Question: I need to know size of boxes and approximate weight to determine vehicle size before I can bid (4/12/2008)

Response: an average size is: 14 wide x 22 depth x 10 tall and 35 lbs. I just pulled a box at random
(4/12/2008)

Response: Also would I be expected to provide the labor for loading and unloading or do you have help at both ends? (4/12/2008)

Response: you would need to provide help loading and unloading on both ends. (4/12/2008)

Response: I dont understand how people are bidding so low on this. You have 14,000 lbs which requires a large straight truck due to weight. I estimate 2 to 3 hours at each end for two people to load and unload. I could not possibly do this for less than $950.00. Good luck to you on your shipment (4/13/2008)

Response: I have concerns about it also. I think people are bidding on transportation only, and not taking into account the loading/unloading. Its one thing to be picking them up on a pallet, and transporting pallets, but this is from shelf to shelf.. (4/13/2008)

Response: Well I can move in my sprinter van taking about 5000 pounds per trip and making 3 trips or I can lease a big truck and do it in 1 trip. Sprinter will be easier to load and unload and cost would be the same either way due to truck lease. I know I am not the lowest bid but if you want me to submit a formal bid, please ask. My home is very close to the pick up location (4/14/2008)

Response: thanks for explaining. It is only an hour trip, and tolls for the turnpike run $.50 to ohio, and $3.50 for the return. (4/14/2008)

Response: tolls are alot higher for that weight. I would not use the turnpike anyway. I am in Youngstown often and run the back roads which is even shorter (4/14/2008)

Response: You'll have to tell me about those shorter routers, I've been going back and forth 3-4 times a week.. ;) (4/14/2008)

Response: take route 60 north past airport and get off at chippewa (last exit before toll) turn left and stay straight on that road to route 7 north. Route 7 runs right into youngstown. No tolls (4/14/2008)

Response: thanks, I'm headed back up there tomorrow, for the closing on the property.. I'll give that a shot. (4/14/2008)

Question: I can fit most of the boxes into one trip, (my truck is 12x8. I am willing to do two trips since location is only 58 miles apart. I can do next weeken for 450. Interested>? (4/12/2008)

Response: I'm unable to commit until Tuesday. Its a property we're buying and want to make sure we close prior to committing. (4/12/2008)

Response: Ok, so should I get back with you Tuesday Evening or Wednesday> (4/12/2008)

Response: Anytime after Monday should work. We are shooting for a Tuesday closing, and Monday we will know for sure what date it will take place. (4/12/2008)

Response: Sounds like a plan, I will message you then (4/12/2008)

Question: Is their room to get a tractor trailer into both places? (4/13/2008)

Response: yes, you can get an 18 wheeler in both locations (4/13/2008)

Response: Will you supply any help loading and unloading or is that all up to the service provider? How soon do you need this done? Are weekends an option? Thanks, John. (4/13/2008)
