Additional Information: I am getting mixed reviews on what applies to this AGRICULTURAL EQUIPMENT. It is over dimension, will require permits, BUT if you travel during daylight hours, I have some shippers telling us it will NOT need Pilot Cars - this obviously makes a big difference in the prices being quoted. We have had these hauled up here before without Pilot Cars, so somehow it was done. Please investigate and quote accordingly.This is a brand new 2009 AgChem Rogator 1286C self propelled sprayer that we need transferred from Warren CAT in Amarillo Texas to our dealership in Alberta. We are an agricultural dealership with an unloading dock for lowbed, mid, and hiboy trailers. The unit will also have a set of 4 extra rims and tires coming with it. The track width is 10'10" and the outer most (widest point) are the booms at about cab level, which measure 14'4" across.

Questions for this shipment:

Question: CAN THIS ITEM BE DRIVEN? IF SO, HOW FAST WOULD IT TRAVEL? I HAVE SOME EXPERIENCE WITH TERRA GATORS. DOES IT HAVE A TOW HITCH IN REAR? THANKS, RODNEY (7/8/2009)

Response: It can be driven, it travels max 35mph, and there is no tow hitch on the back. What did you have in mind? (7/9/2009)

Response: HAVE YOU CONSIDERED DRIVING IT TO CANADA? MY SON-IN-LAW HAS AN AGCAT 1264C, THREE TERRA GATORS, AND A SPINNER TRUCK. THEY DRIVE THEM ALL OVER. IT WOULD TAKE 5 OR 6 DAYS AND WITH A TOW BEHIND FOR THE RETURN TRIP YOU COULD AVOID A LOT OF HASSEL. I WOULD HAVE TO RESEARCH EACH STATE TO SEE IF IT WOULD BE ALLOWED TO DRIVE ON INTERSTATES(WHICH PROBABLY NOT). IF NOT THERE ARE PLENTY OF SECONDARY HIGHWAYS. I DO NOT KNOW ABOUT DRIVING IN CANADA. Response: Please confirm that the comments section has the most updated information as far as dimensions on this unit. The "widest" point being the booms at 14'4"? If correct and non-reducable, there will be no way to avoid pilot cars accompanying the transport of this unit along entire route. Cost will be significantly higher than your target price. Thank you. Response: yes, just over 14' at the widest point, whch is about 8' off the ground when sitting on flat ground, it is the front section of the folded back booms. Please quote knowing this. (7/12/2009)

Question: Good Morning: I do have a trailer this baby beastie would fit on, have PARS to deliver into Canada. My concern is once this beastie is loaded on the trailer I will need overheight permits. Response: Pickup is Amarillo now, the machine ended up being at another Warren CAT branch, and I deleted the boom info so guys didn't think the machine was 120' long! Also updated the transport width, as with the skinnies on it, the track width is 120", trying to get the costs down with the description as accurate as possible. (7/10/2009)
