I travel to the east pretty regular. What kind of price range are you looking for. I could haul this across the back of my truck next time I head in that direction.

Response: I was expecting to spend $600.00 for shipping. Does that work for you.
8/27/2012
Response: : Yeah that would work if you don't mind waiting for me to find a haul over there. I would also have to strap this across the top of my truck. I woul.d protect it wouldn't rub
8/27/2012
Response: I do not think the wait would be a problem. How long would you guess it would be before you are able to put together your next run east. This boat is a usable antique. Weather is not a problem, nor should chaifing from straps or rope be a problem. I would like to avoid gouging or denting. Your reviews are very positive so I have faith in your work. What type of truck are we strapping to.

Response: : F350 1ton. Trying to find hauls near your area and doing maintenance at same time lol. I'll bid on this as soon as I find something k.
8/27/2012
Response: I have not used UShip before, how should I proceed? Should I relist to keep the bid slot open for you?
8/27/2012
Response: : Let it run its course so if someone else can help sooner you'll know. And if it runs out just relist and then send me a bid request. Hopefully I'll be headed out soon.
8/27/2012
Response: Thank you for getting back to me. I will relist on tuesday.
8/27/2012
Response: : K I will bid as soon as I can help.

I should be heading over there in Mid Oct. I have to go to NC to pick up a trailer I am buying. I can do this for your budget as well, so I will watch your shipment.

Response: Thank you for your message. I have the one bid so fare which is high as a jerrafs ass but I have another hauler I am talking to who is putting together a trip east who says he can do it for $600. Can you match that, or do better?
9/1/2012
Response: : From my experience of bidding, for a trip of that distance, $600 would seem to be reasonable. Uship, of course, takes their pound of flesh, and there are some that haul for nothing (the maintenance and depreciation eventually make them go away), but that seems reasonable. I put a 1,000# washing machine up for bids to be hauled from the Atlanta area, and they came in at about $800, so I will pick that up myself when I get my new trailer in NC.

Response: Dave, your resume looks awesome. This is my first experience on Uship, do you have to enter a bid in order for me to lock you in?
9/1/2012
Response: : Yes, that is the way it works. No contact info is exchanged until a bid is accepted. Once accepted, your shipper gets an email and a text with your information, and you get the contact info for your shipper. That way, Uship always gets paid, which is fair for them.
Thank you for researching my profile. I am a full time concrete industry professional, but when we travel, since we are rolling anyway, we Uship to help others, cover costs, and see different areas of the country-it takes us some odd places... I sold our Snow trailer in the profile, and will be picking up a 30 foot, triple axle aluminum frame trailer in N.C. Your Duck boat would travel on top of the camper, upside down, over the A/C unit, padded and strapped down properly. I don't want damage to my rig, and you don't want damage to your goods, so we use lots of padding for good outcomes. Prior to bid, I would need to know the dimension of the inner opening, to assure fit, but it looks plenty wide enough.

Response: Dave, the RO for the boat is aproximately 30"x84". Let me know what yourlans are.
9/2/2012
Response: : My wife has the truck and camper over in Idaho and Montana horseback riding and events (log pull, carting, barrels, etc.). I think they are just under 30 wide, so it should not be a problem getting the boat over it, but I will measure when she gets back in a week or so.
