Questions for this shipment:

Question: Can you provide the year, make and model. Thanks. (12/28/2007)
Response: 1983 26' SeaRay Sundancer with canopy/bimini top. (12/28/2007)
Question: Shipper is the boat 10 wide. And how soon do you need this moved? Thanks Dave (12/28/2007)
Response: Hi Dave, It is only 8' wide (SeaRay webside says 96"). I will update the posting. I'm looking to move this sometime after 1/7/2008. (12/28/2007)
Response: Shipper ,What is your plan as for loading and unloading? I am a legal transporter with Dot and MC numbers and provide proper Cargo Insurance. My price is higher than your target but that includes all charges none added on later.Pictures of my truck and trailer and copy of my Insurance are on the feedback page.I am not a broker I transport myself. You can verify my Insurance by calling if bid is excepted.Your target date to move boat is fine or if you need sooner. Thanks Dave (12/28/2007)
Response: Hi, the seller of the boat will help with loading. The boat is currently in the water. Upon delivery it will have to go into the water to then be trailered. I'm not likely to have this moved until the week of January 8th. With Regards, Brian (12/28/2007)
Response: Brian, Just wanted you to know that I could p/u this for you on the 8th of Jan no problem and del on the 10th in the morning. Thanks Dave (12/28/2007)
Question: Shipper is this boat an 83 or 86 , also do you have a way to load and off load? thanks ddonaldson Marine Transport (12/28/2007)
Response: Hi, it's actually an 83. It was originally mislisted by a friend who started this process for me. The boat seller can assist in loading (it is currently in the water). Upon delivery, it would need to be off loaded into water at ramp so I can trailer it. (12/28/2007)
Response: Shipper just one more question my book tells me this boat has a 10' beam, is this correct? thanks ddonaldson Marine Transport (12/28/2007)
Response: Beam = 96" Transom = 93" (12/28/2007)
Response: Thanks for you response. ddonaldson Marine Transport (12/28/2007)
Response: You're welcome. (12/29/2007)
Question: 1250.00 cash upon delivery can pick up right at a boat ramp and can launch it no problem p/u around the 8th or so. Can drop in florida anytime after that will be staying in florida for 2wks so it can sit on the trlr till you figure out where its going. If your interested i will bid if not good luck with your shipment. Thank You Tom (12/29/2007)
Response: Tom, Definitely an attractive offer. Does that include any type of insurance? I have not as yet purchased the boat - I'm flying up next Saturday to look @ it and confirm I'm going to take it. If accept your offer but then for some reason the boat isn't as advertised and I have to cancel, how does that work? With Regards, Brian (12/29/2007)
Response: I will bid after you see the boat bidding on others as well. Look at my feedback i moved a 30ft cris craft right from stafford to punta gorda picked it up at the ramp you would probably need to use. I would need to know as soon as you know then i would bid. Ins. included but most people insure there own boats. So good luck with your purchase and keep in touch. As soon as you excepted my bid you would get my phone # I dont want cancelitions on my feedback if i can help it they changed the rules to many and you get kicked off this site. Thank You Tom (12/29/2007)
Response: Hi Tom, The actual measurements of the boat are: Gunwale Length: 27'6" Centerline: 26'3" Beam: 96" Transom @ Gunwale: 93" Transom @ Chine: 85" (according to Sea Ray's web site) 5300# With Regards, Brian (12/30/2007)
Response: Hi Brian, I am out hauling and checking my messages when I can. Yes the other bidders do see all the bids and questions. However, I have not placed a bid as of yet. Thanks again! Tom. (1/2/2008)
Question: Brian. One more thing if that boats 10ft wide then its plus permits i think them sea-rays are 10ft but you say its 8'6" so we will go from there. Thanks (12/29/2007)
Response: Tom, You mean uShip 'tags' your profile if I cancel through no fault of yours and that counts against you? Wow, that doesn't seem fair. If that's the case, I'm not going to accept any bids until I confirm I'm taking this boat - I don't want 'negative' marks appearing if I'm the one doing the canceling. Also, if the boat is picked up somewhere the week of Jan 8th, I'm in SFO until Friday, the 11th. Can we work out me getting it on Saturday the 12th? (I'm looking to see if I can change my flight to get in on Friday, but even so, it wouldn't be until late because of time shift from Cali to FL). With Regards, Brian (12/30/2007)
Response: You wouldnot need to be there the last guy left the boat right at the ramp and i took it from there loaded it headed to florida. I dont know if it counts as negative feedback but it goes in your profile look at mine. Ok when you get there just please measure the width a tape measure that tells the truth and thats what DOT will use. Thank You Tom (12/30/2007)
Response: Hi Tom, I'll take the tape measure with me - although the last two Sea Rays (23') I had, the measurements matched Sea Ray's web site exactly. There will be someone in VA to help get it out of the water and onto your trailer. It's the receiving end in Tampa that concerns me because I would need to be there. Just not sure if I can make it on 1/11. Want to put her in the water on 1/12 (prep for Gasparilla). Thank you for being so helpful. Always, Brian (12/30/2007)
Response: Well down ther is no problem i would be staying there for 10days so it could sit on the trlr till you get there. You could clean it do wax it etc. thats what the guy with the cris craft did then i launched him. So basicilly anytime down there would work for me like i say you would have 10days to figure it out. Thanks and good luck with your purchase. And I hear you about web site measurements but i want to be sure. Look at the cris craft feed back that guy waxed it washed it etc then away he went. Take care Tom (12/30/2007)
Response: Tom, Since you're from Tampa and in the buz, do you have any recommendations for inexpensive boat storage preferrably on the east side of Tampa which are close to a boat ramp? I'm only familiar with Davis Island but I'm sure there are others on the east side of the bay. Living in Orlando, that side is easier for me and I plan on using the boat primarily in Tampa Bay. With Regards, Brian (12/30/2007)
Response: Not from Tampa. I wish i am from Buffalo NY. Dont know any facilities just passing threw going on vacation and picking up a boat in naples and a jet ski. You should be able to find marinas on the internet or phone book then net. I sure we can find a ramp so i am not worried about that. Thank You (12/30/2007)
Response: Hi Tom, Does uShip work like eBay where at the end other bidders can see whom I ultimately choose to provide the service? With Regards, Brian (1/2/2008)
Response: Hello Brian yes i would see who won the bid? Let me know if you buy the boat. Make sur your other transporters know there picking up at a boat ramp and droping at a ramp otherwise you will have loading and unloading fees. Thank You and good luck Tom (1/5/2008)
Response: Tom, Please review all the bids currently pending - several are offering very similiar shipping to yours. Is there any room to reconsider your bid amount? (1/5/2008)
Response: I see 2 bids lower than mine and like i said in my earlier question make sure there including loading and unloading. I might move 50.00 or 75.00 but i am bidding on others as well so good luck in whatever you choose. Most guys dont like loading and unloading in saltwater.Let me know if interested i would bid and you would get it next weekendwith 7 days to figure out what you are doing it could sit on the trlr. Thank You (1/5/2008)
Question: Brian still very interested in moving your boat. Please read my feedback all work is done by me I do not broker your load out to someone else. Thanks Dave (12/30/2007)
Question: Brian, This is Tom all of the other questions you are asking the other guy.....I can handle the boat, the issues at hand and the dates no problem. Thanks, Tom (1/6/2008)
Question: Ok Brian one last offer otherwise I am picking up a different one in Virginia just need a answer. My bid would be 1200.00 Can pick up Thursday a 2 day drive there and then you got 7-10 days to figure out your schedule it can sit on my trlr. They load it float you off whenever you are ready. Ok Thank You (1/7/2008)
Response: Hi Tom, I can see why you have 100% positive feedback. I appreciate the open lines of communication you have made with me. I know if you haul my scow, she'd be in good hands. Please enter a bid. If you could go $1,100 I would appreciate it -- money is very tight right now - I have $4,000 wrapped up in a boat that doesn't run plus what I've got in this new one. If $1,200 is the absolute best bottom line, I understand. I look forward to seeing your bid. With Warmest Regards, Brian (1/7/2008)
Response: Ok when is the boat paid for in FULL? You sure they can load me this week? Look at my other listing for the boat i hauled to florida chris craft i fixed his boat up a little while i was there. Laid off boat mechanic up here in NY for the winter? I have another one in Virginia so you answer these questions honestly and make sure that marina can load and when are there hours I understand your situation but you get what you pay for and man fuel is killing me. So i will split the difference and i have to pay to use this site. Tom (1/7/2008)
Response: Tom, I have to turn in for the night - I have another long work day tomorrow. I will sign in the morning and hope to see you've placed a bid. With Regards, Brian (1/7/2008)
Response: Ok Brian did the boat measure 8'6"? Its a inboard outboard right? The drive up? I had to sign in myself just got back from NH delivering one. There loading me with a forklift or a travel hoist? Ok i will check in in the morning. No real schedule here so i can deal with most any time frame. My bid would be 1150.00 cash upon arrival I could stop in Orlando if you wanted. You cant leave addresses till a bid is accepted you are going to get flagged? I got a 9hr drive to there. So thursday friday ok by me. Thanks Tom (1/7/2008)
Response: Hi Tom, It's in I/O. Outdrive is up. The overall dimensions are: 26'3" center line; 27'6" gunwale line; it's beam is 96"; Transom @ gunwale 93"; Transom @ chine 85". I'm pretty sure they will use a forklift to load it since it's on blocks in the yard. I appreciate the offer but no real need to stop in Orlando. At some point after your arrive in Tampa, I'm going to have a mechanic come look at it and run a compression test on it if that's okay. They will come to where ever you have it. I'm good with the $1150 bid. I look forward to seeing your bid. With Regards, Brian (1/8/2008)
Response: Ok but did you not read my earlier question Laid off boat mechanic for the winter. I can compression check it no problem can do it at p/u point if you want. I have a problem myself my girlfriend has company cars and one of them does not have low beam headlights so i have to fix that before i can leave its the wiring harness. The car is 120 miles from me. So its going to delay pickup. would Saturday or Monday work for you or them. Did your Check clear I can load the boat myself if that helps and the marina dont mind. My girlfriend tells me this last night I understand your situation but i dont want to bid and then have to cancel I would be glad to help as you can see i am responding Friday might be doable but i will keep you posted. Thanks Tom (1/8/2008)
Response: Tom, The seller can load Friday. Saturdays and Sundays are difficult but may be possible. I'd have to confirm. They do boat shows on the weekends. I think we stand a better chance of getting them for a Saturday morning if Thursday or Friday isn't possible. With Regards, Brian (1/8/2008)
Response: Your goal is for next weekend right? Them are good rates and i was going to say 30.00 to compression check it and i would do impeller for 50.00 but i dont need to do it so you have your mechanic do it then you will feel comfortable in knowing and working with them. Now you know my situation you want me to bid and we can talk on the phone after you accept if it wasnt for the car i would be on schedule. So if you have to go with another transporter i can do the other one But i would be glad to help you the other one pays better but i have to get oversize permits much more involved. Let me know cause then i have to go fix the car wont be on the net till tonight then. Thanks Tom (1/8/2008)
Response: Man I dont think we can do it by this weekend even if i pickup friday its a day and half drive towing. I have to fix the car. So the employee isnt driving around with hi beams on all the time. Then the guy has to put the impeller in etc. do survey his prices are good just let him do it then you will feel comfortable with him and working with them in the future. Do you want me to bid then we talk on the phone? Its looking liking Monday for me but maybe Friday or Saturday i will let you know how the car thing goes i wont be on the net till tonight again. And it might be late cause have to drive 120 mi. one way fix the harness then come home they want 400.00 plus to fix it i already fixed the hi beams for nothing just a broken wire. Ok i sent you another message but i dont think it went through. I was swearing at the car! Thanks Tom (1/8/2008)
Response: I sent you questions but there not going through uship says i said something bad they review then send them to you. There is nothing bad. I dont think this weekend is doable with mechanicale work and survey and its a 1.5 drive towing so if i picked it up friday or sat where still looking at mon. (1/8/2008)
Response: Hi Tom, Can you do the survey/mechanical work once you get the boat to Florida or do you have equipment up there that is necessary for the work? If it's not something you can do once in Florida, let's focus on transportation. Wonder what's catching the uSHIP censorship filters on your questions. Thanx, Brian (1/8/2008)
Response: I think i was swearing at the car Anyways your mechinic has fair prices and you need to work with them in the future possibly i can do it cheaper but you should stay with them and i wont step on nobodys toes then.It looks like sat. or mon. for me if I and you accept the bid we talk on the phone. just bare with me if the car was not a issue everything would be on track. Its a day and half drive there after pickup then wherever your mechinic is i can leave the boat with him on my trlr he can fix it then we will go from there. I have to go fix the car 120mi. away so i have to get going. If i can do it sooner i will believe me i am ready for florida and if you accept my bid i would get marina phone number and i would take care of p/u arrangements and like i said i can load the boat myself right off them blocks if they dont mind. Tom (1/8/2008)
Response: PS> I have no established relationship with this mechanic. I found him on Craigslist. My regular mechanic is backed up and this guy will come to the boat. If you can do the work once you get her to FL, that's fine too. We can discuss by phone or regular email after the bid is accepted. (1/8/2008)
Question: Bryan could do a little better on my bid if interested, for a p/u on the 22nd.Could do for $1175.00 all charges none added on later. Thanks Dave Double D Hauling (1/7/2008)
Response: Hi Dave, Thanx for taking time to work with me on this. Regrettably, the 22nd is too late for me. I need the boat in the water, tested, shook down by then. With Regards, Brian (1/7/2008)
Response: bryan how fast do you need this done.Dave (1/7/2008)
Response: Dave, One other item that may affect your bid - I have an offer of $1,100 which includes 10 days of storage with access upon arrival while I get things situated. Brian (1/7/2008)
Response: Bryan can the boat be ready by the 8th or 9th and del on the 10th.Dave (1/7/2008)
Question: What do you think is fair for 1000 plus miles, fuel at an all time high tolls etc? (1/7/2008)
Response: Hi, Honestly, there are two very low bidders - and while I'm not sure how they can offer those bids with all fees/extras/etc included, I'm solely basing it off the lowest bid. With Warmest Regards, Brian (1/7/2008)
Response: Thanks for your response, I placed another bid, Sorry i cannot go any lower. Thanks!! (1/7/2008)
Response: I appreciate your time and offer. Respectfully, I must decline. I have three bidders @ close to $1k. One is throwing in 3 weeks of free storage. Good luck! (1/7/2008)
Response: We can give free storage as well, That is a great price we gave you, Cant go lower, Thanks!! (1/7/2008)
Question: Bryan if you just need to store the boat for awile that not a problem I can store it on my trailer at my boat yard.Just need to know what date you need it down in Fl.I am taking a trip to Fl this coming week without my trailer.I will be staying down there on vacation till the 20th at least. It would be fine at the yard, plenty of security, and Insured.Just let me know what date you need it in Fl.Thanks Dave (1/7/2008)
