Question: i will be in your area 14th will be in delivery area around 20th. whats your target price. need to know soon i am leaving to south bend on 13th or 14th (9/6/2009)

Response: Hi, thanks for your question! We don't have a specific target price, because we have never shipped items like this before, and that's why we're just requesting bids. So far, lower bids are around $800.
We plan on having these boxes on four pallets, but since this is going from one house to another -- do you have a way (pallet jack/lift gate) to get the pallets on to and off of your vehicle? Otherwise, I guess the boxes could be transported loose, but this seems more complicated since there are so many small boxes.
Thanks.

Response: i would like to do for $800. i have a p/u in south bend on the 14th. it's a furniture move but it would be easier to get your delivery in first because his will come off first in myrtle beach. i have a 15 foot box truck no lift gate. 6 skids will fit in truck but a pallet jack couldnt turn around. let me know your thoughts and if this sounds good i'll bid. (9/7/2009)

Response: You'll have to let us know whether you can transport them or not. If there's not a lift-gate, it's not possible to get pallets in the truck, is that right? (I don't know anything about these things.) In that case, I guess they'd have to go loose and loading/unloading would take longer, but that would be all right as long as the boxes would be safe loose in the truck (they're small), AND as long as you can unload them at the drop-off by yourself. (My mom can help load them at pick-up but I doubt someone can help unload at the drop-off). If you can make it work then you should bid and we'll consider your bid along with the others. Thanks -- Hannah (9/7/2009)

Response: no way of getting pallet on ttruck unless you have a dock. loose is fine. i can deliver them loose no problem. just let me know if this works for you (9/7/2009)

Response: Yes, I don't think loose would be a problem!

Response: do you want to set this up for the 13th or 14th (9/7/2009)

Response: I would have to confirm this with my mother, who will be at the pick-up point. I'm pretty confident that the 13th would be better, because then she wouldn't have to take time off from work. (9/7/2009)

Response: let me know if you found anything out yet. thanks kevin (9/8/2009)

Question: oh is anything breakable in these boxes (9/7/2009)

Response: Eighty-seven boxes contain CDs, the collection of the recipient at the drop-off point. The three larger boxes are speakers. So, not "fragile" in terms of glass or anything, but they would still need to be handled with care, not tossed or crushed, etc. -- you know how those CD cases are. The boxes are packed tightly. (9/7/2009)

Response: thats fine let me know. i am planning on stacking and strapping a big piece of wood over the boxes so they wont fall. keep it seperated from my other shipment. (9/7/2009)

Response: That sounds like a good plan. Thanks. (9/7/2009)

Response: let me know when you can becuase i have had people plan shipments then cancelled at last minute so i have started going to first come first serve to fill loads (9/7/2009)

Response: Understood. I'm communicating with my mom now, but she's at work. We can't commit to anything, of course, without a bid! With a bid, we'll try to get a decision out as soon as possible. I'm leaving the house, will be back later.
Thanks,
Hannah (9/7/2009)

Response: the bid is in thanks kevin (9/7/2009)
