Questions for this shipment:

Question: when will they be ready to ship? and can we load these on a 48ft. stepdeck trl.? shipper would know this question.i'll be available in this area on 3-19-08. thanks stepdecker (3/13/2008)
Response: The manufacturer does not want to use their forklift for loading. So a wedge type trailer would be better. Also, we do not have a forklift yet, so offloading would be difficult with a stepdeck. Thanks, Mark (3/13/2008)
Question: Hi. What is the overall length of all 4 trailers? (3/13/2008)
Response: The overall length of Two trailers are 16'3", and the other two are 14'9". But the tongues can be tucked under the trailer in front. The box lengths are 12', 12', 12', 12' for a total of 48' If you look at the picture that I included on Uship, there is approximately 5 to 8' feet at the end of this 53' wedge. Hope this helps. (3/14/2008)
Question: I have a 50ft low profile wedge trailer I could haul your trailers on. I would be able to do it the week of April 14. Thanks,Jay(wildfiretransport) (3/18/2008)
Question: Hello Shipper, we at WAI Hauling can transport this on our trailer secured for $2174.82 with a 6 day or better delivery time. We will be available for this pick up in early April, Please reply if interested in this space and time slot. If another time slot is better please feel free to request one. Thank you and have a good day. WAI-Hauling (3/20/2008)
Response: Thank you for the bid. Can you tell me what type of trailer you have? Does it have a winch, so you can load and unload these trailers yourself? The manufacturer does not like to use their forklift. Is it low enough to handle a 9'-3" trailer. Any surcharges or extra fees not shown in your price? Thanks, Mark Tinkham (3/20/2008)
Response: Basically the same trailer you have pictured. Maybe a longer one we have a 08 dodge ram pulling a 53' car hauler. (3/20/2008)
Response: So your trailer can easily handle the 9'3" height. What about the winch. I apologize if I am repeating myself, but the manufacturer has stressed that any transporter must be able to load the trailers themselves. How about the surcharges or fees that are not shown in your price? (3/20/2008)
Response: Only the loading right you can get the trailers off the truck right? the dealer doesnt want to load. We can load the truck as it is our option but we bill loading at 40.00 per hour. we may be able to work out a better arrangement. (3/20/2008)
Response: Typically, the transporter will utilize their winch to take the trailers off. Does your truck have a winch and 3 ramps - the third ramp being necessary for the tongue jack. Thanks Mark (3/20/2008)
Response: yes it has a winch on tongue and we have additional winches. (3/20/2008)
Response: Have you hauled any horse trailer before? If so, how were they loaded and unloaded? (3/20/2008)
Response: cant kid you we have towed a few and hauled 2 once but they were loaded by forklift and unloaded same. they dropped them on out dropdeck trailer. We can get a forklift at pick up location for loading should only be 250$ to rent. then do it that way. (3/20/2008)
Question: Had to increase my price due to fuel increases now and in the next few weeks, plus uship takes a sizeable chunk. If only one of the trailers is 9'3" that won't be a problem. The tallest part of my trailer is 4.5 ft. I can put the taller trailer at the back of the trailer which is much lower. Thanks,Jay(wildfiretransport) (3/20/2008)
Response: Hi Jay, I declined your bid simply because I wanted to change the dates. UShip would not let me change the date with an open bid. I wanted to send you a note before I declined the bid, but was not able to. The trailers will not be done until April 4th and will be available for pickup after that. All of the trailers are the same height. The transport trailer that I have shown in the picture, measured 55" at the highest point. So you should be fine. I have someone who said they would do it for $2174 which is very very low...so I suspect they will tack on fuel surcharges and surprise me with extra fees. Your original bid would have been acceptable. Thanks anyhow, Mark (3/20/2008)
Response: If you still want to consider my bid I'll bid my original amount of $3800 but I can't go any lower. That price is complete with no hidden charges. Thanks,Jay(wildfiretransport) (3/20/2008)
