Antique Painting
Description: Antique painting (150 years old)with elaborate frame going from Miami-Florida to North Bergen-New Jersey. Ideally, Needs to be placed in a good wooden crate with the utmost care to avoid damage. Also, needs full coverage insurance for $10K. Door to door service. Flexible with dates.

Packaging:

Secured Crate. First needs to be wrapped with cotton or soft linen next to the painting (canvas) itself because plastic or bubble wrap can cause sweating and this is something we don't want as it would cause damage to the canvas. After first wrapping with cotton or soft linen, I suggest putting foam inside the crate before placing the painting in the crate.

Special Handling Instructions:

150 year old painting.

Question: Good morning. I just completed my current Florida run and am booking now for my next run North. I would like to schedule pick ups starting no later than Monday, June 8th, with final north bound deliveries expected within a week.(depending on how quickly I can fill a load) If this time frame could meet your needs on this, and there would be some assist with loading and unloading, if needed, I can get this delivered for you for 825(Includes crating on site), paid at pick up via PayPal(preferred) or cash. If you would be so gracious, please let me know as soon as possible so I can know whether to possibly add this to my schedule, or focus my efforts elsewhere. Thanks, Howard. Response: Thanks for your bid Howard. I am going to wait a couple of days to see if I get other bids because ideally I don't want to spend more than $600 If I don't get any other bids, I will let you know and accept yours even though is $825. Response: insurance is included..up to 50k. it's part of my business insurance policy so it's there. Without a doubt, you'll get other bids, but please, be careful who you select as this isn't something you can just go to Wal-Mart and replace or fix. My rate is higher yes, but I will pack AND crate(in wood) it on site(would require accurate dims ahead of time to obtain the materials) (6/5/2009)

Question: Might also add here before I forget..whomever you select..please make sure they DO NOT use bubble wrap next to the painting itself. Plastic can cause sweating in high temp/humidity conditions. This really needs a cotton or soft linen wrap first. (6/5/2009)

Question: lol, I just saw one of the questions use,, cotton or soft lining,,, actually, the proper way although it is very expensive, would be glassine paper, first then bubble wrap lightly then goes in either a cardboard box or, crated depending on what you wanted to go with, we will place our bid in,, and give you your rate, although we normally charge double your amount, just wanna make sure, painting gets there safely,, thanks, bgs,, (6/7/2009)

Question: bubble wrap ofcourse only around the edges, to protect from bouncing up and down, and then either foam or blankets to keep painting from moving around in crate, or box which ever you wanna go with, thanks bgs (6/7/2009)
