Question: Hello, can you send me a list of items you are wanting to ship? What is your budget for this move? When are you wanting to make this move? I have a 40ft. enclosed gooseneck trailer with appx. 2000 cu.ft. of space setup for moving and I will be in VA. dropping off a load of furniture on or about OCT. 24th-25th. Let me know if you think this might work. Thanks for your time, Ken (10/9/2009)

Response: Hi Ken,
A different mover estimated the volume at 2400 CF, so I am thinking I have more than 2000 CF. But, since you are going to be in the vicinity, it may be good to run a load over. We had planned on moving in December, so this would move it up quite a bit. Therefore, I am going to have to check to see there will be space to unload at that time, and also, if I can get some help on the other end to unload. Will I need to hire loaders on this end, too? What would you charge for a full truck going from Triangle, VA to OKC? Thanks for your interest. Mark (10/10/2009)

Response: Thanks for the reply. If you were to have a couple of helpers on each end I would be able to transport a full trailer load up to 7500 lbs. for $2825.00. I don't want to sound pushy, but if you can let me know ASAP as I have a couple who wants their household goods shipped to Miami. I would much rather go to OKC as it is closer to my home in Colorado. Thanks again for the reply. Ken (10/10/2009)

Response: Thanks, that sounds pretty good. Give me until tomorrow noon (EST)at the latest, I will see if eveything will be available on the other end. I will need space to put it and I am sure I can get a couple of strong boys! Again, thanks! Mark (10/10/2009)

Response: Please let me know one way or the other so I can finalize my route. Thanks, Ken (10/10/2009)

Response: Ken,
Do you have packing quilts and dollies or do I need to furnish them? Also, you said that you were dropping off on the 24th or 25th, when would that put you be here? I will need to make plans to be off work and get some guys. Thanks, Mark (10/10/2009)

Response: Mark, I have several dozen clean moving blankets a couple of dollies and plenty of straps to secure the load. If all goes as planned I will be unloaded in Manassas VA. no later than 9AM on Oct.24th. I can be at your door step before 10:30 the same morning. If you can roundup a couple strong, ambitious young men we can have the trailer loaded and ready to head down the road before dark. The first thing I need to do is summit a bid, once you accept it, you will receive my contact info. at that point we can talk on the phone to finalize all of the details.Let me know if this works and I will summit the bid, Ken (10/10/2009)

Response: Ken, sounds great - send the bid. Questions: 1) can we leave clothes in drawers? (Obviously nothing heavy or breakable in drawers) 2)What will you NOT haul? 3) Any chance you will be back on the east coast betweemn now and Christmas? We are almost certainly going to need another load. Thanks, Mark (10/10/2009)

Response: Mark,I just placed my bid. To answer your questions, yes just leave clothes in the drawers. The biggest limitation you have with chest of drawers is how much weight it will handle when picked up. I will not haul any hazardous materials(open paint containers, acid of any type, open containers of oil, things of this nature) I will haul most all household items. If it is illegal to own I won't transport it. There is a good possibility of being back on the east coast before Christmas, once we have this load taken care of we can plan on a date for the next. Looking forward to talking to you. (My typing finger is getting sore) Ken. (10/10/2009)
