Additional Information: Bass Boat (no motor) on a trailer. Boat is partially disassembled, restoration was begun/ contemplated. Needs delivery to new owner's body shop in North Miami. I can also meet anywhere in south florida near 33161/ destination. Seller (former owner) also willing to deliver to a depot near 38652 New Albany, Miss.. I already own boat, it's paid for.
I have no real idea of the soundness of the trailer. It is probably good for short distance. Bearings and or tires may be old. Former owner said he towed it 500 miles recently.

Peter, where did you find this boat??Allison is all i have ever owned.i own a 21.5ft xtb, with a 280 merc.14inch jackplate!!i have been gps at 103mph!!i am looking for another one for a project.i can pickup/deliver your boat for 1100.00.please review my profile/feedback/PICTS!!!and let m,e know your thoughts as soon as possible.thank you,TimNot in Violation
Response: Yes, Allisons are the preferred trailer boat for those in the know. I believe Darius Allsion built your boat. I raced Allisons in the early 70's. I still have one of Paul Allisons racers and a GT20 that was built in the late 70s. I think this may also be one of Paul Allisons later creations, before his son took over. This thing is rough!!! I got it off Ebay a few days ago. I was advised by a fellow restorer to let it sit on this site for a few weeks and see if anyone was traveling empty or with room to spare. I will keep your info and contact you if I don't pick it up myself. That 280 of yours is one of the best motors Merc ever built. It only went out of production due to Antipollution pressure from the govt. It is actually still sold overseas! Dubai etc. I run a 2.5 Merc champ motor, that I changed to RH rotation and added a Sportmaster that I run on my Hydrostream. Similar speeds to yours. These boats keep the shop busy fixing, I usually make a weekend run for pick-up1/24/2014Report a Violation

Hi Peter. I'm delivering in north Alabama at noon. I could pick this up this afternoon and bring it strait to you for $800. Thanks.Report a Violation
Response: Hi Sorry to just find the message. Just got home from work/ Still possible or too late? Pete I tried calling the former owner at his house (boat location). He works nights, so he usually calls me back in the afternoon, when he wakes up. This delivery can also be set up for another time, if I miss your moment in that area. I have a few weeks allowance of time to get the boat out of there. I read your page, I take it that you are based in Georgia?1/25/2014Report a Violation
Response: Hi Pete, Yes on base location can do this at your time frame. I need to be in Florida first week in February if this helps. Thanks! 1/25/2014Report a Violation
Response: Yes I'm from GA. I'm still in AL unloaded. I wish you could talk to people on here. I could pick it up if you want. Thanks1/25/2014Report a Violation
Hi Peter. I will be going past your boat tomorrow. I could bring it to you for $800 ($672 to me for 928mi), but you have it set to only take a $500 bid. Thanks. Not in Violation
Response: Yes thank you…You may have to show me what to do when I decide exactly how to meet you, where and what option to choose. Thanks for the options too. My good friend lives in St. Augustine. Ft. Pierce was a good idea too! My friend uses this site a lot, and suggested that I put a number out there and respond to bids. I bought the boat for 400, and buy a few of those kind of well known models, that need restoration. This boat is very light, hopefully your truck won't know that it is back there! Tell me, Isn't the weather a bit harsh to be towing in? I just saw a lot of crazy traffic jams in Atlanta. maybe the south isn't all that bad. The News that I saw made it look scary. I have another small boat that I bought in New Jersey too. I will keep in touch. Is the weather improving? Pete1/29/2014Report a Violation
If you wanted to meet me in Ft Pierce (134mi), I would bring it for $700. Thanks.Report a Violation
Response: Are you available to pick up the Allison on Saturday 2/01 ? Do you still want to bring it to Miami For $800.? You don't have to bring it here immediately, unless you want to. You had said that you were putting something together in Florida first week, so maybe you want to do them together. If you want to talk to me, I sent you my number sunday, all the numbers were misspelled on purpose. You can call me up to 11 pm or after 7 am. If you want to do it, I will change the auction to $800. I keep getting other messages/questions with options, so that is why I haven't changed it yet. I am located within a mile of the Golden Glades interchange in Miami. Convenient to I95 and also FL turnpike. I exchanged emails with Glynn (the former owner in New Albany), he gets home after day shift at Toyota plant around 6 pm friday. He mentioned Saturday, but we could possibly arrange for late friday afternoon if that was necessary. Saturday would be good if you can manage it.1/30/2014Report a Violation

Do you still need the boat shipped?I live near the boat and have over 200 loads and 100 percent positive feedback on uship.Let me know asap.Thanks.Report a Violation
Response: Hi, I bought the old Allison Bass boat for a few hundred. Originally planned to drive up and get it, then my friend recommended this site. We had thought that someone might be already traveling to Miami empty, and could use the load. This boat is completely stripped / no motor or seats or rigging. Its trailer may weight more than the boat. So it is light.1/30/2014Report a Violation
Response: Do you happen to know the exact width of outside tire to outside tire.I have the low type car hauler and i just want to make sure it would fit to roll it onto my trailer.Thanks1/30/2014Report a Violation
Response: I will try to contact my seller (former owner). And ask him to measure. Usually those trailers are 96 inches outside tire to outside tire. I just went outside and measured my other Allison 20 footer from that era. It was 96 inches. I think the fenders are either missing or falling off. I have new fiberglass ones, so they are not needed. You could also temporarily remove the wheels if it would help. If you have a dolly perhaps. The boat should be light. I just studied the picture from this 17 footer. It is obvious that it is the same as the trailer here. 96 inches. If you can find a way to load it, I can lift it off here with my forklift and/ or an A-frame two hoist lift. So I can lift the boat straight up and you can pull away.1/30/2014Report a Violation
