Question: Hello Shipper, are all 4 skids 1,800 lbs total or 7,200 lbs total? Would like to place a bid, thank you (5/6/2008)

Response: Hello,
We will have 4-5 standard 40 X 48 pallets each weighing 450 each, for a total weight of 1800-2250 pounds. (5/6/2008)

Response: Do you know about how high each pallet is? When placing a bid then do you want a bid for the high side of your weight? Pricing is based on weight of a shipment so there will be a difference in price between 1,800 lbs and 2,250 lbs?? (5/6/2008)

Response: The height of the pallets will not exceed 48". And the weight should be a lot lower than 1800 pounds. I figure the weight to be 1200-1300 pounds. The shipment consists of 200 20" bicycle wheels and tires, and 200 regular bicycle chains, plus the weight of the pallets, and the cardboard they will be packaged in. I'm trying to contact the distributer for specifics, but he's in and out. (5/6/2008)

Response: Alright, I have placed my bid based on 1,500 lbs under Distribution. If for some reason the weight goes down a little so will my price to you, in turn, if the weight goes up the rate will increase slightly as well. Thanks (5/6/2008)

Response: Hello,
Just talked to the guy, and the shipment is as follows:
4 pallets.
Product on the pallets is boxed.
each pallet weighs 250 pounds each including pallet and packaging.
Total weight for this entire shipment is 1000 pounds including pallets.

Response: Sounds good, this product will dim out then giving it a true class of 175 so even though the weight went down my price will be the same $495. We can pick this up as soon as it's ready. Thanks (5/6/2008)

Question: Be wary of low bids, they are going to try and run it at a different class with the carrier to get a better rate, that means if you have a claim you will not be able to declare proper value if something happens.
See Note: Item 197590
Wheels, spoked, with or without tires, other than automobile, motorcycle, motorcycle sidecar or agricultural implement wheels, in boxes or crates, subject to Item 170 and having a density in pounds per cubic foot of:
Sub-01 Class-200
Less than 8
Sub-02 Class-85
8 or greater
Your current pounds per cubic foot is way less than 8!! Just a heads up because I see people getting taken advantage of on these sites. Good luck to you (5/6/2008)
