Question: Do you still need this horse shipped?? As for your target, not to be mean, but it is foolish.....with diesel at $370 a gallon, you could not drive it yourself for that!! We are out here to scrape out a small living, put yourself in our shoes! Your haul is over 400 miles. If you want it hauled safely at a reasonable price we will do it for $425. If that will work, let us know and we will bid. If not, I wish you luck, because I just don't think you are going to get it done by a hauler for less......not being snippy, just stating a fact. Response: I wish you the best of luck getting your horse hauled. I still don't think with the price of fuel you will get it done with 100 horses on the trailer for your goal. Everybody wants it done as cheaply as possibly, myself included, I was just trying to point out that we are out here trying to make a meager living, and we SURE are not getting rich off hauling horses, but your goal is just plain unrealistic under ANY circumstances. Good luck to you. I truly wish you the best, and maybe the good fairy will let a haul fall out of the sky and take your horse even cheaper, who knows??? Question: If you cannot find a haul, I can try to help you out if the gelding can layover at my farm for a day or 2 before I depart south. This may or not be a feasible idea for you. I'm located 45 minutes northeast of Detroit. My bid would be over your target and in line with the other reasonable bids you received already, so let me know IF your price requirements change.
