Additional Information:
I have a 5 year old lab/shepard mix that needs to go from SoCal to Cincinnati or anywhere within 2 hours of Philly. I am flying, but she excedes the airline's weight restrictions. She can be shipped in a dog carrier, or she is very well behaved and can keep you company up front. She has grown up on the road, so she is very good in vehicles.
Dimensions of her carrier are given.
Questions for this shipment:
Question:
Hi. Does your dog still need a ride? I will possibly be in the area on 6/2 or 6/3. I will head home near columbus, ohio from there with mabybe one or two stops. I would need food and medicine if she has any. Please let me know and I will try and help. (5/30/2005)
Response:
She does still need a ride. It would really help me out a lot if you could take her. I have a plane ticket to Philly, but I could cancel it if you would rather I ride with you. Otherwise, I can give you her food. She is very healthy and requires no medicine. (5/30/2005)
Question:
I am travelling now. I don't know that you would get your ticket $ refunded or if you would want to ride that far. I would not care either way. I am looking to see what loads I can get together and will know more tomorrow night. (5/31/2005)
Response:
Ok. Just let me know your plans. I will see what I can do about riding along. What day do you think you will leave San Diego? What day do you think that you would be arriving in Ohio? (5/31/2005)
Question:
I would Leave 6/2 evening or first thing 6/3. I may have a pick up in Santa Cruz and then home. I would think Monday 6/6 in the evening. The trip if via Santa Cruz is 48 hrs driving! Not as fast as the plane. (5/31/2005)
Question:
I don't need to go to Santa Cruz and don't see anything else that way so I would head straight back home which saves about 12hrs driving. I could pick up another dog possibly. How does she get along with others? I will be on line tonight so let me know if you are interested. (6/1/2005)
Response:
I am interested and would possibly still be interested in taging along in order to take some responsibilty off of you. As far as Sadie goes, she is usually fine with other dogs, especially if they are males. Even if she dislikes another dog she just growls and shows her teeth. I have never seen her be agressive. Only defensive. (6/1/2005)
Question:
You riding along would be no problem. I have a 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee. How much luggage do you have? If need be I could seperate the two using the hatch and back seat. (6/1/2005)
Response:
I have a book bag, a laptop and a 16" x 16" x 16" box. If there is more room then I have another bag that I would like to bring, but I can leave it behind if need be. I have an excellent driving record and am more than willing to help out with driving as well. I am trying to find a way to get from Cincinnati to Philly right now, and if I can't find one then I will just fly and leave Sadie with you. (6/1/2005)
Question:
I should have room for it all. The other dog is a female so as long as you feel Sadie would be okay with that. Also, that she is good on a leash. I just realized she is 120#! You might find a one way rental is to Philly is cheaper than your plane ticket. I will take good care of Sadie either way. If you accept, the alternate phone is my cell as I will be traveling tomorrow. I will try and check after lunch or call me if you accept. Time for bed. Thanks, Ray. (6/2/2005)
Response:
She is good on a leash, and she is only 90 lbs. I do accept your bid. I am having troubles with payment via the Uship website, however. I enter my info and it will not advance to the next page. If it does not work then I will just pay to you directly. (6/2/2005)
