Response: Good Morning Amy, Our next firm schedule through Pittsburgh is Dec. 1st and 2nd. Today I may be firming up another schedule for before Thanksgiving. It takes our vans 4 to 6 days to bring a load from Western PA to Denver CO. We can make the spread longer if you like. 1) are you planning on driving to CO, or flying? 2) we provide the moving van, the labor to dissassemble, load, unload, reassemble, all professional blanket wrapping, etc. Do you want us to include any packing in the quote? 3) What dates are ideal for you? 4) can we park a semi truck close to both locations? 5) Do you have a target price? Response: Those dates would work for us. We're driving to CO and we'll be leaving when the stuff leaves. It will take us 3 days. We're actually transferring everything to a storage shed and staying with someone until we find a house so there is semi access at both places. We only have a few items that may require special handling and we can pack everything else. A 46 inch flat screen we don't have a box for, an electronic piano (75lbs, not 1000) and possibly a 55 gallon aquarium (empty, no fish) Everything else can be packed by us or is normal furniture. I'm assuming the price you'll be bidding would include wrapping furnitre etc. that won't go in boxes? Our target with this is 5000 dollars. However it's worth extra to us for the proper licenses, insurance, experience and care with our stuff. Later today I'll post a picture of each room/closets so you have an accurate description of the contents of the house. A "4 bedroom house" can vary in size tremendously as I'm sure you're aware! Response: Hello, it sounds like our schedules can meet. My bid is for 13K lbs. of HHG goods. This would be about a very full 10 x 30, 7' tall storage unit. I have 3-4 vans planned to pass by Pitt by the Dec. 10th. We now carry Flat Screen TV wooden crates on the truck, free use. We have no minimum on the move, and overage weight would cost $0.50 per lb. We weight truck morning of pickup, then right after pickup. Let us know if you need any packing done. If you have any more questions, please let us know. Response: Yes, I think our schedules can meet. Sounds good about the flat screen TV. We aren't above 13000 lbs. We've done some small relo's for seniors and I'm estimating closer to 10,000. I'm sure you've heard the "I don't have that much" line before, it's sight unseen, and I understand. I'm just checking out my options. Does the price go down if the weight is less and is 6500 your final bid?

Response: Hi Amy, yes, the costs will be adjusted at $0.50 per lb. at less than 13K lbs. In order to save booking fees, I'll submit a bid for 10K lbs. also with same terms. You've probably already found our Better Business Bureau record and checked out the DOT links on uShip. I did answer the earlier question that the 15th was the earliest we could leave. We can, but it's not the most convenient. That weekend or the middle of the week the week after Thanksgiving is much better. My suggestion is to make the bid for the later dates if you can. If you can't then please submit it for what you CAN do. I understand that weekends and either already being in the area or transferring another shipment in our direction make a huge impact on your pricing. Part of why this process works so well is it catches people all going the same way at the right time. I wanted to make sure you weren't giving me those dates as your "earliest possible" to try and gain my business.
