Question: is there loading help i can do for max (10/2/2009)

Response: There will probably be a lower bid than the max. I gave for the maximum price the price I paid for a similar shipment with white glove service, with a two story delivery of antiques with no challenges, no damage. These are used pieces in uncertain condition which will be reupholstered. For a while they will be in storage. A wrap suitable to this would be appreciated a moisture, vapor barrier anything that would make them easy to move and store. Palletizing them seems excessive so I don't know how to bump up the price and get value for my dollar. Ground floor delivery site with minimal unloading time is directly to a flatbed truck. If plans change the site may change too,to a storage facility or a basement entry door a block away from the garage. (10/2/2009)

Response: $285 good (10/2/2009)

Response: Right now there isn't a hurry. Oct. 15th would be as soon as possible. I'll wait to see if there are better offers. (10/2/2009)

Response: coming your way next week let me know (10/2/2009)

Response: The seller has to be paid first. They have to receive the mail and clear the check. This could not happen before next Friday. (10/2/2009)

Response: if your flexible thats fine just except then we can work out dates. ohio is a 5 hour drive so i can get something booked out there then. let me know can pick up when ready (10/2/2009)

Response: I contacted the seller and and I am waiting for his answer about the payment, dates of pick up etc. Are you interested in going to McDermott, OH SE Ohio (near Portsmouth) on the way to pick up some antique pocket doors too ? (10/3/2009)

Response: i can do $550 for both pickups let me know before i bid (10/4/2009)

Response: If there is that much expense for the extra pick up I can get there another time after I pass my driving test. I thought you were trying to justify the max. I hope you don't think I am being too cheap. The seller asked for a bigger sum than I think they are worth, so I asked him to pay part of the shipping (from the auction sum I pay him) and so far he has agreed to do so. That means you'll get a partial payment before you take off if that helps any.I'm not sure that I can do that ($550) for the shipment as listed. Sorry. People who deliver sometimes charge an hourly sum for their driving. Extra driving means extra, money. $285 + 30 is 315. If the seller gives $75 then the two shipments would pay $390 total. (10/4/2009)

Response: delivery drivers charge by miles now. most charge for space in the truck. i only have 15 foot box truck so i have to book smaller items and book a couple to make runs work. if i had a 26 foot truck i could do less but i have less space. thats why i stick to a certain area so its cost effective. (10/4/2009)

Response: Space wise the doors aren't a problem. Pick up trucks are designed to carry plywood. The furniture without the pillows and cushions could be stacked with the chair upside down and the cushions in plastic bags could be tossed in where they fit. (10/5/2009)

Response: let me know if $450 is reasonable (10/4/2009)

Response: The other bidder on this shipment has offered a competitive price. The pick up date that he suggests is weeks earlier than the date you have available. If the seller responds that one date or the other works better for him I will be able to accept or decline any offer, based on the seller's response. I am waiting to get an email soon and can book the shipment, shortly. (10/8/2009)

Question: let me know exact dates this month is getting booked but early next month would be great (10/5/2009)

Response: Thank you Kevin, That would be great. I am checking my email to hear from the seller right now. I don't have any exact details to provide. Sending messages through eBay might be the way to get a message through to the Long Island area seller. When I know, I'll send the word along to you. Diane. (10/6/2009)
