Question:
8/20/2009
Hi! Will there be a crane at the delivery to unload this? And if so, is it a residential area that a semi is allowed to be in? I believe I can get this hauled for you at your rate, maybe lower. Let me know!Report a Violation
Response: I'm looking at several options and looking into using a loading dock, a crane is out of the picture. Let me know what you have for equipment and how you would like to do it ideally.8/20/2009Report a Violation
Response: Ideally, the best way and the most inexpensive is to put it on a flatbed. However, you have to have a crane on either end to put it on and take it off. I really don't know of any other way to transport it! I would be more than happy to bid on this if you can arrange for loading and unloading.8/20/2009Report a Violation
Response: Thanks, We're looking into a load dock right now, and should know in a few days. Please bookmark this shipment and I'll get back to you when I know. I will have a machine to unload it at drop off. I will also change the ad when things change. We are also considering using a drivers trailer instead of buying the container, I'm open.8/21/2009Report a Violation
Response: I will definitely keep my eye on it, just let me know! Thank you!8/21/2009Report a Violation
Response: I've got one guy willing to move it for 2,800. in a couple from now are you interested in beating that?8/31/2009Report a Violation
Question:

I assume being 25,000 lbs it is loaded? The cheapest way would be to put it on train to Chicago and truck it from there.Report a Violation
Response: 25,000 lbs is container loaded weight. Yes I'm getting better prices for rail to chicago or other places. It might be the way to go. Do you know of any other rail places to call?8/21/2009Report a Violation
Response: I do but it is against uship policy to steer you off the site. There should be service provider that can quote you by rail.8/21/2009Report a Violation
Response: I've called JB Hunt and Schneider. Maybe you could just pass on names and or contact people. thanks8/21/2009Report a Violation
Response: Ask for a quote from Fairpricedshipping, his company can put it on rail. What about getting a heavy duty tow truck to load it on flatbed? If you could do that I could haul it for you. I can sell yyou a 40ft container as well.8/24/2009Report a Violation
Response: Shoot me a price on a container, I've got one now at $1,500. I'll look into this place. I have gotten two quote be rail, and the lowest by truck of $2,800. Let me know what you'll do it for. Thanks for everything.8/24/2009Report a Violation
