Question:
11/9/2011
Don here from Bicentennial Transport in New Hampshire. We own and operate our truck, and we specialize in shipping antique cars, not brokering loads. We often ship truck beds, cabs, and other items - loaded into our truck by me or my dad, and delivered by the same. If this still needs to be hauled, let me know, and we can start a discussion. Thanks. Don - 76TransportReport a Violation
Response: yes this truck bed still needs hauled, just need to get some prices . thank you for time and interest11/9/2011Report a Violation
Response: : Hello: Not sure if there is flexibility on either side to meet us somewhere convenient. On the shippers side, could they meet us closer to LA? On your side, any chance of meeting up on I-80? If we have to door to door, its probably going to be more expensive than you want to pay, but I could quote it that way too I guess. Let me know what you think. Thanks. Don - 76Transport11/9/2011Report a Violation
Response: not sure on pick-up side would have to check.where about would work for you ? as far as drop-side no problem meeting you I-80.11/9/2011Report a Violation
Response: : My suggestion on the California side would be possibly on the 210 or the 101. Let the seller know that we are going to be coming into San Diego and then onto Long Beach area, eventually up 101 to Santa Barbara, then up the coast to northern California and Oregon, etc. - but we are flexible if he knows of a truckstop, Walmart, rest area, etc. It would just make it much more economical if he could come to somewhere we are going to be already, verses sending the tractor trailer out to him. Hopefully he might be able to accomodate that. Thanks for trying to work with us to make this happen. Don - 76Transport11/9/2011Report a Violation
Response: i can get pick-up to 210 or 101,shot me a rough figure and aprox. dates.thank you for your time and working with me on this.11/10/2011Report a Violation
Response: : Thanks for your flexibility. I'm thinking $700. My dad has a side business selling 68-72 GM truck parts, and on almost every trip we bring home a cab or bed that he sells back in New England. I know in our experience, we sometimes only pay a few hundred bucks for a west coast cab or bed, but we figure in the $700 as the "shipping cost" even for our own stuff. Anyway, if you think we can work together on this let me know. Regarding timing. It could be as early as this Sunday, or more likely Monday, to be in the LA area of California. It would then be about 6-10 days to get home - hopefully without snow storms! Let me know. Don Jr. - Bicentennial Tranpsort, LLC11/10/2011Report a Violation
Question:
11/11/2011
Don from Bicentennial Transport here: Just checking in to see when you think you might be making a decision. If you'd like to go with us, let me know, so I can officially place a bid for your review, and hopefully your acceptance. Please let me know as soon as possible as I'm trying to get the final touches wrapped up on the return load. Thanks again. Don - 76TransportReport a Violation
Response: was hoping for more around $450-$500 considering i have to have seller meet you along interstate and meet you this side??sorry not trying to lowball you too bad.thanks11/11/2011Report a Violation
Response: : I hear you - you gotta get it as cheaply as possible and I have to try to make a profit. Is there any room in between - maybe $600. I do appreciate the willingness to meet us - that will be a huge help. Let me know - I can place a bid tonight if we can get to an agreement. Thanks. Don Jr. - 76Transport11/11/2011Report a Violation
Question:
11/12/2011
Don here at Bicentennial: I still have a space available. If we can reach an agreement I may be ready to pick it up as early as Monday first thing, so I'd like to try to figure out a way to make this happen today so you can get in touch with the shipper if necessary. I previously offered $600 through the question section. Try to respond today, and if you agree, I'll bid so you can accept and then we can exchange information etc. Thanks.
