Additional Information: UPDATED: Will be moving the airplane with no wings. The airplane weighs about 1,100lbs with no wings and is 19' long and about 6' wide. I will also be moving other items + the wings which will weigh about 600lbs. Grand total weight of things to be moved is about 1700lbs. The miscellaneous items and the wings can be fit in any size crate (or crates) the shipper needs. I can build those (or 1 large crate) to the shippers specifications. If I use 1 big crate the dimensions will be about (outside of crate dimensions) 13'x6'x5'. Again, the one big crate will weigh about 600lbs.

Questions for this shipment:

Question: The Width of the aircraft is 12ft. w/the wings taken off, is this correct? if it is over 102 inches wide, then "Over width" permits will be needed for each state traveled to Arlington, adding cost to your move. Bill (7/14/2009)

Response: Good point. I would remove enough of the wings (making an additional crate) where the width of the airplane would be about 6 feet. (7/14/2009)

Question: Trying to get an accurate picture for loading. 18' of plane what would the length of the crate be for the wings? and can you consolidate the additional 500 lbs of misc. into one crate? We have a 40' gooseneck with 37' of deck. we are currently transporting a 33' glider. If you think you can get it consolidated enough to fit the length we have we would be glad to place a bid. please see our feedback and profile. (7/15/2009)

Response: I can break the wings up into 4'x2' sections. I can make one very large crate to fit all the miscellaneous items plus the wings of the airplane. I estimate that crate would wiegh 500lbs and be about a 12'x10'x6' crate (I can build the crate in any rectangular shape so there wont be any wide load issues). Maybe if you can tell me the max width and length availabe to me on your trailer I can figure if my load will fit on your trailer. With no wings, the airplane would then wiegh about 500 lbs and be 18' long and about 6' wide. (7/15/2009)

Question: Held off bid. I noticed your pickup dates we can get it arround the 24th of this month but not sure if we would be back over by the 8th or 9th of Aug. We run back and forth regularly. (7/15/2009)

Response: I will not have everything crated up by July 24th but I might could wait until the next time your in that area as long as you pick it up in August. If you want to bid on it with your pickup date in August, that will be fine. But, I'll have to check to see if I can keep the airplane/crate at that location after August 8th. Response: I'll leave that to the shipper. The airplane can be rolled up into or onto a trailer with about 3-4 people. If the shipper wants me to build 1 large crate for the other items, I'l leave loading that 600lb crate to the shipper. If the shipper allows me to make 3-4 smaller crates, 2 people could load them into or onto the trailer. (7/16/2009)
