Question: Hello & would like to quote you an accurate / correct rate for this shipment. However, I'm in need of additional information in order to do so. Can you offer a better description of the item on the non-std pallet as it doesn't look like either a generic "steel tubing, steel parts,aluminum parts" from the picture . Our domestic common carrier volume tariff is probably more cost effective as compared to an irregular route contract carrier rate. If you can provide me with this information then I will be able to determine more correctly what we can do. ... pick-up can normally be effected within 1-3 business days of desired readiness / booking date date ... Response: The non-standard pallet has a stainless steel ice chest that is filled with steel tubing in the bottom and then there are boxes of things such as washers and machined steel parts. I thought it would be easier to contain everything in that container than trying to band the various shaped boxes on to a pallet. (11/14/2007)
