Question: We are a boat hauling co. from Mi and are interested in transporting your boat, however, the route map shows Mn. Can you clarify destination? B@cda (3/3/2009)

Response: That is because you are not familiar w/ the U.P of MI.
This is a common problem which is probably why we can't get any money out of Lansing...they do not know we exist!
Ironwood is on the Western end of the Upper Peninsula of MI. and Borders
Hurley, WI....the last place to shut down in the USA during prohibition. (3/3/2009)

Question: where are we in terms of getting her moved? thanks, brad...i have a bid in for 4500 i believe...all inclusive..i have 100000 in cargo insurance. thanks, brad (3/5/2009)

Response: Brad trying to get in the $3.6k neighborhood?
Thanks (3/7/2009)

Response: the problem is when a transporter gets up there there are not many boats coming out of there. he/she has to deadhead back to a populated boat area to get a load..i.e. chicago...getting a boat heading south to fla. or something. that is what you are faced with. i would consider lowering my bid to 4150.00 if you will go ahead and book with me in 3-4 weeks. thanks, brad ;) (3/7/2009)

Response: Brad, right you are we are at the proverbial end of the world....boats
leaving here are usually going to the grave yard.
I appreciate you making the $$ concesion and will probaly end
up going with you.
I need to go down and inspect the vessel next week prior to closing on
the sale and will follow-up w/ you after that .
Thanks
(3/7/2009)

Response: thank you for considering me on your next move. i can not guarantee that i can move you in 3-4 weeks. i have numerous bids out and i get calls from brokers, past customers, boat manufactures on a daily basis. if another customer jumps in that window,3 weeks, obviously you would have to be moved down the calendar. i'm not trying to pressure you just telling you people call all the time and things change daily in this business...especially with spring approaching. thank you again for considering us and i look forward to hearing from you. brad ;) (3/7/2009)

Response: Brad, I am glad that your business is thriving and you have numerous
deliveries in the works...when I close on the sale I will be in a posistion
to pull the trigger immeadiatly ! (3/7/2009)

Response: thank you. let us know if we can help you. ;) brad (3/7/2009)

Response: Hi Brad,
I have had some work done on the boat and have also
had the props and rudders removed....so it is ready for immeadiate transport!
Thanks Brad (4/20/2009)

Response: are you going to remove the flybridge? thanks, brad (4/20/2009)

Response: Brad
That 13"-0" Height is w/ the Fly on ....the fly can not be removed as it
is an intregal part of the rest of the boat ....all fiberglassesd at once.
Thanks Al

Response: hey your going to need a pole car and an escort car the entire trip. those with permits will run over 3000 dollars. i would have to add that on the my bid of 4500. i've dealt with this same issue the last 3 weeks. pole cars are 1.65 a mile and rear escort cars run 1.50 amile. the 13 feet with my 17 inch increase sitting on my trailer puts us at 14 feet 5 inches....which is way up there and dangerous...pole car a must to be legal and most importantly the safe arrival of your boat. i know your probably not going to go with my bid...but make sure you ask the transporter you are considering all of these questions...i've just done 30 days of moves...with and without the proper equipment involved. thanks for the questions and if i can help just let me know. brad...;) (4/25/2009)

Response: Brad, I appreciate your response. However, nothing on my original posting has changed from my original specs regarding Length, Ht, Wt, Width $ Destination.... Yet, you and several other reputable movers have bid the haul at $4,000-$5,000.
Now you tell me there's a $3k adder? I do not think so? (4/25/2009)

Response: i understand your response. just make sure your provider does everything i told you in my email. i'm just trying to advise you properly. i'm out here doing this everyday....your going to move your boat once in yoru life...if i can help you in any way please do not hesitate to ask my questions. your boat is 13 feet wide...thats a big deal...and over tall...anyway...thanks for considering us..brad ;) (4/25/2009)

Question: Hello, and thank you for the bid request,i don't have a trailer for your vessel right now it's in the shop being upgraded, good luck with shipment.
Have a great day!!!!!!!!!! (3/7/2009)

Response: When will it be out of the shop and ready? (3/8/2009)

Response: Hello.Thank you for taking the time to answer my question.I belive it will be ready in about two weeks.I will be more than happy to bid on it.
H a great day!!!!!!!!!!! (3/8/2009)

Question: Are you planning on removing the flybridge? Also an escort will be required in several states, not all of them. I can do the removal, installation, transport and escorts but it will be more than your max price. (4/21/2009)

Response: The fly is fixed and not removable. (4/22/2009)

Response: What year is your boat? (4/22/2009)

Response: Dear SundanceXpress,
It is a 1972 33" Egg. (4/22/2009)

Question: Are You ready to ship, I can change my bid if this is a serious transport (4/25/2009)

Response: Ready immeadiatly! Props and rudders have been pulled! Serious yes! (4/26/2009)

Response: Thanks for the reply, but i cannot transport for the 4800.00 bid you have now. I know the route you must travel and it is more miles then uship has listed. (4/26/2009)

Question: I have a trailer I rarely use at home,it is 11'w(4x 6000lb axles) and has to get permitted to the p/u point which means a lot of dead miles. The great thing is the boat loads really low.See pictures in my profile here.I have no idea when I can get east,I am stuck in the west coast thing right now.As far as the height issue <14'6"loaded with permits is not too much trouble(no escorts, except in a few areas)but you want an experienced hauler. If I can have time to get closer with that trailer the price would be 5000.00 with either trailer..tduncan55(ThomasDuncanTrucking) (4/26/2009)

Response: Tom,
I think the question is about time? Days or weeks ? We are ready to ship immeadiatly....what kind of time frame are you referring to? Thanks Al (4/26/2009)

Response: Unfortunatly I am in NM loading back to Ca so It would be awhile before I am available in the east.thanks,tduncan55 (4/27/2009)

Response: Dear tduncan55,
What is quite awhile? days or weeks? Thanks Al (4/28/2009)

Response: Sorry,Weeks,I never seem to be in the right place. This is the downside of a one truck operation.I have just booked another this morning putting me into 2/3 weeks.thanks tduncan55 (4/28/2009)

Question: Good Evening...picking up my new Semi next week about 500 miles from you. Legal carrier with required insurance. Can you wait 10 days for pick up? Thanks (4/27/2009)

Response: Dear THEWIFEANDI,
When would the delivery be if the pickup was [9] days from today?
Thanks Al (4/28/2009)

Response: Good Morning...thank you for your note. Give me 5 days to transport (usually less time is required) there has been some nasty weather, high winds slows transport progress, if the weather cooperates you can see your 33' in 3 days. (4/28/2009)

Response: Dear The Wife and I,
What are we looking at for the Cost?
thanks Al (4/28/2009)

Question: When do you want to get this moved. (4/28/2009)

Response: Dear jfasher, asap it is currently ready to go! (4/28/2009)

Response: Are all your measurements correct? If so I can do it for $6,000. (4/28/2009)

Response: Measurements are correct! Props and rudders are off. Ready to haul now.
