Questions for this shipment:

Question: We will be through the pickup location on Saturday 10/20 early afternoon and can pickup at that time. Can not deliver until 10/30-31. Let me know if this timeframe will work for you and I will bid. Check out my profile and feedback. Thanks, LES (10/19/2007)
Response: Hi Les, Thanks for the response. I am sorry, but all of the art needs to be at the gallery no later than October 27. (10/19/2007)
Response: If you can not work out a shipping arrangement with another shipper - give me a bid request and I will give a good price for delivery 10/30. I have plenty of room in my 8'6" x 21' enclosed trailer. Thanks, LES (10/20/2007)
Response: Thanks Les for the responce. I will keep you in mind, though the delivery has be by Oct 27, no later. (10/21/2007)
Question: Good afternoon....we will be going through the pick up area late Saturday afternoon. We are headed home to Sarasota. It looks like your shipment is going to Bird Key. We live only 5 miles from there. Would you consider letting us take these on our 35ft flatbed? I see they are packaged well. We would tarp them and strap them down. Let me know a.s.a.p. so that we may place a bid. It would be done fairly cheap for you. Thank You!!! (10/19/2007)
Response: All of the art is in boxes or boxed in rigid insulation. They are not packed well enough for Fed-Ex or UPS, so I am a little hesitant to have them on a flatbed only under a tarp. I would feel much more secure having everything inside a van or truck. Thanks for asking and have a safe trip home. (10/19/2007)
Response: Thank you for such a quick response. We are also bringing back a Honda CRV. We could lay the back seat of that down and put the art work inside of it. We also have the back seat of our crew cab truck. Are they stackable?....Dave & Diane (10/19/2007)
Response: Thank you for such a quick response too. A few of the boxes are stackable (3@ 18x24x10 deep, 1@ 16x16x16, and 1@ 19x19x10 deep) the others are thin and should be upright side by side (2@ 30x30x7, 1 @ 36x36x6, and 1@30x25x6). The large works in rigid insulation are 24x58x6, 35x35x8, 62x77x6, and these need to be side by side. Alot of awkward sizes with delicate surfaces. (10/19/2007)
Response: I understand. I am afraid to take a chance although I do think we could do it. They are just so delicate I would not want to take a risk on marring them. Thank You anyway! (10/19/2007)
Question: Do you think that the large one will fit in a cargo van at an angle? We have relatives in Murray. I am from Bradenton. Lived there for 23 years. Very familiar with the area. Ex ff/emt. Would like to do this for you if possible. Let me know what you think. Very safe and reliable. New to uship but have other references. I have shipped robotics ($400,000) and other sensitive items. Thank you. (10/19/2007)
Response: The large painting should fit in a cargo van at an angle, that would be no problem. In regard to the other pieces, the thin boxes need to be upright so the art just moves from side to side...if they were laying flat on the floor and bounced the whole way to Florida, I think there would be some damage. (10/19/2007)
Response: I don't think I would lay them on the floor. They would also be placed upright also. If you think that everything would fit in a cargo van, let me know. We would pad the floor also before delivery. The van is open to the cargo area so that we could keep a eye on the items. Thamks. (10/19/2007)
Response: The pieces need to be at the gallery on either Oct. 26 or 27...no later. If you think everything will fit in your cargo van, give me a price. I have a few bids right now that i have to repond to, but I like the size and control of a cargo van. (10/20/2007)
Response: I think that they will fit into my van. I see your measurements for the big one is about 57 inches by 66 inche. If the height is 57 then we should have no problem at all. I was thinking around $1050 for the shipment. One night layover not to rush the load. Let me know what you think. It is 1:12pm. I am in Cleveland at this time on my way home. I will respond back in about 4 hours. Thank you for your consideration. (10/20/2007)
Response: The final height of the large painting is 57 1/2"...just a hair tall, but I think we can make it work. It is an easy 1 1/2 day ride from Paducah, so there is no rush. The work cannot get to the gallery before Wednesday, October 24 anyway because they are closed Sunday-Tuesday. The $1050 sounds fair. Let me know how you would accept payment and we can go on from there. Thanks alot. (10/20/2007)
Response: Hello it's me. [content removed - all bids must be all inclusive - uShip.] Also I just delivered for a u-ship custmer today and he is very happy. He is goig to do a feedback Mon. Payment I would like is cash, cashiers check, money order or certified check. Cash is real nice! We have extra padding to bring with us. I have an appreciation for art as I create my own native artwork and crafts. I am honored that you have a trust in us. Let me know asap. I'm thinking of picking up on Friday morning. How late can I deliver on Sat. Thank you very much. I will bid as soon as you respond. (10/20/2007)
Response: The work needs to be at the gallery by 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 27. If you picked up the work on Friday morning there should be no problem. I would alert the gallery that you will be coming. You previously gave me a bid of $1050, and I am a little confused about the $1106.34...which is the actualt bid? I never pay 100% of the bill at pick up time. I will pay 50% upfront and the rest will be at the gallery when you deliver. Is that okay with you? (10/20/2007)
Question: It's me again. Sorry to bother you, but if you could respond tonight, I could set up a shipment to come that way and drop in Owensboro. I will bid as soon as I hear from you. Thanks. T (10/20/2007)
Question: Hi my bid is due to expire soon and I was wondering if you are close to making a decision yet? My bid is based on special handling solus hot shot direct delivery in a 2007 full sized cargo van. Please see my feedback for comments from other customers as to how I dealt with their shipments. I am not a million miles out on price and can assure of you of service and reliability second to none. Thanks John (10/20/2007)
Response: Hi John, I recieved quite a few bids, all in the same ball park. I will be making a final decision later today, once I go through things one more time. Thanks for your reply and patience. (10/21/2007)
Response: Thank you I appreciate the quick reply. Good luck with your shipment - John (10/21/2007)
Question: [content removed - To avoid confusion on the part of the customer, TSP’s may no longer mention “uShip fees”, "uShip commission", or similar language in their Q&A – this will now be a flaggable offense as bids must be all inclusive. -uShip] I have no problem with the payment method. Ready to go Fri and will have it there Sat. no problem at all. Should arrive early afternoon. Like we agreed, no rush, nice and easy. Thanks. (10/21/2007)
Response: Okay, let's do this. I will have a chashiers check for half of the fee ($553) and the second half will be waiting for you at the gallery when you arrive on Saturday. I will alert the gallery that the works will be arriving sometime on Saturday afternoon, so that someone will be there to receive them and pay you. I look forward to meeting you and working with you. I have a couple more shipments coming up in the near future so we may be able to work together again. (10/21/2007)
