Additional Information: This move is from two exterior ground level wide-doored units at a local clean, big storage facility. Some items shown won't be moving, like the white topped table and the chest on far right in Profile Picture and the four-drawer file cabinet in pic of 2nd room - those were donated. There WILL be approx. 20 more boxes of various sizes, 4 clothing bags, 3 desks, a 4'Wx4'H bookshelf, and smaller tables and occasional pieces. The sofa seen in the 2nd room is 83"x36"x38", a full Queen sleeper and HEAVY, also delicate due to its weight. It's all curved in every direction, so it must travel on its feet with nothing placed on top of it except soft bags. It's a real space hog. This load will comfortably fill a 26' Penske truck. Everything has to go including all the shelving. Exact details of destination being finalized. Right now 'hoping' ready to go in June. Ask me a Q about any item and I'll send you full info. Will edit this listing if more detail becomes available, incl final pix of the load. Will upgrade to a Featured Listing and request bids when we're FINALLY ready to hit bid. Thank you for your interest! Report a Violation

Question:
9/5/2011
Hello Shipper, I have a 53ft trailer available for your shipment. I am licensed/insured and will be on the job from start to finish. Please review my feedback. Do you need any vehicles transported as well? Thanks!Report a Violation
Response: Hi there Transporter, thanks for your question. No vehicles, just a 26' commercial closed truckload. We know because we drove most of it xcountry 1 yr ago in 22' and are leaving a couple large items and have picked up enough to fill that space and a bit more. Destination is Manhattan NYC which means you would have quite a time maneuvering a 53' rig down those streets - you have great reviews, I'll keep you bookmarked and thanks again for writing. - Heidi9/5/2011Report a Violation
Response: Thanks! I have delivered downtown NYC and realize that everything would have to be shuttled. What floor will you be on in Manhattan? 9/5/2011Report a Violation
Response: Hi again, I've put this shipment up early, we haven't yet finalized the apartment so I don't yet know if there is an elevator or freight elevator. It would be a lot to shuttle! like 2 moves in one. If it's on an Avenue, your rig might be fine, as this in Upper Manhattan (Inwood) and some streets are wide and some are tiny. Access from the 95 is easy. When we get closer to the date and have all the details of the destination, I will definitely be in touch. Thanks for your early contact! 9/5/2011Report a Violation
Response: Hello, I can offer an "all-inclusive" price of $6,279. Please check my reviews/feedback scores. I am licensed/insured and have over 20 years experience. Additionally, I will be on the job from start to finish. Thanks!12/18/2011Report a Violation
Response: Hello again! You have a great reviews history and service. We [hopefully!] are coming down to just a few weeks more of the destination being up in the air. I will upgrade to a Featured Listing the minute we have everything finalized at the delivery side. Thanks again for your interest!12/20/2011Report a Violation
Response: That sounds good. Hope you and your family had a great Christmas! Are you planning on Jan or Feb for a p/u date? Thanks12/31/2011Report a Violation
Response: Thank you for your kind wishes, it was a wonderful Christmas and I hope yours was too! If I had to name a date right now, I would say the 27th of January, but that is a mere estimate. Once we have our lease agreement in hand, I will immediately upgrade this listing to Featured and be requesting and sorting through bids and getting this show on the road! Thanks again for staying in touch. You can be sure that once we hit a bid there will be NO SURPRISES for the TSP on this shipment! Happy New Year to you!1/4/2012Report a Violation

Question:
9/10/2011
The trip will take 6 days and I would like to be able to deliver on arrival. When can you accept delivery? I can bid for a 26ft truck and I am good at packing tight but if I do the loading and unloading I need to know if there are furniture or items bulky which require extra help to move. Steps? Is the storage at ground level? I will blanket wrap and secure your things inside the truck regardless of who loads/unloads so let me know what you prefer. Click on my name for references.Report a Violation
Response: Hi Jackie, I'm sure you would do a fabulous job! We don't have the destination details nailed down yet, but when we do we will edit the listing to show all the information. At departure side, the storage is at ground level, separate garage door'ed units, wide open with plenty of room for big trucks. And this load should fill a 26 footer. Thanks again, we'll update this listing as soon as destination features are confirmed.9/11/2011Report a Violation
Response: Thanks for the quick response. Give me as much time as possible to plan jobs around your locations and also to avoid that I amy have your dates filled in another location as to be unable to bid. Once you know the situation at the new location let me know and also about if you any item extra large or heavy. 9/11/2011Report a Violation
Response: Hi again Jackie, can asnwer some of your Qs right now. (1) 99% of goods are boxed and packed already, over 250 boxes _all numbered and inventoried_ - nothing too heavy or big. (2) Heavy/large items are: (a) one cedar hope chest w/marquetry veneer, about 5' x 3' x 3', est'd 160 pounds -last movers broke the decorative base off it (expensive repair) needs CAREFUL handling -- (b)one big custom built camelback queen sleeper sofa, wrapped by re-upholsterer, 83" L x 36" H x 36" D - est'd 200 pounds and Valuable/Awkward to move BUT will remove legs to make it easier -- (c) four tempered plate glass pieces to a "Z-form" desk, heavy and delicate -- (d) SONY TV, in packing box, 80 pounds. The rest is usual household furniture, but not much: a chest of drawers with separate mirror, a display hutch, a few tall oak shelf units, two desks, file cabinets, etc. Please ask a Q again, I have more info but ran out of space in this form! thanks!9/11/2011Report a Violation
Response: Here is my answer. send me a bid request when you know the situation at the home of delivery. I can bid for a 26ft truck packed tight with labor included once I know that. Make sure to click on the name of those who bid or ask questions to reach their profile in Uship. The number next to the name is the positive feedback received here. 9/12/2011Report a Violation

Response: You are back!! I will be delivering in Calgary on January first, using a HI CUBE 26ft truck. Let me know if you would be ready on 1/3-4 to laod and when can you accept delivery. 12/16/2011Report a Violation
Response: Hallo Jackie! Great to hear from you. We will be doing everything humanly possible and with Grace a little more, to expedite the finalization of the delivery side. I'll upgrade to a Featured Listing at the MOMENT (:-)) we have those destination details solid. It would be wonderful if it is done by the first week of January! Thanks again for getting back in touch, and best wishes!12/20/2011Report a Violation
Response: So could I load you on 1/5-6? I will reach Florida tomorrow and pick up a HI Cube 26ft truck early on 12/22. If you have accepted my bid by then I can pay the extra days so I could give you a lower bid. I will place a bid based on you accepting by 12/21 by 9 p.m. Pacific time. 12/20/2011Report a Violation
Response: Well I wish I could have everything in hand to make a commitment by tomorrow, but it's not at all likely unless a miracle happens (not unheard of). Anyway, when we do FINALLY have the destination under firm contract, I will upgrade to a Featured Listing and dance a jig. 12/21/2011Report a Violation
Response: I see that now you have these dates "Pickup: After 1/11/2012 Delivery: Before 1/17/2012 " Do you know realize that the trip once loaded will take 5-6 days (winter may be longer) and if you want delivery before 1/17 then you may get bids but not the dates you want? What kind of time window c an you provide? 12/22/2011Report a Violation
Response: Hi again Jackie, the delivery date is entirely up to the safe travel of the TSP. Getting caught on the western side when Wyoming closes a fence is no joke; this we understand, we've driven across with goods in bad weather. Once we have concrete destination details and accept a bid, the rest will be worked out between us. 12/23/2011Report a Violation
Response: Do you have firm dates for loading but with a window of time? Do you have the destination location and date that you can accept delivery finalized? Happy Holidays! 12/24/2011Report a Violation
Response: Everything is waiting on getting the destination nailed down -- it's slowly but surely getting closer. *whew.* We will definitely upgrade to a Featured Listing when we are ready, so that will be a thing to watch for. Thanks again Jackie, and joyous Holidays to you and yours!12/25/2011Report a Violation
Response: Heidi, when I place a bid I hold the space and keep everything on hold around that bid so even if you have listed "Pickup: After 1/11/2012 and Delivery: Before 1/17/2012" it is my understanding from your latest answer that those dates are not for sure at all. I will keep and eye on your listing. How will I know that you truly ready? If you are ready at a time that I can fit you in I can give you a better rate. Thanks for your holiday wishes, I hope that you have just as good while dealing with a major move. Regards. 12/26/2011Report a Violation
Response: Hi Jackie, you will know I'm truly ready when I upgrade to a Featured Listing. I'll have every last detail hammered out at that time, and can post all info so no surprises for the transporter. Thanks again for keeping in touch, I appreciate it!1/4/2012Report a Violation
Response: I still do not know how to know it is a go. Please send me a bid request when you are ready and I try to give you a good bid. The sooner I know the better. Thanks. 1/5/2012Report a Violation
Response: OK, I thought if you saw it's a Featured Listing it would let you know we're set to go.1/31/2012Report a Violation
Response: I don't know what a "Featured Listing" is. I am worried that you will change dates or inventory before accepting my bid. I normally do not bid on jobs with more than 10 bids because I have so little time. When you are ready to accept a bid in two days, let me know and I will estudy your cargo, dates and try to bid as low as I can. Thanks for keeping in touch.2/1/2012Report a Violation
Response: Hi Jackie ! Hey, a Featured Listing has a bright green button next to it. Shippers pay $18.00 to UShip to get it. They appear higher/different when you search for new listings. An Urgent Listing has a bright red button next to it, that one costs $10.00. No worries about dates or inventory. For one thing, I've always said the date of pick up and delivery will be flexible Once We Finalize Details. That means we are ready to go, and we then talk to TSPs and make sure everything is absolutely clear and agreed-upon before pickup. Second, if a shipper changes the profile of the listing, UShip cancels all the bids. There's no way to switch a date and then hit a bid based on a previous date. Also and more important, we're not interested in dishonesty or dishonest people. As soon as it's absolutely ready we'll announce it in the listing and upgrade to a Featured Listing, and hopefully we'll go ask for bids as well. Thanks Jackie! 2/1/2012Report a Violation

Response: Heidi, Are you now a "featured listing" or are you ready to accept a bid? Are the moving dates firm? Is there an elevator where you are going? Thanks a lot. Jackie3/3/2012Report a Violation
Response: Hello Jackie, I would say we're fairly settled on doing it in April but there is one circumstance I have no control over and have to wait to see how the east coast folks manage to speed this up. Either we get it on the road or my blood pressure does me in. That's a 100% certainty! :-) ok, take care Jackie and we'll be in touch.3/26/2012Report a Violation

Response: so you still need this done?11/28/2011Report a Violation
Response: Hi Rob, we sure will need it done, yes! This is not a moribund shipment. Our difficulty to date, is getting the destination nailed down. I initially posted this shipment when the destination was almost finalized, and then some problems arose so I've been working with the situation to resolve it. In my estimation we will have all the necessary info in less than a month, so we can get this train rolling!!11/28/2011Report a Violation
Response: So it might be some place other than new York. Or just a different city in newyork11/28/2011Report a Violation
Response: Hi again Rob, the destination city and area have not changed. It will be northern Manhattan, north of the GW Bridge and an easy trip from the highway to the destination. 11/28/2011Report a Violation

Response: Hi again Rob -- I've been at pains to precisely answer every TSP and keep everyone updated to the minute on this shipment. Please review the answers already given, but feel free to ask another question if it's still not clear. Thanks for your interest!11/28/2011Report a Violation

Response: Will do, Rob! 11/28/2011Report a Violation
Response: is there alot of book boxes or real heavy boxes11/29/2011Report a Violation
Response: Hello Rob, yes there sure are a lot of books. We made sure to pack most of them in small boxes, but even so, you are right, they're heavy. Further, the TV box you can see in the first photo weighs 85 pounds, the cedar chest you can see the end of in that photo is over 200 pounds, and the sofa you see covered in plastic in the photos of the other room weighs over 400 pounds (sorry to Jackie, I thought it was less but it's fully 400 pounds). Those storage rooms are (1) 10'x 15' with the door on the wide side and (2) 10'x 20' with door on the narrow side. Any other questions based on the description and what you see in the photos? 11/29/2011Report a Violation
Response: no other questions except are you ready to accept a bid now if i can keep a range of date open to you you that you know it would definately be in that timeframe i can do it11/29/2011Report a Violation
Response: Thanks Rob, here's my thinking on the matter. Will it make a difference to your bid if the destination ends up being 6 flights of narrow stairs and a restriction on the hours when you can use those stairs -- or if it ends up being a place with an elevator plus a freight elevator that you can use the minute you arrive? We know the situation with NYC buildings and that they vary tremendously even within a single block. This is why we are waiting for final details on this destination before actively engaging bids -- let me know your thoughts?11/29/2011Report a Violation
Response: lol..great thinking.you dont want a mover to arrive there and then tell you that you owe them 2000 more.do you have a estimate on the weight?.and can i get date range for pickup//my trailer is about a foot less than 26ft penskes..penske max cargo weight is like 8800.mines is 6000,but ive been thinking of upgrading my axles to carry 10000 to 12000...but unlike alot of big companies i can work with time constraints..my price might be a lil more than the max but my price wont change no matter if its alot of stairs and what not cause you were honest in letting me know the situation..also i suspect that its a possibililty i might jave to rent a small uhaul to shuttle things too depending where you move11/29/2011Report a Violation
Response: Ha ha, you sure know your business. To us the CONTRACT is KING. It's the clasp of hands between people who know everything about the arrangement IN ADVANCE and that's the way to do business, so we believe. Then everyone goes away happy, which is our firm goal. As to Weight, I will aver that it's well below Penske limit. There are a lot of single items, and you will want the cubic footage of a Penske 26 footer, but they are mostly lightweight items. Having driven (most of) it x-c myself 1 yr ago, it's not heavy at all for that class of vehicle. The max price we listed is true max. We're generous with tips and other little things depending on the service. When destination is set in stone, we'll post full details so that there are no surprises and your bid can reflect that reality. No need for shuttling, any rig less than 60 ft can easily navigate that neighborhood's streets. Also, once we can book it you should take your time and be safe - that is the most important par11/29/2011Report a Violation
Response: with all that being said will there be parking available and saved for a moving vehicle..i go to newyork city alot and biggest issue is parking..my whole set up is about 51 ft long..also i can put in bid right now right around your max ,it wont be over..i appreciate the honesty,,if you check my feedback you will find that i am very reliable and trustworthy..what ever time of the day or day i will work with you to make it happen.i just like to have things set up so i can have time to book a return trip..i live in california..so if you give me a range of dates for pick up and delivery ..i will be there on one of those days..and actually delivery i will be there what day and time that building allows..theres some buildings that have time constraints to where you only get a 2 hour window to move things in..if that is the case and i have to wait til next day to move things in or what not then i will do it and ofcourse i wont charge extra..11/29/2011Report a Violation
Response: Yes, Hi again Rob, the issue of parking is not a problem because we know how to set that up in advance. Also they have a "bike lanes" thing, so we just get a permit for you if the delivery area has a bike lane on that kerb. I assure you this will not be a rush move and I think my previous message was cut off so I'll repeat it -- your safety is paramount to us, you are a living man and the rest is only goods. You are what counts. Yes as I said all the buildings have their own little quirks so we'll include all that in the listing the minute we have it. Then no surprises for transporters. You're a good guy Rob, let's keep in touch!11/29/2011Report a Violation
Response: well i put in a bid..i really would like to work with you cause its very refreshing to get a honest person thats not trying to leave out details to get a cheaper price..no matter the situation if its ten flights of stairs my price wont change if you accept. My word is my bond! i dont need any details and i can hold open the date range you want.i will be there..if another job came along that was better and paid more i wouldnt cancel..Im very old school and believe in what goes around comes around..11/29/2011Report a Violation

Response: Hi Mark, you wrote "hoping your going to commit at some point. . . ." I hope that the detail of this listing, plus the precise 'up in the air' destination situation stated in the original description, plus my updating of every detail the moment it happens, plus the later posting of pictures to assist the prospective transporter, plus the openness and speed with which I've answered every question (which everyone can read and review on this listing), would give a rational man a firm impression as to our commitment to this move. How about if you and I commit to this: The moment I have the necessary commitment from the destination owner including details every transporter needs plus other details I know how to seek and get for the transporter which will 'speed their plow,' I will upgrade to a "featured listing" here and then you will know we are ready to hit a bid. Until that time, no further information is available. How would that work for you? Best wishes, Heidi12/4/2011Report a Violation

Response: Hi Transporter -- One unit is 10'x15' and the other is 10'x20'. Neither is full, and both were set up with large items at front & center and the rest on modular shelving around perimeter. There is plenty of room to maneuver. In the next few days I'll upload a few pix to give an idea of the load. Thanks for your interest!11/24/2011Report a Violation

Response: Hi again getinnovative, want to remind that the rooms will look a lot more full once the transfers are complete: additions not yet there include at least twenty various-sized boxes, four or five zipped bags of clothing and bedding, plus three sizeable desks, three office chairs, three small tables, a couple of medium-sized wood bookcases, various small kitchen and office applicances -- and I want to point out that due to its weight, shape, and construction, the sofa in the center of the second storage room must be moved standing on its feet. It cannot be moved in any other position or it will be damaged -- and it cannot have anything stacked on it at all. I have some changes on the pictures now since we moved more boxes and other items into one room, and when we are ready to hit a bid we will upgrade to a Featured Listing, so that will be the signal we're finally ready to go! Response: No, and it is unlikely, but we'll do final checks on the legalities before giving full details on all aspects of the dropoff. Thanks for mentioning it.4/24/2012Report a Violation

how are you looking for lockdown? are you still sorting things in NYC or do you have a green light now?Report a Violation
Response: Hi promovers, when we have a green light we'll upgrade to a Featured Listing and start dealing with the nitty-gritty with TSPs and at that point we'll be asking for bids and ready to set up the final job. Thanks so much for keeping in touch!5/19/2012Report a Violation

hi, welcome back and this time i hope you can get your move done, just a ? do you know how many stroies up your delivery will be going for sure?Report a Violation
Response: Hello brightstar, we never left! :-) Hope all questions are answered quickly enough, we do try to do so timely every time. The destination has an elevator. There are some low steps from street to door, this is a very wide (15-20') entrance/courtyard.5/19/2012Report a Violation
Response: ok, Can we do this job for you for a july 9 pickup and and july 14 delivery for $7200?5/19/2012Report a Violation
Response: Hello Brightstar, please see our Listing Page where a max of $6000 is stated. If we pay that much it will be for an absolutely stellar top-rated TSP whose coverage and terms & conditions are perfect for us. Most of the bids we've received have been in the $4000 range. UShip lists an Average Bid Price for similar shipments as $5,561.78 -- of course, our shipment is vastly more organized and streamlined than most loads of this size.5/19/2012Report a Violation
Response: ok, we feel like we are the best company on this site when it comes to handling the customers itmes and that is why our prices are sometimes a little higher than others, as we can keep this accident from happeing to you again (a) one cedar hope chest w/marquetry veneer, about 5' x 3' x 3', est'd 160 pounds -last movers broke the decorative base off it (expensive repair) needs CAREFUL handling -- to please give it some consideration and let us know and we will prove our worht to you. thank you.5/19/2012Report a Violation
Response: Yes, live and learn! We didn't properly supervise the original loaders before we drove the truck x-country and that is a mistake we'll never repeat. Thank you for spending time to get to know our needs and the nature of this shipment. We'll keep your company in mind -- thanks again!5/19/2012Report a Violation
