Question: Does the top come off? I only have 6'3" inside my trailer for height. If it does I can do it door to door for 575.00.Please read my feedbacks. (2/14/2009)

Response: The top does fold down, but I don't have the original "holders" to keep top contained while folded down, & I'm afraid jostling & vibration could damage top. I will ask my mechanic who has a similar car if he can rig up something to hold it down. And whether he'd have to remove the windshield to be below 6'3".
This is first time I've used this site. Presume I'll be able to reach you to respond. If you don't hear from me in a few days, pls initiate contact.
Don't know if mechanic is around on weekend. (2/14/2009)

Question: Hello Shipper. We haul mostly high end or classic cars and bikes. Please feel free to review feedback and profile. Fully insured and DOT compliant. Would love to add your shipment to our Positive Feedback! We can transport in 24' ENCLOSED car hauler dry and secure for $900 this week. I'm familiar with the type of vehicle and I'm sure that the top will lower enough to get through rear door opening. Please advise if you would like us to bid. (2/15/2009)

Response: Thanks for responding. Suggested price is beyond my budget.
And frankly, I'm seeing some rather lower offers. (2/15/2009)

Response: I understand shipper. Thought you were looking for enclosed, legal and insured. Best of Luck. (2/15/2009)

Question: Larry, did your mechanic give you a response to the top down question posted earlier? (2/16/2009)

Response: He wa going to look at the car yesterday & respond.
are you interested in moving it "top down", or are you tracking my situation/progress??
(2/17/2009)

Response: If top can be put down, I'll bid $700 for your move. I've got an enclosed trailer but the 6'6" height poses a problem going up ramp @ rear door opening. Thanks for your timely response. The height issue is why I cancelled my initial lofty bid. Thanks, Shawn (2/17/2009)

Response: Shawn-- Here's the scoop-- Mechanic has pair of retaining brackets, but they have to be modified. Total cost quoted between $4-500.
If I can get him to moderate cost of these, and you have any room in your price, maybe we can put this together.
He'd probably need couple days to modify/paint them.
1-Can you see your way clear to moderate your price?
2-Have you handled Antique cars?
3-Insurance coverage??
Thanks, Shawn
Larry
(2/17/2009)

Response: wow, i never realized it would be that involved. i have handled collector cars, this would be the oldest though. handled 50's and 60's collector pieces and muscle car/hot rods also some exotics. i do have $1,000,000 liability and $100,000 cargo insurance. my price is pretty bare bones but at this price level i would not lose a deal over $100 if you know what i mean. thanks shawn (2/17/2009)

Response: Thanks, Shawn. I'll be back to you soon
When would you propose to do this if it works out?? (2/17/2009)

Response: probably last week in feb, i'm headed to fla with a load of motorcycles this week. thanks for your dilligence with all of the details. shawn (2/17/2009)

Response: OK. Last week in Feb works, provided I can get the "other side of the puzzle" assembled. Later than that may not work for me.
Will get back to you shortly. Thanks, Shawn.

Question: I am coming to Daytona Beach next weekend from NY. I can pick the car up and bring it to Daytona for $500. Enclosed tall trailer, car will fit no problem. (2/22/2009)

Response: Hi Mark-
1-car needs to be delivered to Bradenton FL area (34243). Cost to do that?
2-Confirm, pls, Cargo Insurance (value $20,000)
3-Someone can drive car on for you. Daytime loading only. I can drive car off in Fla.
4-same trailer, driver from P/U thru Dely?
Thx Mark (2/22/2009)

Response: Yes it would be the same driver, actually it would be me.
I am able to quote the lower price to Daytona because that's where I am going with the rest of the load (motorcycles to daytona for Bike Week). Unfortunately from Daytona to Bradenton (if I did my math right) is about 320 miles round trip, which puts the cost to deliver it there up almost to what the charge is coming from PA down to Daytona. I'm sorry I can't do it for less. (2/23/2009)

Question: Larry, Do you still need to ship your Antique? I haul Exotic cars from all over FL to shows like 31 RR,35 Bentley,Jim Parks Packard's and Classic cars for RM Auction and shows in Ft Laud,Monterey Pebble Beach, and the show the 14th of march in Amelia Island. In my 48ft ENCLOSED TRLR,Door to Door, ins ECT for $775,please ck my feed backs and let me know if you would like a bid. In the area of p/u this weekend,Thanks for your time and I run out of the Daytona Beach area. Again Thanks Russ (2/23/2009)

Question: Hello,Are you still in need of transport? We transport custom enclosed, Please review our profile, Thanks :-)Just transported a 1911 Maxwell AB :-) (2/23/2009)

Response: Yes still open. Need "budget" price.
Lots of motorcycles going north from Daytona after March 8th for return trip. (2/24/2009)

Response: Hello Again, Let us try to find something from our home base to your pickup location were as we could down cost on your transport, Thanks :-) (2/24/2009)

Response: Thx (2/24/2009)

Response: Hello Again, we're waiting on an auction item should know later tonight if they win, Hope to do business with you, Thanks
(2/24/2009)

Question: Hello, I have given you a good pre-bid in the Q&A and would hope you might give some sort of response to it ????Thanks Russ (2/24/2009)

Response: Hi Russ- Sorry for delay. Have couple interested carriers with somewhat lower pricing, but unclear when move would be made.
Dates you floated are weekend. car is at repair garage, available weekdays (or at add'l cost on Sat).
If car's location, destination & p/u schedule works for you at $625 cash on del'y, with arrival Bradenton/Sarasota 1st week of March, let's do it.
Lots of Motorcycles heading north from Daytona after next week's meet, if that helps.
Pls let me know. Again, sorry for delayed response. (2/24/2009)

Response: First I live in DAYTONA and don't need the biker crap to haul, also I know you might get a cheaper bid,I am giving you a good bid by an exper.hauler, $775 is what I gave you and you said $625 and I say no less than $700 Thanks Russ (2/24/2009)

Response: Did not mean to offend you by referring to motorcycles. Your profile speaks about them.
Could you pick up weekday business hours? Approx. when? When would you deliver, please?
(2/24/2009)

Response: Yes we can p/u on mon or tues the 2 or3rd march and have to you about 3 days after p/u. no big deal about the bikes and yes I do haul them to fill up my trlr at times, hope this p/u and del is ok,Thanks and have a good day, Russ (2/25/2009)

Response: OK, Russ, let's proceed @ $700, your p/u 3/2 or 3/3 9-5 in Unionville, PA. My mechanic would come in a LITTLE early or stay A LITTLE late with lots of notice. I have his biz, cell, & home phone numbers.
He prefers LOTS of communication (multiple phone calls).
Delivery by 3/6 as agreed.
Prefer car being shipped TOP UP. If height a problem, tell me & Lou will lower top before you get there. He must be there to load car, so he needs plenty notice ref your arrival time.
This is my first uship experience, so I presume next step is your bid, right??
Look forward to working with you. Larry (2/25/2009)

Response: Larry having computer prob, using my phone now like text bid in morn russ (2/25/2009)

If all goes well, you could pick up between 2 & 5 PM. today. No later.
He was not happy because he asked for couple days notice. But he's a good guy.
