Questions for this shipment:

Question: Shipper, I may be going by the mast location empty, could haul to gales ferry for 300. Let me know if you're interested. Thanks, Pete - Stonington marine Transport (4/30/2007)
Response: we do not wish to do business with Stonington Marine transport (4/30/2007)
Question: I use SMR quite a bit for extra loads that we can't do, could you tell me why I just want to make sure that we are not giving work to someone we shouldn't, Thanks (5/27/2007)
Response: Ill try o keep thus short. I have awooden boat in mid restoration that needed to be moved from NY to CT. I contracted with Pete 5/06. I went to NY to ucover boat and wait for Pete to arrive. He never did. He scheduled 2-3 other pick up dates with the same result. After 3 months of this he said he didnt want the job any more. This time delay left my boat exposed to the elements for five months and cost me many hours of rework. The boat was eventually transported without any problems at all by Brownell. The mast was also to be transported by Pete but since the mast was in a different location Brownell didnt transport. I would have been better off if I had never heard of Stonington Marine Transport. If you can help me transport mast, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for your interest. I hope this information was useful. (5/27/2007)
Question: hello, do you have an idea of what you are willing to pay? i have a friend with a 40ft goose neck trailer and can let him know. (5/27/2007)
Response: I dont have a specfic amount in mind. Im willing to pay any fair price..Pls throw a number at me..There is no hurry on this..Ideal would be to pick up on a empty return trip. I will meet to help load and unload. Thanks.. (5/29/2007)
Question: Thank you for your response, I would love to help but I just had 2 trucks go down with transmission problems, so I am scrambling to get my exixting loads covered, thank you for the info on SMT, I will find someone else to cover my loads, I have been sending work their way for almost a year now and have not had any feedback on how they do so this was interesting, and in that year I have not seen one load from them so I guess I know know, Thanks again and good luck, If I have a truck down that way I will get in touch with you, Regards RMS (5/27/2007)
Response: Thanks..it makes me feel good that eventually there is a little bit of justice now and then. Do you have a hydraulic trailer that is capable of handling a sailboat 35ft x 9'3" beam 5'6" draft disp=14,500 lbs. In the near future I will need transport twice a year from Gales Ferry to stonington Ct. I would like to give you that business if possible. Also there is no hurry on the mast it is safely stored waiting completion of boat rebuild. Pls keep me in mind..Thanks, Paul (5/29/2007)
Question: do you still need this picked up can do for you in morning TLCRELOCATION (6/1/2007)
Response: yes....i need some lead time to meet you there..thanks (9/4/2007)
Response: IN FLA ON FRI IF YOU NEED PICKED UP THANKS DAVID (9/4/2007)
Question: Hello. Are you still looking for a hauler to transport the mast? If so, I have a 34' hydraulic. We could prep the mast for transport and safely strap it to the trailer if you are compfortable with that. Unfortunately, we will not be able to help you transport the 35' sailboat, as our trailer is not equipped with the sail boat stands. Have a good day. (7/11/2007)
Response: Yes i still need this mast shipped. This mast is a sitka spruce mast that is probably not replaceable today. I am somewhat cocerned about it overhanging your trailer by at least 6 ft. I would meet you there and help load/pad and follow you to Ct. The concern I have is on turns how far the mast would swing. That depends on where the wheels are on your trailer. Pls give me your thoughts.. Thanks..Have a good day.. Paul (7/13/2007)
Question: I am waiting on a boat right now at City Isl Ny.I am considering your mast BUT I will have to do immediatly...53' Boat transport trailer...mast hangers...300,000 cargo ins.I own the operation...500.00+uship fees for I will have to deadhead back here quick...tduncan55(ThomasDuncanTrucking) (7/30/2007)
Response: Thanks for your interest. Im looking to add on an existing load going my way..would like to pay aroung 300$. Pls keep me in mind if this works for you...thanks (8/6/2007)
Response: This was something I could've done while waiting in the area.thanks for getting back with me,I am underway to San Diego.good luck..tduncan55 (8/6/2007)
Question: I will be up in the area the majority of the week and through next weekend, If you look at my 3rd picture, (the one with the aluminum ganways on it, I will have that trailer up there this with the rear rack. Your mast can fit up there and none will hang over the back. Let me know if this will work or is off interest to you. (8/5/2007)
Response: Trailer looks fine...would have to meet you for loading as there is no one there to identify mast or help load...would need some lead time to get there...thanks...Paul (8/6/2007)
