Additional Information:
Just purchased an 82 Mercedes Turbo Diesel off of eBay. Need it driven from College Park, MD to Seattle, WA. I can use a driveaway service for $500 (driver pays gas), but thought I'd give this place a go first. I'd also consider bids from someone wanting to tow it or haul it (and I realize it would cost more -- gimmie a quote).
Questions for this shipment:
Question:
Iam moving from DC to Seattle at the end of august. I could pick-up the car Aug 28 and deliver by Sept 4th. I don't know if that would help but I thought that I would try. (6/28/2005)
Response:
I can't leave the car in MD for that long, so it won't work out, but thanks for the response. (6/28/2005)
Question:
i will drive it too you for 400.00 +fuel because the gas prices are going up to fast.if i leave now would be there in 3 days (6/28/2005)
Response:
As stated in the description, I already have a bid for $500 without me paying for fuel. Plus they have $1 million in insurance. Gas would probably be $200, so your bid does not beat that. Thanks anyway. (6/28/2005)
Question:
i would drive it for 500 and u pay gas. yes higher than u have. but clean driving record, insurance and can deliver it when u want. thanks tim (6/29/2005)
Response:
Thanks for the bid. It's more than I want to pay. (6/29/2005)
Question:
Hi, I would drive it for $150. I am trying to move my 2 dogs, one 9 lbs, one 55 lbs, to Seattle from Washington DC. I have to pick them up by the 15th of July and would take 5 days for the drive or so. I have a TDI beetle so I'm familiar with diesels. I have a clean DL, insurance, all verifiable. I would be happy to clean the car after arriving in Seattle. Thanks, Jessica (7/11/2005)
Response:
Jessica, thanks for the bid. It sounds great. I have a large dog myself and it's fine for you to take your dogs in the vehicle. The only potential issue I see is timing. I'm still waiting on the title. It is supposed to be here by the 13th. I can then get plates and registration for the vehicle and overnight it back to the seller to put on the vehicle. It should work out for the 15th, but that means there can't be any snafus in my switching the title/registration. It should work out, but I wanted to let you know. If there was a delay (and hopefully there won't be), could you do it a day or two later? (7/11/2005)
Question:
Hi again. To answer your question: Yes I could delay my leave date for the weekend-- I just bought my plane ticket to arrive the am of the 15th. My sister who is caring for the dogs leaves then, so I have to be in DC from the 15th on. The deadline on the other end is that I have a work commitment on the 25th in CA, So the window is the 15th through the 18th of July plus 5 or so days for the drive. Let me know if this sounds good. Thanks, Jessica ps. if it's helpful you could just send the tags etc. with me on the plane which leaves around 10 pm on the 14th... (7/11/2005)
Response:
This sounds great. Sending the plates/tags with you would be perfect and would save me $20 or however much to overnight mail them. Thanks! (7/11/2005)
Question:
Hi, Are we going to go ahead with this plan? If it doesn't work for you, I will seek an alternative solution. Please let me know asap if it's a "go" or if you have further questions. Thanks, Jessica (7/12/2005)
Response:
Yes, we're on. I'll accept your bid now. (7/12/2005)
