Question: Hello I am in Memphis and can do this delivery for you. The problem is very high toll in the north some bridges are $36 to $50 per crossing for my dully pick up and trailer. I am a great cat person but the best I could offer for ths distance is $399 tolls will eat more that $100 (8/12/2009)

Response: I will ask the owner for a decision. Will they be in ac or outside? Also what date would you haul? They have all had rabies shots do they need something else? Thanks (8/13/2009)

Response: Hi We have four cats ourself and only transport in Backseat full air and conversation with me. So are real talkers. dates are flexiable for me ,maby first of month Bob in Memphis (8/13/2009)

Question: Oh no - soooo close.... He would have to pick up by this evening, and deliver by Saturday - any way he could bring your boy to a friend's place or your vet?? (8/13/2009)

Response: I do not understand what are you meaning? (8/13/2009)

Response: Sorry - that answer was supposed to go to a completely different listing - an alpaca, sorry :-) The question for you is, how soon you need this done, we are going that route end of August and could ship for $300 then! (8/13/2009)

Response: I will see if my daughter wants to wait that long for them because I do not want to wait-she left them here and I am allergic to them!!! I love cats but I have to go through a lot to handle them and I cant really take good care of them. (8/13/2009)

Response: Sorry to hear that - allergy to cats is not fun to deal with...
We possibly could pick up this Saturday, if your daughter could come down to meet us near Lancaster,PA, that way you only would have to tend to them for one more day. Please advise, if that could work, Thanks! (8/13/2009)

Response: My daughter does not have control over it her dad does she is 18 but just really a kid. I cant even get them bathed by that time because I have to take them to a vet or a groomer-if I get scratched....imagine! I would have to get an appointment and I do not think I can on short notice but I will see. I am calling her right now. (8/13/2009)

Response: You do NOT have to bathe them for the transport! They will overnight at our house in VA, and if one really should need a bath, we can do it (I am a small animal vet). (8/13/2009)

Response: okay I just spoke to her on the phone I would give you her number but that is not allowed. I will see what her dad says or she will call later and I will let you know. I do not think she can drive to anywhere because she just recently learned to drive and you veterinarians ( I went to vet school at the Univ of Missouri in 1982 for a year but quit because of severe allergies and asthma that was out of control for about 5 years)! are not the egoists that her dad's type are ! He is an MD and does not usually have time for such things-but I will see. (8/13/2009)

Response: What a nightmare... hope we can find a solution! Yes, vets rarely have the egos of MDs (vet surgeons do!), but because of that, we also make much less money! Sorry you had to quit vet school because of your allergies. (8/13/2009)

Question: Hello - just another try: we can pick up later today, keep the kitties at our house (guest room) and deliver door-to-door next week Sunday or Monday - would have to charge $385 for that. Could that work for you? please let me know soon, Thanks! (8/15/2009)

Response: I just spoke to her my daughter to ask her to ask her dad. He pays I am just the go thru (the mom). I would have to say no. One of the cats "Harry" is not friendly. I was going to put them all in cages with litter in them and request that they not be taken out until she gets them. These are not show cats these are just regular pet cats. They are not friends to strangers and Harry is hateful to her owner on some of her temperamental days! I was just going to buy some expensive strongly deodorized litter put in paper on the bottom put them in a little bit bigger crate and leave it like that. I do not want them taken out because they are cats and all cats are basically wild animals they are just small and somewhat controllable because of their size! (8/15/2009)

Response: Well - as I said, I am a small animal veterinarian, who graduated in 1981, so I certainly feel capable of dealing even with "Harry"! Hope you can send them off soon - I saw your new listing has already good bids on it! (8/17/2009)

Response: I am sorry I just dont want to be responsible so I told my daughter to do it herself. She is telling me (an 18 year old) she will "hate me forever" if something happened to her cats. Well I though I raised her better than that but I have now left it to her because I just want them gone. My 2 younger kids have now started school and those cats are in a cat domain that we built for them out in the pasture. They do not have time to go out there and I am SEVERELY allergic. I would give you her phone number but USHIP wont allow it. I would say you are the SUPERIOR candidate for the job. I will tell her if she is up now I will call her and tell her to look you up. (8/17/2009)

Response: Thank you for your bid request (and the one from your daughter)! Unfortunately, my husband is way past your pick-up point by now - we had a major storm yesterday with power outage, and I just got my internet back on. The two bids your daughter has are both good, responsible shippers, I would not hesitate to send your kitties with one of them! (8/18/2009)

Response: okay thanks! (8/18/2009)
