Question:
6/20/2014
How will they be unloaded? Thanks, BobReport a Violation
Response: Back hoe at a construction site- lift one end drive out from under it then lift off the other end and set on the ground. The container would be lifted by chain at one end then the trailer pulls out from under it, the container you skid across trailer deck. lumber would be placed under the skidded portion of container to reduce marring of deck top of trailer. Once the end of the container is able to ground set backhoe would be repositioned to lift the other end off the trailer and set on the ground6/20/2014Report a Violation
Response: I Couldn't pickup the 1st one until the 1st and the 2nd one until the 3rd. Delivery of the 2nd one would be 7/7/14. Too late? Thanks, Bob6/21/2014Report a Violation
Response: It could work, whats your best price for delivering both the units to the same location. It's an easy find off I-43 in Manitowoc. I've got to wrap this transport decision up a/s/a/p. Thanks6/21/2014Report a Violation
Response: If I have to go back down empty in a hurry it will be more. I would need a little time to book something down to Chicago for the 2nd one. I'll bid accordingly. The yard they pickup at is probably right off I55, Cicero ave? Thanks, Bob 6/21/2014Report a Violation
Response: Didn't realize that a 163 mile trip one way would run this much. If we are able to get both units shipped to Manitowoc based upon your ability to get a back haul load, could we make this happen for less money. Thanks6/21/2014Report a Violation
Response: Inflation, tolls, Illinoi's ridiculously high fuel tax not to mention my fine state of Wis. Thanks, Bob6/21/2014Report a Violation
Question:
6/23/2014
In a while my bid will drop to approximately 1316.00. That's assuming I will reload down to get the second one. Thanks, BobReport a Violation
Response: Bob, Thanks for the update on your bid, if you "reload down to get the second one" what does that mean to me. Your references are great, I'd like to give you the work. The rates I'm getting on U-ship are all over the board most a little lower than your current bid. I should see pictures of the two containers today and place my order for both the containers and trucking contract. Is this your best and final price I should use to evaluate your proposal? Thanks 6/23/2014Report a Violation
Response: The dates are on the bid. Just the price has changed. That's as low as I can go and still make out ok. Thanks, Bob6/23/2014Report a Violation
