Response: Hi - I think the bass would fit in the back of a Ranger. It's 6' long, but you can lay it in at an angle. Even if it didn't fit completely, if you could cover it in plastic sheeting where it's exposed, that would be OK. It's already broken (this is a restoration project for me), so it's coming in pieces anyway and as long as it didn't get soaked it should be fine--temperature's not really an issue. Lay it on a blanket or something and wrap it once. I'm in Queens Lake, upper York Co., about 3 mi. from Colonial Williamsburg. I-64 runs through the neighborhood, so yes I could meet you at an exit. The Camp Peary/Williamsburg exit has an easy off/on with a parking area right there. What is your schedule and what would you charge me to transport the bass? Are you traveling ~to~ MI and then back to VB? Thanks. (1/19/2008)
