Questions for this shipment:

Question: We are currently in South Jersey and will be in Mo Wed. or Thursday. We would need to pickup this Sunday. We can do this for 550. If interested, please reply back asap, time is running short. thanks coors72 (8/29/2009)
Response: Tell me about your company, where you are based out of , how long in business? What is your experience moving this type of furniture? What type of service are you offering ( want to make sure our expectations are on the same page). How many movers will you have to load and unload? I will get in touch with the party in Chevy Chase Maryland to see about their availablity tomorrow. What time frame are you talking about. Let me know how I can contact you via phone. I have now added pictures to the listing. You can ignore the piece on the wall above the large credenza as it is not a part of what you are moving. How do I buy insurance for the move? Regards, Barry (8/29/2009)
Response: Please check out our profile and feedback. We also have a picture of our vehicle. I carry 100,000 insurance on contents, so you are 100% covered. There will be 10 pieces of antique furniture which own and 3 pieces that belong to other people. The pieces are larger than I thought, so my bid will be 625. We will need to pickup around noon tomorrow, give or take an hour or two. I will place a bid in about 1 hour. Remember, I must know something tonight, or early tomorrow morning. Please read our profile and feedback carefully. thanks coors72. (8/29/2009)
Response: Thank you for your email. Since I've received your original email I was able to read about your company as well as your feedback. Are you with this crew now? How will you pack this? I have not yet been able to get in contact with the owners of the furniture. I will be back in contact with you via email. If we are able to make this work, at what point do we get to exchange contact information ( this is the first time that I have used this service)? I also take it that the furniture will stay in your possession through delivery and not be subcontracted? Regards, Barry (8/29/2009)
Response: I have my crew with me now. We pickup and deliver ourselves, nothing is subcontracted. We will be on both ends to personally guarantee top notch service. We could possibly pickup Monday if we have to. thanks coors72 (8/29/2009)
Response: I sent the email requesting noon on Wednesday for pickup. I don't know for sure if I have an active link back to you so ping me in the morning. (8/30/2009)
Response: Barry, once you accept the bid my contact info and yours will appear and we wil be able to communicate by cell which is much preferred by me. coors72 (8/31/2009)
Question: Out of the thousands of providers on U-ship We are #1 in pianos and items that need special care. my feedback speaks for itself. my prices may be higher, but sometimes you get what you pay for. (8/29/2009)
Response: Your bid does not comply with my requirements of being blanket shipped. You indicate that it has to be crated or there is an extra cost for blanket shipping. Please just give me a price for for what I asked for. (8/29/2009)
Response: Hi,shipper in your ad you asked for white glove service,at both ends,Thank you (8/29/2009)
Response: That is correct. How many people will you have on your moving crew when you pick the furniture up and deliver it? Do you have your own fleet or is this all subcontracted? I have recently had a bad experience with a mover that we used to move my daughter home from college and to law school ( work was subcontracted). Can you share with the logistics of the move would be, how many times will the furniture be transferred? How will it be wrapped ? Do we need to crate this? Just trying to understand how this move would work and how my furniture will be moved and tranferred. Thanks, Barry (8/29/2009)
Response: No, you will not need to crate,I can blanket wrap. Your items will be moved from one truck to a terminal then to another truck. This will be with another copmany silimiliar to DHL or MAyflower, but they have better service and they specialize in special items such as antiques. your items will not go in someones van, or basic moving truck. Your items will be protected and they will ride in an air ride vehicle, this means that the items will not move at all intransport. Nothing will be placed on top of your items, and they will not shoved around inthe van. My service comes with two men pick up and deliveries. (8/29/2009)
Response: Thank you for the information. In looking at the bids, your proposal for service is currently 2.5 times the low bid. (8/29/2009)
Response: I could place a bid and I could have my cousin pick up your items in a pick up and drive them across the country. My experience and my feedback, speaks volumes. For my regular customers my price is 50% lower than all carriers who offer these kinds of service. You can have someone crate your items and put them on a freight truck. this is not the safest but it may be the cheapest. (8/29/2009)
Response: Obvioulsy I am not looking for someone in a pickup to move the furniture. Since you have been a member of uship since 4/09 your feedback is excellent. I don't know anything about you prior to that. I was simply asking about crating and trying to understand what you recommend in terms of moving my furniture to ensure safe transportation, as the first bid that you placed did not indicate that it was white glove at both ends as I requested.I have no idea what your prices would be for your regular customers so I have no idea how you have priced this vs those charges. I am not looking for the cheapest move, however with an antique mover with a long history of spotless feedback willing to move it on his truck, blanket wrapped, secured and no load on top of it with no transfer to another company for alot less than what you have bid it is an attractive alternative for me to consider. Your writeup says that you will do your best to meet or beat any reasonable quote. Thanks for the info. (8/29/2009)
Response: The shipper who placed the other bid has great feedback, his price is extremely low, and I would hate to loose your business, but he has given you a great price. I would accept his bid. I will lower my price to compete. (8/30/2009)
Response: Thanks for the note, I don't see that you adjusted your bid? (8/30/2009)
Response: Hi, I just want to check to see if the hutch has glass. (8/30/2009)
Response: No, there is no glass anywhere in this set. (8/30/2009)
Question: Exchange info is provided after bid acceptance. Uship thinks they lose their 12% commission. coors72 (8/29/2009)
Question: Our bid is expiring soon. We can wait until Monday morning for pickup if needed. Please advise. coors72 (8/30/2009)
Response: Thanks for the note and your willingness to be flexible. I still have not been able to reach the owners this morning ( they could be at church but my guess is they are out of town). If I can reach them what is your time window to pick it up tomorrow? As I said last night, I understand that you need to manage your time and maximize your cashflow, so I'd suggest moving on to something else if it is available. Please advise and leave a message so I can close the loop with you. Many thanks, Barry (8/30/2009)
Response: I am currently in NJ and will be checking out tomorrow morning. Therefore noon Monday would be the deadline for pickup. I will be in MO Tuesday or Wednesday with or without the furniture. I hope it is with the furniture. Thanks for keeping me updated. coors72 (8/30/2009)
Response: Coors 72, I did get in touch with the owners just a bit ago. They are unable to accomodate a pickup tomorrow, but could do Wednesday. I would like for you to move the furniture but I don't see this working out unless you have additional flexibility in your schedule to wait until Wednesday? In the event that you are interested, I understand that time is money and would be willing to let you increase your bid for the "down time". If not, I understand. Do you by chance have another trip planned to DC or east coast in the near future? Many thanks, you have been great. Next time I move something I will send you an invite to bid! (8/30/2009)
Response: Barry, I will wait around for Wed. pickup if 150 extra is not out of line. Please respond back by 9 am eastern time. I could do 125 if that is a dealbreaker. thanks coors72 (8/30/2009)
Response: I am willing to do the extra $150. The sellers have been beyond difficult to deal with and as you have seen are challenging to get hold of. I will email them now as if I call they will flip out.I will tell them I've made a deal with you for Wed. What time would you like to pick it up as I will ask for that instead of asking what time they will be available? Let me know. Thanks, Barry (8/30/2009)
Response: Around noon. Thanks for the difference. I will be leaving for KS immediately after pickup. If they can't do noon, please try to get a time closely after that. thanks coors72 (8/30/2009)
Question: I CAN DO $900 IN A WEEK OR 2 (8/30/2009)
Response: Thank you for your note. I would encourage you to submit a bid and be specific about the services you will provide ( you will need at least two people to load and unload). I would be more interested in having you pick it up the furniture within the next week. Please indicate approx when the shipment would arrive. At the amount that you mention, you would not be the low bid ( not saying that I am going to take the low bid just sharing info). Where are you based out of and how many antique moves have you done ( it looks like one per your feed back and another move of household goods). Do you offer me insurance on the move for damage of the goods or the ability to buy it? (8/30/2009)
Response: NEVER DID ANTIQUE MOVE. SOME OF THE ITEMS I SHIPPED LAST WEEK WERE OLDER ITEMS FORM A OLDER LADY'S HOUSE TO HER KIDS HOUSE. I DON'T OFFER INSURANCE. YOU MAY WRAP EVERYTHING YOURSELD OR I CAN STRAP DOWN AND PUT BLANKETS ON EVERYTHING. I HAVE TARPS TO. MY LOADS I TRY NOT TO FILL THE TRUCK FULL BECAUSE OF ANYTHING SHIFTING OR SOMETHINTHING HITTING OTHER ITEMS. I WILL PLACE THE BID BUT AS I SAID I MAY NEED 2 WEEKS TO FILL THE TRUCK. BUT I CAN UPDATE YOU. (8/30/2009)
Question: Barry, let me know something soon. thanks coors72 (8/31/2009)
Response: I just got an email from the seller. Noon on Wednesday for pickup is all set, so we are good to go. Sorry for the delay, I had logged on to accept you bid and saw the email from the seller. I answered it and then saw that your email came in. I can be reached about anytime today on the phone number you receive. Barry (8/31/2009)
Response: Have you accepted my bid? coors72 (8/31/2009)
Question: Barry, I need to know something very soon. thanks coors72 (8/31/2009)
