Freight description: log siding, banded into 16' long x 42" wide by 30" high units. Needs to be shipped via flat-bed and tarped. Can be stacked.
Additional Information: Looking for LTL flatbed or hotshot. Will be loaded by forklift at origin and unloaded by forklift at destination. Destination is a farm and will be willing to recieve and unload anytime day, night, weekend with prior notice. Report a Violation

Question: Hello shipper - we are a small hotshot out of Elk River, MN. Experienced, careful, insured. Will beat any price presented by Ship-It-Now calculator - tell me when you are ready for us to bid, when you are ready to accept. MRE (10/25/2009)
Response: I have a customer ready to order this load but I need a committed freight cost. I would never even consider the ridiculous ship-it-now rates which are essentially full tl rates, so that is really not relevant. So give me a fair bid. I can tell u it's probably not going to work if I am paying you to deadhead back. That's why we are very flexible on times. You could have as much as a month after 11/15. (10/25/2009)

Question: What are the items on the pallets? Do you think a 13 foot box truck will work for this? We are willing to take items off of the pallets if that is possible. Thanks! (10/26/2009)
Response: The items are 16' long pcs of 2x8 log siding. There are 350 pcs of these. It is not feasible to ship this way as they need to stay bundled to help prevent warping. The recipient will also want to keep them banded as he does not expect to utilize right away. (10/26/2009)

Response: I think that would be great. Let me talk to my customer. Since we weren't getting good bids on this, he was thinking of renting a trailer and driving up here to haul it back himself. But that will also cost him another 400 in sales tax. We will be very flexible with schedules so you can work our schedule into a backhaul or your other stops. Go ahead and post the bid. Response: We will, in all probability, have this ready to ship a week early - Nov 9. I should have their deposit money by tomorrow or Friday. Once I get that I will confirm your bid and then we can set a firm schedule. (10/28/2009)
