Question: Dear Lboquist: We are a full service moving & storage co. Fully licensed by the state of CA with interstate authority. We have a couple questions: What is the square footage of your current home? Will you have all your personal items boxed? Unhook all appliances & media/stereo equipment? Disassemble beds (items alike that require Dis/Re at destination?) Can a Semi 60-80ft. Tractor/Trailer access on both ends? Once you have replied, we will respond. Thank you very much for your time. Response: Sorry it took a few days I was so busy. Anyway, the house is 2500 square feet, with 3 car garage-shop. We would like to have pro-packers box everything up. We need to also have the computer-media-stereo stuff boxed in our original cartons but have four computer monitors and a 27" and 25" TV with no boxes. 2 Queen beds (one is air mattress) and 1 daybed with 2 single mattresses need disassy. Also, one large rolltop oak desk needs disassy. None need reassembly at destination though. Yes, a large tractor-trailer has access on both ends. (12/13/2006)

Without benefit of a visual we would estimate that your packing will be approx. $2,500.00-$3,500.00 for packing labor & materials.Do have that bugeted into your moving expenses? We would estimate your shipment will be approz. 20,000lbs based on the inventory, sq.ft. and additional info you provided. 5 yrs. ago your weight was 15,000lbs. It is not unusual for a person(family) to collect a 1,000lbs for every yr. they live in a res.You mentioned "garage-shop". In addition to parking your automobiles is it used for crafts&hobbies? Response: I understand the 20,000lb logic. We are planning to rent a dumpster before the move to lighten the load as much as possible Hopefully we will sell our Refrigerator with the house. If the packing labor & matls add up to 2.5 to 3.5k how much does the actual moving-trucking it cost on top of that? We may still be within our budget depending on the overall total. The garage-shop is just an oversized garage. We are not really doing any crafts, business or hobbies out there except hitting golf balls in an aluminum framed practice net. Plus I have some small to medium hand tools, no shop tools like drill press etc. (12/16/2006)

This would includes exclusive use of the truck, immediate delivery(in accordance DOT), blanket wrap, load, transport and unload inside res. with one-time-placement of all your goods + the "Standard Insurance-Coverage is limited to $.60 per lb. per article.We will also provide you free of charge with garment/wardrobes for you clothing on hangers, 15 will be included at no additional charge. Obviously in planning any move, you definitely want to dispose of items you no longer intend to use. Please consider, consignment stores for your gently used furniture or donating your unused items for the tax deduction. Thank you again for your time. (12/19/2006)

Therefore, we estimated your packing labor & materials "a pack job" to be approx. $2.5 to 3.5k. Your 2nd request was for a long distance move/relocation from WA to CA, which our services include: blanketwrap,padded van, load, transport and unload - with an inside delivery & one-time-placement of your funishings in each rm. where you want your items placed.The Standard Insurance/Coverage Limited to $.60 per lb. per article+the free garment boxes for $6637.50-$8850.00. Please, do not confuse the verbiage of other carriers when they state: packing,transporting and unload. They are referring "loading the truck", not packing your personal effects into boxes/cartons. We separated the 2 services so that you could pick one or both, and so that you would have a breakdown of both. If you believe any carrier is including both services in their price make you ask. Question: Hello, we are a moving Co. based in Torrance, Ca we could move you any day in January with about 5 days notice.The charge would be $7,750.00 and would include "all" packing materials and packing labor and would be based on 16,000 lbs.
