Question: Hello Blown70, If I may let me offer you 2 bids and you can pick from them if you think I'm up to the task. 1) My first bid will be $1800. That comes with CDL25 years exper. in ever type of transportation field. With a DOT permitted driver, and also with that I will offer you Full coverage (ins). 2) $1150 I will bid for A driver (myself) also with CDL exper. you pay the insurance if you want it on your trailer, AND NO I REPEAT NO DOT PERMITTED COVERAGE and if your trailer is impounded because of no dot permit, you are responsible for impund fees and all other fees pertaining to that violation, because hiring a driver without the proper permits and ofcourse the required $750,000 lia insurance also that comes with a legal dot permitted driver. And if anyone has a remark to say about this besides yourself, then more than likely he also will be illegal. So what would be your answer, DOT legal or take your chances without dot driver.
