Questions for this shipment:

Question: Are the slabs stacked together in a bundle, or are they loose? (5/24/2009)
Response: They are currently loose, vertically oriented, leaning on one another. i could ask the supplier if they could be bundled but I am not sure that is something they could do. (5/24/2009)
Response: If you could find out, that would be very helpfull. If they could bundle them, I can bid lower than I had originally planned. Let me know soon because I am heading to Alabama out of Temple mid week. Thanks. (5/24/2009)
Response: I will try to call them tomorrow afternoon, but I am not sure they will be open (memorial day). If not, I will find out Tuesday. Thanks. (5/24/2009)
Response: Ok, just let me know wht you find out. Thanks. (5/24/2009)
Response: Will do. Didnt get a chance to work on it today -- busy day at work after the 3 day weekend. (5/26/2009)
Question: CAN THESE BE PICKED UP ON MEMORIAL DAY AND WHAT PRICE ARE YOU LOOKING AT? (5/24/2009)
Response: I am not sure if the stone yard we are buying the marble from is open on Monday. I just called them now (Sunday) and they didnt mention either way on their voicemail. I will be on an airplane tomorrow when they open so I wont be able to find out tomorrow morning either. We are not in a huge hurry so if another date works for you I would love to get your bid. As far as pricing, I am not sure how much this type of delivery should run. i just posted last night and you are my first response. I know I had a car shipped recently which was more total weight, and that was $500. I would guess this would be in a similar (hoepfully less) ballpark. What type of truck would you be using? Do you have one of those racks to put the slabs on? (5/24/2009)
Response: HELLO, I HAVE 45' FLATBED. NO, I DO NOT HAVE RACKS FOR THESE. I WON'T BE ABLE TO DO THIS NOW FOR YOU AS I HAVE ANOTHER PICK UP IN ARKANSAS. THANKS, JEFF (5/24/2009)
Response: Thanks Jeff. (5/26/2009)
Question: Hello, is someone going to be available to load/unload? Price $325.00. Military discounts available. (5/24/2009)
Response: I will confirm tomorrow or Tuesday. I have people to load in TX but i need to make sure I have someone to unload in MS. (5/24/2009)
Response: Thank you. (5/24/2009)
Response: Your welcome (5/26/2009)
Question: WILL THEY FIT IN BED OF PICKUP TRUCK 8FT LONG X 4FT/3IN WIDE.WITH TAIL GATE DOWN TRUCK BED WOULD BE 10FT LONG X 4FT/3IN WIDE.CAN LAY 2X4 BOARDS DOWN IN BED AND STACK MARBLE SLAB ON THEM.IF SO LET ME KNOW PLEASE. (5/25/2009)
Response: Not sure. I will call supplier tomorrow and find out. (5/26/2009)
Response: did you find out anything yet.please let me know as soon as you find out something (5/26/2009)
Response: I spooke with the marble supplier. He said they should only be transported on an "A-frame". They cant be transported lying flat, they will definitely crack. He said safe verticle stacking is difficult without this "A-Frame". Would this be something you could accomadate? (5/28/2009)
Response: can have one builded out of wood if that would work .how long and how wide would it have to be let me know please (5/28/2009)
Response: Interesting idea to build one. the slabs are a little over 9 feet long and 5 feet high. 3 slabs could fit on either side of the A frame. At 3cm thick each, that would be almost 10 cm (4") of thickness on each side of the A Frame. (5/28/2009)
Question: I worked in the marble and granite business for 10 years in the 90's and I have transported marble and granite slabs many times. I know how to secure them and could get them to you safely. I could pick them up on Monday or Tuesday but it would be $685. Check my profile and let me know if you are interested. Thanks. (5/30/2009)
Response: Would you be putting the slabs on some type of "A-frame"? If not, how would they be transported? My big fear is having any of the slabs break. I am glad to hear you have experience moving slabs and I look forward to hearing back from you. Thanks. (5/31/2009)
Response: Yes, they would have to be put on an a-frame or they will break. They will also be very heavy and require a good bit of assistance loading them in the back of a truck. I'll be in Houston tomorrow and I will bid if you are interested. Thanks (5/31/2009)
Response: With your prior experience with marble, we are definitely interested. I assume you have an A-frame available to use? Looking forward to your bid. (5/31/2009)
Response: I'll be in the area tomorrow afternoon. This would be my only chance to pick up. I will bid when I stop for the night. BUT, I'm on the road and don't have an a frame with me or tools to make one so please don't accept my bid unless the pick up location can provide one. Thanks (5/31/2009)
Response: I will call the marble supplier shortly, but I am pretty sure the pick up location will not have an A-Frame available. If you are going to be in the Austin area again, and you will have an A-frame, let me know. Thanks. (6/1/2009)
Response: Let me know if this is still available. I am in the process of settng up a trip for next week and I think I can get a metal A frame from my former employer. (6/8/2009)
Response: Were you able to get the metal A-Frame? The shipment is still available, however I may have someone who can pick it up tomorrow. (6/9/2009)
Question: Do you have the A Frame that will be needed to transport your marble if so I can picit up for you on Monday and drop it either Monday evening or early Tuesday morning. (5/31/2009)
Response: sorry. I wish i did. the marble supplier said they may be able to build us one but I am still waiting to hear back from them. (5/31/2009)
Question: Good morning, have a truck in Austin on 06/08/09 and can deliver on 06/07/09, please let me know if this works for you and what your target rate is. Thanks Vicky (6/2/2009)
Response: Do you have an A-Frame to transport the marble on? I can get one but it is in Houston. The marble cant be transported without this A-Frame. Thanks. (6/2/2009)
Response: Sorry, we don't (6/2/2009)
Response: thanks (6/9/2009)
Question: (6/4/2009)
Question: Hello I have been reading the listing and I think I can help you. I have a few questions. Is the Aframe in Houston still available? Is it metal? I have a wooden Aframe in Austin it may not be strong enough for 5 slabs I'll phone tomorrow. I will be leaving Houston on the 6-9 afternoon for Austin and can pick up Aframe in Houston. Then leaving Austin for OS on the 10th and be in there 11th afternoon. I have hauled alot of granite across the states and quite a bit to Ocean Springs. The weight seems light can you please verify original container shipper or quarry for the Approx lbs. of each slab. I have a flat bed open and will be glad to Haul this load. There must be loader at pick up and an unloader at destination. I know you want an experienced person, We are new to the site not to the business. Thanks,Ken Ktech services (6/5/2009)
Response: will check to see if the a frame is still available in Houston. I'll let you know in the next 45 minutes or so. Thanks. (6/9/2009)
Question: I have a 24' box truck with a lifgate and a partner to help load. I can secure the marble upright and deliver safely, within 2 days of pick up. Nelson @ msjoyce. (6/6/2009)
Response: do you have a metal A-Frame to support the slabs on. The marble supplier wont release the slabs without a metal A-Frame. (6/8/2009)
Question: still need ship let me know i may have a AFRAME BY MONDAY i will let you know if i get it.if i do i will let you know monday and i can pickup your marble slabs tuesday (6/6/2009)
Response: Were u able to get a metal a-frame? (6/9/2009)
