Question:
6/12/2011
we can help you with this move ,problem is it is very expensive to move this truck. We do them all the time.We have the right trailer. With fuel prices and the fact very little freight comes out of South Florida a truck will more than likely have to dead head up to the Jacksonville area or into Georgia, We can help and we know the facility in San Clemente. Call them and talk with steve. Report a Violation
Response: I've had several bids already where $3840 and that was on the extreme high side. Dead-heading any of the route should not be reflected in the price because I can wait until a return load is coordinated. This load ships on either a common flat-deck or drop frame flatbed trailer. The cab and bed fold down a significant amount to reduce OA height. Also, considering that at < 23K pounds this truck is nowhere near the weight of a loaded dry van and it's about a 3 day route all-highway. I'm sure that there aren't many people that are going to pass up $1000+ profit for 3 days (or less) worth of work. 6/12/2011Report a Violation

What price are you ready to pay? Fixemer.Report a Violation
Response: I had a private bid for $3250, if someone can match or beat that then I will accept. 6/14/2011Report a Violation

Shipper, once that roof is lowered , what is the over all height? Thanks .mReport a Violation
Response: OA height at the air intake, smokestack and spare tire davit are 9'2" reduced from about 10' 11" with the cargo bows in place. if the cab is folded down it will be full of water by the time it gets here if the shipper hits rain. 6/21/2011Report a Violation
Response: : I'm sure arraingments can be made with the carrier to tarp the cab to reduce the amount of water to very little or even non at all, would that be a problem? Thanks.m6/21/2011Report a Violation
Response: even if the cab folds the truck still has a exhaust pipe that doesn't have a clamp or bolt removal, air intake tube and non-removable spare tire davit that is about 4" taller than the cab6/21/2011Report a Violation
Response: : Thank you . There are many factor that take place sir then just the weight and highway miles . This is 27' of deck ,23k, going 2689 miles most common carriers and even owner operators won't even consider moving their trucks for less then 2 a mile. If you found a carrier to do it for 3250 take it. Thanks.m 6/21/2011Report a Violation
Response: carrier backed out for $3250, that price was considering another load to take up the remaining space on the trailer which fell through. right now i think $3900 would take the cake. I'm over playing this coordination game back and forth with people. 7/6/2011Report a Violation
Response: : Not interested. Your rate is going to continue to cause you problems. If you want it done you're going to have to pay the freight. Good luck getting it for nothing. There's a lot of those out here. They have the same problems you are having.7/6/2011Report a Violation
Question:
6/22/2011
How long are you going to wait to ship this truck. I have seen it posted on another load board and has been there for almost 3 weeks. This is a big truck and heavy. special equipment as a regular flatbed is OUT of the question. To tall almost 52 insches off the groung and the size ramps you would need would be almost 18 ft. just to get it up if you could. Stepdeck landoll or RGN is the only way to go. If you have a trucker willing to take it for what you say Jump at it. If you spoke to a broker he may be looking for a truck headed that way. But as the one gentlemen said it 27 ft long that is a full load on a RGN and better than half on a step deck .. We can do this for you but you are in the 6k range and 21/2 day delivery from time of pick up. Running team drivers down there.and you have it before 4th of July.. Report a Violation
Response: I understand all of that, I just had a very experienced driver ( not a broker) say he'll do it for $3700 on a stepdeck, he's just coordinating a load for the return trip, I'm not in a rush since the truck requires a CDL to drive, so I'm working on that right now.... I still have 3-4 weeks until I can even use it. There are several people working on it at the same time so whoever get the best rate, gets the load. The truck only cost $13K so to spend more than 1/3rd of the price of the truck to get it here is astronomical, I know fuel prices are what they are and fees this and percentage that, but I'm just simply not going to pay more than is ABSOLUTELY bottom dollar minimum to get it here. 6/22/2011Report a Violation
Response: : I understand all of it but if I gave you the truck for free there is still a cost of shipping. I get all of the cost factor. Yes I also get you need a a cdl but what does that have to do with you getting the truck, I would think it would be better in your hands in Florida than in California.. wish we could help you.. 6/22/2011Report a Violation
