Questions for this shipment:

Question: the only help i can offer is a trailer 10x6x6 7000-9000lbs cap. and truck w 5'x6'cover bed too load up as much as can fit it may not be all but may fit most valuable items you do not want to loss Ck on Ebay also feedback is great also membership name (imove4Less) i have a deal if you may think i need a contaier like this for my move and you need item and keep them safe from junk man I have items in NC too pu sometime this mth and will be coming from NH with partial load and can maybe help you get most off the valuable items and allso get the container moved out from were it is Earl USAshipping4less (11/10/2006)
Response: Thanks for your offer. I need to move the shipping conainer .. it will become my storage space in Georgia. (11/10/2006)
Question: Just my two cents, But truckers will want at least 1 dollar per mile to move a loaded container. If it were empty they can make some extra $$ on the side and it will move for around $800. (11/10/2006)
Response: Thanks- I am hoping someone is looking for a load in MA to avoid running empty- It's a long shot I know- (11/10/2006)
Question: I certainly can help you with this, however in that the container is on the ground,a crane is going to be needed to get it onto our flatbed. Randy (11/11/2006)
Response: Would I need a crane at delivery as well? Is it possible to transfer from a tilt bed to a flat bed? (11/13/2006)
Question: I can make this shipment right away for you. (11/11/2006)
Response: This container is on the ground and will need to be placed on the ground in Georgia. Pick up on 21 Dec. Does this date work for you? can you get the container off the ground and can you put it on the ground? (11/13/2006)
Question: A TILT BED WOUD NOT BE STRONG ENOUGH AND THE GOODS INSIDE WOULD SHIFT (damage) YOU will need to have a crane at both ends. (11/13/2006)
Response: Thanks. I guess I can't afford a crane. I'll have to figure something out. Another provider said he could do it with his "landover" trailer and Semi. and winch the box onto the trailer. Does this sound legit to you? (11/16/2006)
Question: Thanks for your request, however, I can't help you with this one. (11/16/2006)
Response: Thank you for your response. Do you have any suggestions? (11/16/2006)
Question: Not at this time. Sorry, but Good Luck to you. (11/16/2006)
Question: I DONT THINK THERE IS WINCH AVAILABE THAT WILL HANDLE THAT KIND OF WEIGHT.AT THE PORTS THAT HANDLE THOSE TYPES OF CONTAINERS, CRANES ARE THE ONLY THING THAT THEY USE. (11/16/2006)
Response: From what I read at container sales sites, they said that a tilt bed and winch were a common way to handle this when a crane was not available. I rec'd one bid that was going to use a landover trailer and winch. (11/16/2006)
Question: Sorry no equipment heading into the south at this time. ;) (11/16/2006)
Question: I know this is not a forum for shipping but if you guys with your little trailers don't know what you are talking about then leave the shipper alone all you are doing is giving bad info. The guy that said a tilt bed would not take the weight is wrong. I have a Landall and it is good for 35 ton, the guy that said they only use cranes at the ports, well lets face it you can't really pull the containers off the ships with a winch that would make a mess, that is why they use cranes, i have moved hundreds of containers loaded and empty. Never had a problem and nothing ever tipped over (damage). Maybe because i am a pro and not trying to get in over my head. So give this guy a break. I had bid on this but a good customer has just booked a lot of work with me. P. S. if you know how to use a Landall and you are good YOU CAN winch this on. Thanks for your time. (11/16/2006)
Response: Landoll trailers agrees with you and says it is a perfectly acceptable use of their trailers. Unfortunately, you and Landoll seem to be the only one's aware of this. Is there any way I can beg you to find some time to do this? If I see a bid from you at 2001 dollars I will accept it immediately! Please Help! (11/27/2006)
Question: thanks for the bid request,i am not in that area but if you don't need this done until dec i will work on some freight going that way and keep you in mind you will hear back from me in a few days or so thanks, brian (11/16/2006)
Response: Sounds great thanks! I'll keep my fingers crossed. (11/17/2006)
Question: I can either take this shipment myself or arrange for one of my partners to do this, but I would need to know the approximate weight of the goods inside the container. I haul these all the time and have the equipment for the job. Ypu will need a crane on both ends. I will arrange the timing so the crane can be schedualed. Does this still need to be shipped?Time frame you are shooting for? (11/18/2006)
Question: As for truckers hauling for a buck/mile,this is not so. It costs most truckers more than that to run the truck, especially with the price of fuel, tolls, road use taxes, insurance and more. BTW, the driver is not responsible for the contents of a container, so you must make certain everything is secure against shifting. I have a 48' step deck, and I haul many containers. I have not seen a Landall haul one. That type of equipment usually goes for better than $3.00/mile as the trailer is very expensive. (11/18/2006)
Question: Excuse me for butting in where I don't belong but a Landoll trailer is the ONLY cost-effective and sensible way to move this container. Period. Joanimal57 (11/24/2006)
Response: Do you know anyone whao has a Landoll who is willing to do this? Most everyone who claims to have a landoll says it can't be done without a crane. (11/27/2006)
Question: i am in the midwest right now give me a few days to try to work things out. (11/28/2006)
Response: Bless you! (11/29/2006)
