Freight Listing Information
Detailed Description: Please note our customer has increased his order from 6 to 8 trees so I have updated this listing accordingly. We now have a total of Eight (8), 25 Gallon containized live 'Little Gem' Magnolia trees needing shipment. Our preferred way of shipping is simply vertical via enclosed drop deck trailer. Their tops may be slightly bent without harm. Another option is shipping tilted. They may also be shipped via open trailer but absolutely must be protected from wind burn with "tree tarp". Any exposure to wind will most certainly damage the trees. Our shipping time may be flexiable and we may also be able to meet at the intersection of I-95 North and Exit 8 "Beaufort" in South Carolina.

Questions for this shipment:

Question: how tall are they and would they fit in a 14 foot box truck i could do it for you at 650.00 and the truck would be exclusivley dedicated to your plants sound good?....thanks gcf1172 (3/30/2009)
Response: Box truck would work great but we need much lower bid. The trees are only valued at about $500.00 but I appreciate your interest. We generally find the most success when someone is already dead heading back to the tree's destination. Thanks again and feel free to contact me anytime. Duane (3/30/2009)
Response: did you have a target price in mind? my quote would have been exclusive use of the truck no other freight would be on the truck to destroy or damage your plants and would be a straight thru to the destination point so they were not out riding around in the truck wihile carrier is picking up other loads thanks gcf1172 (3/30/2009)
Response: Did not have a target price in mind but we have shipped similar shipments for around $150.00 when we met service providers (at Exit 8, Beaufort, SC @ Joker Joe's Truck Stop & I-95 in route dead heading to our tree's destination. I appreciate your interests but we have to find a more economical means. Thanks again, Duane. (3/30/2009)
Response: sorry wont be able to acoomadate you for anyless price of fuel is more then that thanks maybe i can help you in the future...gcf1172 (3/30/2009)
Response: I understand completely and sincerely appreciate your interest however we simply have to move the trees at the most economical price possible for our customer. That's why it most often works best for us when a service provider is traveling dead head anyhow and they can simply use our low value orders to help offset their return fuel costs. Thanks again and feel free to contact us anytime. Duane (3/31/2009)
Question: Thanks for your bid request, at this time I am not in your area, would not be cost effective . THANKS , MIKE , TWIN OAKS CUSTOM TRANSPORT (4/3/2009)
Response: Mike, Thanks for the prompt reply and I appreciate your situation. Perhaps we might do business down the road. Take care and thanks again. Duane (4/3/2009)
Question: hi what date are u looking to transport these im comming north on the 26th and how big around are pots?. (4/9/2009)
Response: Sorry for the delayed reply. Was out of town for friend's unexpected open heart surgery. The plastic containers (pots)are approximately 24" x 24". Thanks and contact anytime. Duane (4/10/2009)
Response: Hi duawn i have a enclosed trailer that is 7' tall if i make 24" slots at a angle i beleive i can set the trees in side with miniumal bendage at the top would that work for you?. I am comming back to pA on the 26th. (4/10/2009)
Response: Titling the trees sideways is no problem in enclosed trailer. We often do this when we ship ourselves only in those applications we use a tree tarp. The 7' height does not seem to be any problem but would you kindly let me know the length of your trailer? The 26th of April does not appear to me any problem but will check with our buyer and confirm. Thanks for your question and please feel free to contact me anytime. Duane (4/10/2009)
Response: Hi the tralier is 13' so i could of taken 6 but 8 is to many i think (4/10/2009)
Response: Perhaps 8 may still work. Kindly describe interior of trailer further as well as rear closing doors, etc... Trees may be shipped vertical and stacked. They may also be tilted forward and staggered. Also, three may be place top angled forwarded then two staggered in between and then three again. Thanks for your prompt reply. Contact anytime. Duane (4/10/2009)
Response: Duane i want u to know that i cannot do these for your posted target price befor we go to much futher do u want me bid? (4/12/2009)
Response: Thanks for the reply. You are most welcome to bid anytime. We did not have a posted target price, that was just we had paid for in the past when we were talking about 6 trees instead of 8 and we met dead heading service providers at the interestion of Exit 8 (Beaufort) and I-95 North. I was more interested in the type trailer you have so that I could make certain the trees would fit inside ok. Thanks Again, Duane (4/12/2009)
