Additional Information:
Boat is now in jacks at the boatyard on Long Beach Island, (Beach Haven) NJ. She is ready to be picked up and shipped to Michigan (near Trenton MI). Please note that the mast length is 52'. It is a swing keel with a shallow draft, so it should ride low on the trailer, (please see the builder spec. sheets for a better estimate of the shape & dimensions).
Questions for this shipment:
Question:
Can the long standing pole(sailing mast) be removed to lower the height? Get the final measurements for me with the sailing mast and sails removed.I "might" be able to haul this for you. Get back to me soon plse. (5/31/2008)
Response:
Yes, in fact the picture is of the same model, but not the actual boat, I used this picture to give an ezample of the boat out of the water. My boat will have the mast down of course, and has no other standing protrusions to add any height above the deck. (5/31/2008)
Question:
What year and model is your asilboat? Thanks, Cliff - BCR Transport, LLC. (6/1/2008)
Response:
1972 Irwin 38 (37'10") centerboard model, narrow beam. (6/2/2008)
Question:
Cap- [contact info removed] [NOTE: Once a bid is accepted, both parties’ contact info will be exchanged. –uShip]I do not need a travel lift; I can self load/unload with My 30000#n capacity hydraulic trailer-no lift fees. What is draft? With the right ramp I'll launch Her. Let Me know and I'll bid (6/15/2008)
Response:
Dear Cap- I sent you a short reply detailing where the boat is today and where I had planned to move it and have it hauled. The marina can not pull the mast so I will need to hire a crane. A[contact info removed] [NOTE: Once a bid is accepted, both parties’ contact info will be exchanged. –uShip]An ideal quote might include towing the boat to your favored haul out (using your truck), pulling the mast, loading the boat and delivery to Michigan. As an alternate, I imagine you could load directly from the marina's haul out area (only 4' above the waterline). Unless you can pull the mast I would still need to have that done seperately. Please Advise, hope to get something going in the next days/week/s. BA (6/17/2008)
Question:
Do you still need this boat shipped. I have a boat to pick up in MI next week. Thanks. Allison-Lockview Marina. (7/17/2008)
Response:
Yes, I do. But I am having a few difficulties that will delay my boat being ready to pick up until August 3 - August 5. (7/17/2008)
Response:
Were you able to confirm the trucking dates. I have a confirmed pick up in MI but they are flexible on the timing. Thanks. Allison-Lockview Marina. (7/21/2008)
Response:
To my best estimates, I will try to have the boat hauled sometime around Aug. 1 or 2. I need to rent a crane to pull the mast, (unless you have one on your truck), and thereafter it will be ready to move. It could stay in the MArina on jacks until Aug 15-20 if that helps. After that I begin paying storage. (7/21/2008)
Response:
We could load on the 4 or 5 of Aug. I will resubmit my bid. Once you accept it we can go forward from there. Thanks. Allison-Lockview Marina. (7/22/2008)
Question:
Dear Shipper, If you are interested in an in-water delivery I could do for 2000. Let me know if I can help Thanks JR (7/22/2008)
Response:
Sorry, but I am having some engine troubles so I'll stick with overland until I have the issues cleared, (I had considered taking a couple weeks and motoring the New York Canal System to Lake Erie myself, but with engine issues and I need to install a new prop...probably not a good idea). Thanks anyway BA (7/22/2008)
Response:
yes, they wont allow you thru the locks without a motor. My first boat was an irwin 32 I loved it. Good Luck with your shipment Thanks JR (7/22/2008)
Question:
I have a delivery in MD next week and a pick up in MI and can take you from point A to point B for $2500.00 if we can load you next week. Let me know. Thanks. Allison-Lockview Marina (8/6/2008)
Question:
Does your boat still need to be shipped? Thanks for your reply- Allison-Lockview Marina. (8/14/2008)
Question:
I see your listing is back on. I have a delivery in MD the end of next week. Are you ready to go now? Let me know and I'll put in my bid. Thanks. Allison-Lockview Marina. (10/3/2008)
Response:
Yes, it is ready to go. The mast is off the boat, and will need to be secured supported on the trailer. Might be a good idea to tie down or remove the anchor. The boat yard can hoist and move the boat for you to loaded it onto your trailer. (10/3/2008)
Response:
Yes, removing the anchor is a good idea. Mast would be in racks on the side. If you want to go forward accept the bid and then our telephone information and email information will be exchanged via uship. Thanks. Allison. (10/3/2008)
Response:
Dear Allison, When would you propose to pick up the boat? (10/3/2008)
Response:
Either Friday 10/10 or if the marina will load on Sat or at the latest Monday 10/13. Let me know. Thanks. (10/3/2008)
Question:
can this go mon the 13 for 2700 thanks jerry boatsaway (10/3/2008)
Response:
It can ship Monday Oct. 17, as it is on the jacks now ready to ship. All that needs to be done is support the mast on the tailer, and general tie down so she doesn't bounce around. I hope to see something less than my max. price from one of the bidders, but you are correct that $2700 could end up being my price. The boatyard is anxious to see it on the road and out of their yard so I won't delay much on a decision. Plan to give it until early next week and award the job. I look forward to your bid. Thanks (10/3/2008)
Question:
I am submitting a revised bid as I have a pick up in MI if we can deliver your boat. Boat would be be picked up on 10/13. Thanks. Allison (10/4/2008)
