various reasons. (4/5/2007)
Response: I certainly understand your pricing and have read all the good feedback about you...however I feel compelled to wait a bit to see if I can get a better price -I could almost drive out and bring the stuff back myself for the price you're offering. But again, I do understand. And to tell you the truth, my load is hardly worth a whole truck. It's in a small cubicle in the storage facility and the cubicle is not even half full. In fairness, though, I need to say I made 2 mistakes in my listing. The final destination is not a business - it is a residence (no stairs, though). Also all the furniture needs protection, not just the ones I indicated. Maybe somebody else will hire you to make the same trip and you could just squeeze my stuff in with theirs. Serving 2 clients at once would make us both happier. (4/5/2007)
Question: Thank you for your bid request. If the timeframe of the week of April 23rd will work, we may be able to take care of this for you. Please advise. Thank you. Greyhound. (4/6/2007)
Response: Yes, I do think the week of April 23rd would be okay. Are you talking about a weekday delivery? We could possibly do that. I have 2 mistakes on my listing - I stated that only 2 pieces of furniture need protection, but they all do. Also the drop off is not a business, it's a residence (but there are no stairs). Just wanted to clear that up before we get any further. Thanks (4/6/2007)
Question: I'll try to look for more shipments in your area. The changes or errors you mention are not problem. Packing and padding is what we do best. (4/6/2007)
Response: I'm willing to wait a bit. If no acceptable offers come up in April, I'm willing to wait until May, but after that I'll have to make a decision as the rent to the storage facility will start adding up. Thanks for the time you've spent communicating with me. I hope it works out, but if not, I'll be sure to mention you to any of my friends who find themselves needing movers. (4/6/2007)
Question: Thank you for your quick response to my question. I'd be willing to take this for something on the order of $325.00, with you paying the (7.9%) U-Ship match fee. If that works for you, let me know and I'll place a formal bid and schedule it into the route for the week of the 23rd. Full coverage cargo liability insurance will be included in the cost, also. No problem with the changes, and yes, the delivery would most likely be on a week day. Thank you. Greyhound. (4/7/2007)
Response: Would you have someone with you to help load and unload the heavy stuff? I like what you said about insurance because there's a 12 piece setting of silverware that I really would like covered. (4/7/2007)
Question: I'm willing to wait a bit. If no acceptable offers come up in April.............You show your target price as 250.00. Is this the maximum bid u are willing to accept? I need to know so I can offer you my service and my feedback. You need to consider the continued cost of storage thru May. Is $325 now better than $250 end of May? Tell me the maximum bid you'll accept and let me look at your listing over the next couple days and see what I can do. (4/7/2007)
Response: Yes, $325 now is better than $250 in May, but only because I'd like to get it over with -I really don't have a deadline. The reason I picked $250 is because it was a little lower than the average for the computed distance. Would you have a helper to lift the heavy stuff? (4/7/2007)
Question: If need be, I can pull local labor from wherever I am, but generally, I manage to do it by myself. (And yes, they would be covered under my insurance.) I have a full array of dollies and other load handling equipment, including a custom loading ramp. I understand that this is being picked up from a storage facility, so that's no problem. I believe that you told me that the delivery is a first floor house--but how many steps are there leading up to the front or back door? Is there a slider that can be used? Please provide information as to the entrances available. Thank you. I like my jobs to run smoothly and like to know the details before I bid. Thank you. Greyhound. (4/7/2007)
Response: No need for any local labor. My husband will meet you there and help unload. Of course, he would like you to call him when you get close cuz he'll be driving to Silver Spring from Columbia. The furniture will go in through the garage (which will be empty) of our daughter's house. There are 2 steps that go up from the garage into the basement and the furniture will go in the room that's right through the door. Only the furniture will go into the house - the rest is little stuff that my husband will load into our car. I respect your interest in details as I wouldn't want any surprises either. Can you think of anything else? Thanks (4/8/2007)
Question: No, nothing else at present. If I think of anything else, I'll be in touch. Thanks, Greyhound. (4/9/2007)
Response: Okay, if you are still thinking that $325 with me paying the matching fee sounds feasible, then I would accept your bid. (4/9/2007)
Question: Thanks for your response. I'm just trying to locate other work that is compatable with it, but I can assure you that the $325.00 is the cap with regard to price. Thank you for your patience. Regards, Greyhound. (4/9/2007)
Response: Okay, I'll be patient, but please let me know as soon as you can. I was willing to pay another month's rent for storage, but now you've whetted my appetite for getting this done in April. Thanks for all your prompt responses that have given me confidence in you. (4/9/2007)
Question: You're most welcome. It's just a matter of getting you the best price without incurring loss for myself. It's what I do for a living. Regards, Greyhound. (4/9/2007)
Question: Hi! Just wanted to touch base and let you know that I'm making progress with other items to and from, so will probably be bidding by tomorrow-next day latest. Thanks, Greyhound. (4/10/2007)
Response: Thanks for letting me know you're still in the game. I'll be waiting for your next communication. (4/10/2007)
Question: Hello, Shipper. I'm going to be away from the web for acouple of days, but I promised to get the bid in, so I am submitting it tonight. Thanks for your patience. It is greatly appreciated. Greyhound. (4/11/2007)
Response: I just accepted your bid. I'm looking forward to doing business with you. Would you prefer that I send you my key and code, rather than sending it to the facility? (4/11/2007)
