Question: I am trying to catch up now but I should be empty in Or in June and will have to check on needed permits/ins/registration/broker for Alberta.Sometimes if the owner is present the crossing is much easier.I would be left with a deadhead afterwards so my price may be higher than you want.aprox 7500.00...tduncan55 (5/7/2008)

Response: Hello,
Thanks for the reply and your interest in providing a quote to ship my sailboat. I have a broker already working on the documents for entering Canada. I am willing to meet the truck at the border.
Looking forward to hearing from you. (5/7/2008)

Response: If you are really Flexable on the time I may get to it by late June to mid July.I will bid but if fuel goes up drastically by then I may have to make a reasonable adjustment.A few years back this could have been hauled for 1/2 of what it cost today. You will find I am always fair about any add on cost,I try to avoid it,I have not had to do it so far,and it is agreed on before the boat moves, but it is hard to bid that far in advance.thanks tduncan55 (5/7/2008)

Question: Thanks for the bid request. un like the others here this will not be any problem. I do not need any one at the border we have a bonding agent for Canada. I will have to see if another load I have scheduled for that time frame can be postponed. Thanks again Dale mignweldfabdelivery (5/7/2008)

Response: Hello,
Thanks for the reply and your interest in providing a quote to ship my sailboat. I have a broker already working on the documents for entering Canada. I am not sure if this is the same thing as the bonding agent that you have.
Looking forward to hearing from you. (5/7/2008)

Response: Thank you for your responce. Our hydro trailer will be available in that area around that date. This trailer can go in the water if its in there, lift your sailboat and settle to travel. It detaches from truck and all auto. Capable of going into 14 ft under. Its not cheap. would need 10.00 per mile for this trailer. Can bring to your adress in Canada door to door. The regular trailer maybe available on your time it would be less per mile. I have 22 accounts and am getting busy again I use Uship only when slow. Thank you Dale mignweldfabdelivery (5/7/2008)

Response: Hi Dale,
The boat is on a cradle and will have to be craned off and loaded on the truck at both ends. The hydro trailer sounds like a nice piece of machinery, but it is too expensive as compared to a regular trailer. The boat is stored in a yard that has a crane available. Thanks, Stephen (5/7/2008)

Response: Ok, Thank you for the info...I checked on other trailer, its just booked up there is no way I can get it there, But I can say that Tduncan55 has some nice equipment I am sure he could do your job for you with no problem. Sorry but the other unit is just too busy. Take care Dale mignweldfabdelivery (5/7/2008)

Response: Hello,
Thanks for the reply and referal to tduncan55.
I am able to keep the boat stored for as long as I want in Ventura....perhaps you can see a time in the future that you could fit it in. If so, what would you charge.
Thanks,
Stephen (5/7/2008)

Response: Stephen, My rate is subject to change according to the time of year and weather conditions,But I will say that I am around the lowest in the winter time then any one, but it would also depend on the permits, Is the weight correct? seems kinda light for that boat, The other thing I noticed, how tall are you sitting now> the cradle looks pretty tall. I would charge you around 6,000 check on the weight for me thanks dale mignweldfabdelivery (5/7/2008)

Response: Hi Dale,
I would prefer to see the boat moved in May or June. The boat weighs 24,000 pounds. It is only 11' wide and quite narrow. It has 12,000 lbs of lead in the keel and the rest of her construction if faily light for racing. The boat at the moment does not have an interior or a motor and it is less than 24,000. I believe with the cardle it will make up the weight difference.
I am not sure if you are thinking of moving via boat trailer or a flat deck with the cradle. As I mentioned in my listing I would prefer that the boat not be shipped on the cradle. Without the cradle it is 11"6" tall. The cradle will have it's legs removed prior to hauling so it will fit on the truck under the boats overhangs.
Let me know if you have any more questions and I like the price range you can offer.
Thanks,
Stephen (5/8/2008)

Question: Sorry, gave you the wrong price for the hydro trailer since it will be in your area Possably on your date you need it will be 7.50 per mile including permits door to door, normaly if I have to dead head out I always get a deadhead charge for this trailer, it costs $210,000 for the hydro trailer no one has this type of trailer special order that detaches from the truck and can automaticly pick up a power or sail in this manner thank you ,Dale mignweldfabdelivery (5/7/2008)

Question: dear shipper, thank you for the bid request, we easily have the equipment for this move but currently have nothing that brings us out to the west coast at this time, you could also try san diego boat movers out your way, they to are more then capable of transporting for you,bob@yachtsalvage (5/8/2008)
