Questions for this shipment:

Question: Hi! Are there any stairs or steps involved?? Is the refrigerator in the house or garage? Does it need to be delivered in a house or to the garage? I can load this tomorrow morning and deliver the next day. Item will be pad wrapped. It doesn't need a crate. I have a dolly and a liftgate to handle the refigerator. I can do this for $375. Let me know, Thanks Todd (2/21/2007)
Response: There are no stairs or steps involved. The refrigerator is in the guy's garage in Scottsdate. It will be delivered to our garage in Dallas. Tell me more about how it will be wrapped. Doesn't it need to be palletized? It's a high dollar item, so I just want to be assured it won't get scratched in the process. Will it be tied, strapped, or otherwise secured in the van so that it doesn't move around? If you leave tomorrow, are you going to be pickinp up other items as well? You're not just going out there to pick up the one item are, you? Just curious. Sounds great. Let me call my wife and when I hear back, we can proceed. Do you have a cell phone, or is all contact to be handled via uShip? (2/21/2007)
Question: Thank you for the quick response. Refrigerator will be wrapped with moving blankets. It will be strapped to the wall, with nothing else touching it. The only time I can load is tomorrow between 7:30am-8:30am. Delivery will be on Friday between 10:30am-1:00pm. Once I place a bid and you accept, our numbers will be exchanged. Let me know if these times are acceptable and I will place my bid. Thanks Todd (2/21/2007)
Response: I think that maybe we have a misunderstanding. The refrigerator is in Scottsdale, AZ, not in Dalls. The destination is in Dallas. Are you in Arizona, now? If so, I would need to confirm with the person in AZ that he will be available from 7:30-8:30. Is there no other time you can pick up, assuming that you are in AZ now, of course? Can you let me know asap so I can email the guy and find out if he will be available? (2/21/2007)
Question: Yes, Iam in AZ now. Iam leaving AZ tomorrow around 9am back to Dallas. Let me know if you can swing the pick up in the morning. Thanks Todd (2/21/2007)
Response: OK, Todd. That's sounds good. Why don't you submit the bid so I can accept it. I called and left an message for the Scottsdale guy to call back. My wife talked to him earlier, and he said he would either call back tonight or early tomorrow morning. My only concern is if I can't get a hold of him, tonight, I have no way to know if it will be ok to have you pick it up tomorrow morning. I'll give you his contact info if you want to try to contact him as well since you are in the vicinity. His name is Steve Sampson[phone number removed]. His address is [address removed] Scottsdale, AZ 85258. Thanks, and I hope that we can do business together on such short notice! (2/21/2007)
Question: I just got your message and it is 11:00pm out here. I didn't get a chance to call Steve. I will be up around 6:45am(AZ time). I can make it it Steve's house by 8:00am. I will place my bid, and please only accept it if you can get a hold of Steve in the morning. I would like to avoid doing a match retraction. Hopefully everything will work out. Thanks Todd (2/21/2007)
Response: Well, I'm not sure what to do. My wife talked to him, and he said he would call us late tonight or early tomorrow morning. I'm going to accept and call him before you get there. I don't think it will be a problem. I was hoping that he'd have called us by now, though... (2/22/2007)
Question: It's 8am. Any word yet?? I will rebid if necessary. Todd (2/22/2007)
Response: Sorry, Todd. I tried to leave you a message at 8:02 and saw the bid had expired. No, I just called him twice and haven't heard bupkis. He was supposed to call us with his paypal info so we could pay for it before you ever got there, but he hasn't even done that. As we speak, I am probably going to stick a fork in his ass and turn him over. He's done... Thanks for your patience. I hope we can use you in the future. I wasn't wanting to do shipments outside of uShip, I was just wondering if I can specifically ask for your bid. I am new to uShip, and didn't have my pick of service providers. I just put up my shipment listing and got a couple of responses. It'd be great if I could target it a little to my own needs. Maybe you can already do that on uShip. Well, thanks and have a safe trip back to Dallas. I don't guess you happen to know anyone else who might be able to pick up for us, do you? Assuming that Steve's really on the level. LOL! (2/22/2007)
Question: Sorry, it didn't work out. What a bummer. You can request a bid from me and I can let you know if I will be in the area or not. I get to Phoenix about evry 4-5 weeks. Hopefully, Steve is on the up and up, lol. The only advice I can give you about using Uship is to make sure you check everyone's feedback and don't use a freight company to ship your refrigerator. It needs someone who knows how to handle the item. If you have any other questions, feel free to ask. Thanks again, Todd (2/22/2007)
Question: hi, we got your bid request. did you catch the person you are buying this from? i saw the whole dialouge about trying to get ahold of him! so sorry he's playing hard to get! let us know if you are for sure on the time of day that it can be picked up as we're in pheonix this weekend and could bring it back to texas for you in our 53' semi. we will also pad wrap it with our heavy duty furniture pads and secure it w/ packing straps to ensure that it is not scratched/dented or otherwise harmed! let us know! larrbo (2/23/2007)
Response: Yes. His blackberry was supposedly discharged, and he never got our calls. When will you be available in Scottsdale to pickup? Do you have experience handling refrigerators and appliances? Will there be anything close by to bump or scratch up against the refrigerator? This is a pretty high dollar item, so I want to make sure it wouldn't be damaged. Do you offer any sort of insurance? How much will it cost? It's a residence to residence delivery. No stairs or steps. Just going into my garage for storage. Thanks for your interest. Sorry for so many questions. Just trying to cover all the bases... (2/23/2007)
Question: Hello this is Craig the times I sent you were incorrect..I can make pickup times between 10;30a-11:30a (2/24/2007)
Response: Craig, You can pick up today or tomorrow? [phone number removed] Once we finalize when you can pick up the item and the get the guy to meet you, we can do this. (2/24/2007)
