Question: Hi, Please check my driver profile, feedback & pictures. That will tell you about me. I drive a 06 Ford F350 longbed dually 4x4 pulling a custom 18' single car hauler trailer equipped with winch, loading ramps and using strap type tiedowns. I can move your non runner project pickup. I am licenced and insured nationwide (as a tow truck) I have full coverage on transported vehicle to $100,000.00 and $1,000,000.00 liability insurance. I transport one car at a time. My service is door to door and COD. I pay all uShip fees. NOW, My fee is $1.00 per loaded mile. I use uShip miles or Map Quest. I will have a load from So Cal to Sweetgrass MT. going north so I would has a lot of deadhead miles to your pickup point. There is just no room for adjustment on my charge. My time frame is pretty flexible at this time. Interested, please respond ASAP so I may schedule the entire trip and "Get ER Done". Thanks for the consideration. Question: Hello again, I was just noticing all your $.50 cent per mile bids. Just wanted to let you know - I am still here. As a single car transporter my single car load has to pay all the expenses and net. My 350 dually averages about 10 MPG. With diesel fuel running $3.00 plus. Insurance @ close to 5 grand a year, licences & permits are about 2 thou a year. The truck and trailer alone cost over $60,000. You are looking to get a non runner truck moved from a off normal route location. Even the 13 car carriers can't do it for 50 cents a mile. Only brokers would make you that offer and then you don't know what you are going to get. So I am still here, my fee would still be $1.00 per loaded mile provided I can get a north bound load. $1.80 per trip mile if you would like me to just deadhead up there and get it for you. Question: I know that you said that you would haul this yourself, but in the event that you change your mind, I am based out of Great Falls, but am committed with a series of 11 loads out of Texas to Billings at the moment. I am going to try to get to San Diego the end of October as my son is graduating from Boot Camp there at that time. If it is not time sensitive, I could bid the load at $1125 and deliver it for you. Question: You asked if we are still interested in picking this up. The short answer is yes, although we have at least three round trips to Dallas booked, so it would be a couple weeks. Also fuel has gone up over a quarter a gallon so I would be at $1318.98 if I re-bid this, but would honor my previous quote of $1125 provided fuel does not go up another quarter between now and then.
