Question: Hi Jim, thanks for getting back. Length has become a bit of a problem - my enclosed trailer is 20.5 feet inside length. I can rent a longer enclosed trailer, however, this would add substantially to the cost. If you are willing to consider open transport, I have an open trailer that ought to do the trick. I see no problem if the plane can be wrapped with plastic or tarped to keep the water out of the interior of the plane.I will remeasure a 150 to see how long it is with tail off also,I got the measurements out of the owners manual with tail on.It will be shorter with tail off.Can you give me a idea what the move will cost on a open trailer? Question: Hi Jim, we can shrink wrap the plane if open transport ends up being the best option. Bid for open transport would be $3300, bid for enclosed (rental trailer)would be $3300 plus trailer rental costs. Last fall, this was $108/day. Given the distance, I would figure on a 7 day rental. Delivery would be within 3 days of pickup. There are several other drivers who have somewhat larger enclosed trailers and might be able to help out. Question: Hi Jim, I understand. One of the other drivers I listed may be able to help out closer to your budget. "renegade" has been putting out some very low bids and may be able to accomodate. Question: it would be hauled on a 40 flatbed gooseneck trailer pulled by a 1 ton dually. both are newer. if you accept my bid you can call me and we can work out the details. We pull vehicles for a living. this is not something new to us. (1/20/2006)
