Questions for this shipment:

Question: what is the draft??? The height is that correct?? Good day Boatjockey (11/5/2009)
Response: LOA=39'10" Hull length = 38'9" Mast length = 50'11" Height waterline to masthead = 56' Draft = 4'10" (11/5/2009)
Question: Just some info about picking a boat hauler. * While price is important, there are other considerations before choosing a carrier. Insurance: We have $1.25 million in all risk cargo coverage. Safety: Check our Federal DOT safety rating by clicking on our DOT number. Our safety rating is much better than the national average. Experience: Our second-generation company has been in business for 55 years, hauling nothing but boats from coast to coast, in Canada, and to all ports in the US. We have hauled for nearly every major boat manufacturer in the US, both power and sail, we are a major carrier for the New York and Miami Boat Shows, and we are an authorized carrier for the US military. Equipment: We have 50 trucks/200 trailers. Drivers: Our drivers meet all Federal DOT qualification standards and have extensive boat hauling experience. All of these factors are very important when it comes to moving your boat. (11/10/2009)
Question: beware of low bids as it could very well be a sign of a transporter who has not hired the required escorts for this load as this vessel is 12'4" wide and any load over 12' wide requires by law one escort for this move.the savings by not moving legally with a escort could cost you thousands in fines and heaven forbid the transporter damages your vessel a strong reason for the insurance company to refuse your claim, just something to take into consideration. (11/11/2009)
Question: Mark, My schedule has changed so if you are interested in my services, I could load you around the 20th. Thanks, Sonny (11/12/2009)
Response: Dear Sonny, I expect to get a firm date for when the yard will have the boat ready for shipment today. Once I have this information I will communicate it to the bidders and select one. If you picked up the boat on the 20th, could you give me an idea of when it would arrive in Seabrook? Thank you very much, Mark (11/13/2009)
Response: Mark, If I loaded your boat on the 20th, I would deliver it no later than Wednesday the 25th. It would be sooner but weekend travel is limited when transporting a load under permit. Thanks, Sonny (11/13/2009)
Response: Hello Sonny, Thank you for your clarification. The yard in RI has informed me that they "prefer" a pickup date of Nov. 24th or 25th, and the yard in TX is closed Nov. 26th-29th. That week being Thanksgiving, how would that later date affect your schedule and bid? Thanks, Mark (11/13/2009)
Response: Mark, I could load you on the morning of the 24th and have enough time to get the boat back to my yard for the holiday. I could leave on Friday for Texas and should be able to deliver on Monday the 30th. Thanks, Sonny (11/13/2009)
Question: Mark, If you are interested in my services, I will need to know ASAP, in order to get you scheduled. Thanks, Sonny (11/13/2009)
Question: Please make sure you check the carriers DOT# on there profile for the safety rating for each carrier before picking one. (11/15/2009)
Response: Dear MMB, Is there a question in your statement, or are you just trying to scare me into accepting your bid? Can you offer me some TANGIBLE benefit for paying 20% more to have your company transport my boat? Mark (11/16/2009)
Response: There is a reason why some others are so cheap. All I'm saying just check the safety rating. There is some good carriers that are cheaper than us with good safety rating. Some carriers are cheap and don't run legal, and you don't want to go that route. Good Luck!! (11/16/2009)
Question: Dear Mark, mmb brought up a good point to be wise and not just shop price, the difference in the high bids and the low bids is about the difference in having a certified escort as required by law and not having one, good luck in your venue.Bob at Yachtsalvage. (11/16/2009)
Question: can we sail this for you? (11/16/2009)
Question: Hi Mark...John here with House of Boats...we have just unloaded a Cabo Rico 38 in Maryland and are in need of a load back..that is why I have quoted a competitive price. Oversize loads are not allowed to move on weekends or on Thanksgiving...so it would be best to load your boat this week if possible. Thursday 11/19 would be ideal for us...would that be a possibility? (11/17/2009)
Question: What are your thoughts,on an in the water delivery,by a Lic'd Capt and crew? Capt Bill (11/23/2009)
