My sister died and I've been clearing out her place. I just want her table and now it seems a floor lamp mae od cast iron as well would be great. Whats your story, is it a full truck and I;m "hitching a ride"? (10/25/2009)
Response: Hi Thank you for getting back with me. I do a trip once a month. I am simply trying to fill up the truck with mostly special care items. My next departure date is 11/9-10. Response: I am completely flexible with my dates for delivery. And as far as pick up goes, I just need 24-48 hours notice for my friend to be able to meet you at the place and give you access to the goods.
Tell me how you would charge. I originally thought I would have to send it UPS or something, so I didn;t add extra items to the list.
There's a floor lamp (or two), the table and maybe two night stands, a vanity with a mirror attached.
Do you calculate by weight or cubic footage?

Response: Each item I mentioned can be lifted by a single person. All items are on the ground floor, just a few steps up from the house to the street.
That cost is way out of my budget. The items aren't worth the cost of the bid. Let me know if you just move the table. (10/25/2009)

Response: I asked my friends repeatedly if they would pull it together for this Saturday. No one is available.
I have one more person to ask. Is this too last minute for you? When would you pick up tomorrow if you could- time frame?
I'm new to this uship thing, it took me 5 clicks to figure out that I had to relist my items to be able to write you back, at least I think thats what I did!
Also, do you make these trips often? Because I could book it with you on the next round, if that will be easier.
Please let me know. I want to ship a floor lamp with the table.

Response: i wasn't jerking you around. I have been diligently trying to get in someone on the New York side to commit and get it together by Friday- the date we discussed- and because its not their top priority, it is slow moving and not easy to accomplish.
I thought I;d get details and info today, and I just got an email that they forgot their keys so they couldn't take measurements or get info.
I don;t want to hold you back or get you off your schedule. but I can;t get them to comply on the other side, so I am just trying to wait it out. Sorry if I seemed flaky- it was unintentional.
