Question: I was wondering if you have ever used a shipper. The way it works is you are renting space by the mile. I give a discount for the number of horses (spaces used), for every horse you put on thats a horse from somewhere else that cant be loaded. You need to figure in wear and tear on pick up and the trailer, fuel used and a wage for the driver or drivers, and feed and water, plus labor for caring for your horses. The bid would be around 2500 for a full charge rate, without a discount. I hope this gives you some insight on the bids given to you both are VERY low bids. (8/19/2008)
