Questions for this shipment:
Question:
I can do this for 3500.00 insured. (11/1/2008)
Response:
Can you reply with your bid so I see it on my bid page? Listed 4BR house, but are currently in a 2BR apt with a 10x10 storage unit. 4BR House is overkill as we have no appliances (and we came from a 3BR house - are in apt while our new house is built in NC). Questions: 1) Can u clarify if u pack/unpack and/or load/unload? 2) Are you avail in Dec? We close on our house Dec 12th in Mount Holly, NC. Would prefer to have our goods arrive in NC between Dec 27 and 29 if possible (can pack from WI anytime in Dec... 19,20, or 21 would be preferred). Other options? 3) What options for further insurance is there? Cost? 4) Would you pick up in 2 locations (Apartment and storage shed in same city: Menomonee Falls)? 5) Will we ever transact outside of just this site? We need to feel secure that we can plan with 100% confidence regarding move dates since we are transfering jobs and kids' school dates & are new here 6) Is the offer binding? 7) What type of moving truck is used? Thanks! (11/2/2008)
Question:
I hope the we doesnt mean hired hands, I am the driver, mover, and owner of my company. Every move I do I treat it as if I am moving my own family. You can rest assure that I will provide you with a stress free move. I leave no room for error and things will not change on move day. Thanks QU1CKSH1P (11/4/2008)
Response:
I am confused by your question? In any case, I truly appreciate that you treat every move with such care. Being as stressful as this is for my wife and I, we need someone to really handle the move for us. The good news is when we moved out of our 3BR house into our 2BR apartment (while our new house is built), we packed up and filled a 10x10 storage unit. So half of our packing is done as we are living with the bare minimum necessities while we await the move. Thanks! (11/4/2008)
Response:
Then let this be your best move and releive you of the moving day stress. (11/4/2008)
Response:
Let's hope! Will confirm our decision this weekend with my spouse. (11/5/2008)
Response:
sounds great cant wait to speak to you on the phone. (11/5/2008)
Question:
Hello from Charlotte. The bids you are higher than I can bid. Let me try to answer some of your questions. The only bid you can accept is a formal bid, you can not accept a figure that I might offer u in a question. No phone or e-mails are allowed to be exchanged until u accept a bid. This is a Uship rule. Once you accept a bid, then u can discuss any details that need to be discussed by phone or e-mail. If I bid on your job, the total bid seen on your listing page is the only amount you will pay. I do not charge extra when I arrive and find "surprises" like 50 boxes instead of 25 or a washer and dryer when there were no appliances, etc. Or charge extra is there are more stairs than I expected. All of this should be discussed before u accept a bid. We all bid on the space in our vehicles so we need to know a very detailed list of what u have. You want no surprises and we do not either. Please check my customer comments and let me know if u would like for me to place a bid. Thanks. (11/5/2008)
Response:
Will you please put in a formal bid so that we can consider you for our move? My wife and I are on the verge of making a decision by this weekend so that we can officially plan the specifics. Things to note: * We moved from a 3BR house into a 2BR apt. We asked for bidding on a 4BR house since we will have 2 pickups (our apt and a 10x10 storage unit in the same town) * We have no appliances (we are moving into a new home construction with all appliances included) * Please clarify if you provide packing service or if we are to have all items boxed and prepared for load/unload * We wish to have our goods loaded Dec 20 or 21 and delivered approx Dec 28. We recognize Christmas falls in between so hopefully the driver can still make it home for holidays. (11/5/2008)
Question:
Sorry sir, but we will not rebid at this time. You are phishin for the lowest price as we have discovered this after reading thru your questions and answers. Good luck with your quest to find a mover. (11/5/2008)
Response:
Why would I not work with numerous companies to see who can provide the best deal? You yourself must encourage it based upon your having rebid numerous times on our shipment without our request so that you could remain competitive. I'm sorry you feel that our searching for a good deal is not worth your time. For us, we wished to have comparible rates between you and the other company so we could review and make our decision over the weekend. It's a shame you are removing yourself from our consideration before my spouse and I are able to review the bids and historical feedback in detail together (I am a traveling consultant and thus asked that you extend your bid to accomodate me not being home in the last 2 weeks to discuss the bids in detail). Very disappointing that you withdraw yourself so I have declined your bid since you are unwilling to provide me the extra couple of days (I get home Thursday night). (11/5/2008)
Question:
Ok sir, to answer your question about phishing for better deals, what you are doing when you wait so long to decide is put most company's in a bind that is setting your move up for disaster. State to state moves take time to plan and secure the driver a return trip. Our bid for 3700.00 is a little bit below industry standard. For someone who do not have their own truck how can they may a profit. Here is the break down, Truck rental 985.00, fuel 1000.00. Hired help 1000.00. Food and lodging, 300.00. Plus other fee which leave the company making 500 dollars and some change. 500 dollars is not worth the long travel, time, hard work. So sorry and I hope this helps you understand we will not compete for phishing bids. (11/5/2008)
