Question: Hello shipper. If Allen thinks he can do it for that amount of moeny then you better take it. I could only do your house for that much. I would get a quote from a real mover. Win my cost of fuel and time that i would have to invest plus put gas in your pathfinder while towing your boat there is no way we could make money at this job. Fuel in my truck alone iw $1600 round trip, Fuel for your truck pulling your boat is going to be atg least $600. If you dare take his bid. It is a good bid if he is true to his word on the price. Seth (2/15/2008)

Response: All,
Please note I am selling the boat so no need to worry about that. Please assume a full 5 bedroom house to be moved (2800 sq feet). I hope to do a better job with an accurate description but I would assume a full truck - can't seem to get the wife to get rid of anything. Also, I am only interested in bids from companies with feedback at this time. Price is always important but the quality of the moving company and people that we will be dealing with is more important to me than saving a few bucks. I understand that you need to make this worth your while as well.
Please note we will be closing on our home in San Diego on March 20th and likely want to move in within 1-2 weeks of that. Timing is very important to us as we need a mover that will take our items directly to the new house. Thank you for looking at my post. (2/19/2008)

Response: Hello shipper. My name is Seth D. I do not think I am allowed to put my last name up. Anyways you say you got rid of the boat. Do we still need to transport both cars then. if this is the case it will make it better for us then. It will drop the cost for you about $650 for you if that is the case. At this time we would be open for the time frame that you are talking about for your move. We would like to make this move for you, but I do not want to sound to pushy. We are based out of the St Louis area. We do travel alot back and forth to the west coast though.
I know when I seen how cheap the bids were before mine that it was going to be painfull. But I promise that we will do you right and you will be happy when we are done, or i will help you throw me out of your house. I look forward to talking again. Seth (2/19/2008)

Response: I do have 2 cars to transport as well. (2/19/2008)

Response: Ok! Is it ok to drive the pathfinder if we can not fit it in one of the 2 trailers? Also when do you think that you would like us to load up and when do you think you would be ready for delivery. This will help us on our schedule that we will make up. When we come to load there will be at least 4 guys maybe more. Seth (2/19/2008)

Response: Sorry, I don't want the cars driven. Please bid on what you can take and if you can't take both I can have the other one shipped separately (2/19/2008)

Response: Sorry - I don't want the cars driven. Move dates - last couple of weeks of March. (2/19/2008)

Response: Ok! If you do not want the cars drive then we can do that. We will add some to our bid for both cars and all your household things. Add another $four hundred for both cars in enclosed trailers. We will supply 4 guys to load all this. Seth (2/19/2008)

Response: Thx Seth (2/21/2008)

Response: So will you agree to the added cost of four hundred. I don't want to make a new bid unless you agree to that. 4guys to load and unload and both of your cars in enclsoed trailers for you as well. Seth (2/21/2008)

Response: Seth,
I am not totally sure what you are asking. What I am assuming is that your will transport both our 2004 Sienna and 2006 pathfinder inside the trucks and all of our stuff. Please assume in your bid that we have a full 5 bedroom house. Certainly if you bring 2 trucks it would all fit along with the cars. Lastly, I am assuming you would transport the shipment directly to California?
Thx
Guy (2/21/2008)

Response: Guy, Yes we will load all your things and your household things into our trailers, plus your van and your pathfinder as well. All will be enclosed transport for your things. We will pad and wrap and shrink wrap all furniture for you as well. I will replace the bid that we need to have placed. Seth (2/21/2008)

Response: Seth,
Why type of equipment will you be using? Also why type of insurance would you have - for example if my big screen was broken in the move what would I get? Is is just 60 cents/pound? (2/21/2008)

Response: We will bring a 48ft moving van and 30ft moving trailer with a truck. As far as our insurance goes, it is a depriciated amount. But if it gets broke because of the way we load it or handle it, well then we pay for the repairs or replace it if need be. If you reed some of our feedback you will see where that has happend once. Then at the time that you accept the bid we can supply you with a few references of people where we have had to replace a drawer that fell out and got broken and then a expensive mirror got broke once and we made good on it and replaced. I hope this helps. As soon as you can please let us know so we can look for loads coming back to the midwest. seth (2/21/2008)

Response: Seth,
I will be making a decision by Friday Feb 29th. The move date needs to be March 24 or 25.
Thanks
Guy (2/21/2008)

Response: Ok! Thanks guy. I am going to keep the 24 and 25th open. It will take two days for us to get it there. Can we figure on delivering it at that time. If so this will allow me to look for stuff to move back home with us. Thanks for your understanding!! Seth (2/21/2008)

Response: Seth,
If you could actually get it there in 2 days that would be worth quite a bit to me. We will be flying to San Diego the day after the move and sleeping on the floor until the beds arrive. I am not sure how you could do 2200 miles in 2 days but I assume you sleep in the truck while another guy drives.
Thanks
Guy (2/21/2008)

Response: Guy,
I can promise that we will have it there within two days of pickup. So if we load on the 24th we will be there on 26th late. It could be early though. Yes we will have 4 people there to load and unload. So we will only stop once. We have to keep a DOT log book and the hours will get us once on the way there. But we should be there within 48hrs of pick up. Seth (2/21/2008)

Response: Very impressive (2/21/2008)

Response: Thank you Guy.. We try very hard at this. Seth (2/22/2008)

Response: Seth,
I am sorry if you already received this message but I didn't seem to see it go through. You are correct that our beloved dog Brittany is very special to us and trusting her with anyone outside of family is quite stressful. You seem to be quite trustworthy and I do hope having her along would not be too much of a burden. As for her riding in the camper my main question is how do you get heat in there? She leads a sheltered life in our 70 degree home. Please note she is not at all prone to run off but of course we always have her on a leash. (2/24/2008)

Question: Hi, can we do pickup between March 3rd to March 6th? if so i can do the job for $6,900 door to door service (i'm from los angeles) with my 50' moving trailer, delivery 3-8 days, please let me know thank you, Eli. (2/19/2008)

Response: I am sorry but I won't close on the new house until March 19th.
Guy (2/19/2008)

Response: Hi Guy, March is O.K. let me Know thank you, Eli. (2/19/2008)

Response: Hi,
Please confirm your bid includes both cars (Pathfinder - 2006) and Sienna (2004). I am told that they are too heavy for car carriers - Penske or Uhaul. Also will you go directy to our new home?
FYI - Others are quoting my shipment at 16000 pounds.
Thanks
Guy (2/21/2008)

Response: Hi Guy, my price $6,900 is with out the cars, Eli. (2/21/2008)

Response: Eli,
Very impressive bid and I looked up your background and it is equally impressive. How would you move the cars? What equipment would you use?
Thx
Guy (2/21/2008)

Response: Guy, I can do the HHG first,(16,000 lbs) and if we have more room we can load the cars to the trailer with a towing truck, the price for the cars is $950 each, let me know, Eli. (2/21/2008)

Response: Eli,
Just so I am clear is your bid $6900 for the 16000 pounds and $950 for each car? (2/21/2008)

Response: Yes Guy. (2/21/2008)
