Question: Do you happen to know the standing height of your boat so we can make an accurate assessment for a quote.? What is the mast length.? (9/6/2009)

Response: Judging from the specs, the overall height, from base of the keel to top of the mast is between 50-55 ft. The overall mast length, if removed from the boat, would be between 45-50 ft. (9/7/2009)

Response: I thought about that, but am not sure of the cost. Do you charge a flat rate or by the day? How long do you estimate it would take? Also, what happens if the engine breaks down or some other problem occurs during the trip? (9/21/2009)

Response: i charge by the day plus transpo and food/fuel. did you ever find out about the charges to step the mast and restep and haul out. yards charge about 80 an hour for this. Let me know. Its always better if they move on their own bottom!! Dan (10/19/2009)

Question: FYI Mr Shipper, You can request the DOT or MC number from your prospective carrier bider if they dont have it posted with there user name and profile. You can scan down and review info about your proposed carrier on the FMCSA site with that number and you may find that they have been put out of service as many times as they have passed a DOT inspection on equipment and one out of three time on the drivers inspection. Feed back on uship and company info on FMCSA are good places to research your prospective carrier. Good luck with your shipment. (9/21/2009)

Response: Hi Lex. I had to find a marina/shipyard in Miami who could re-step the mast, so I let the listing expire. Now I'm ready to do this I'm looking to load the boat onto the truck on Friday, Nov 13th. I'm making arrangements now with the yard and the riggers to haul out the boat and unstep the mast by the 12th. When would you be able to deliver the boat in Miami? (11/1/2009)

Response: Hi Captain, This is the busy time of the year for the snow bird/boat show moves. I dont know I could promise a specific date this time of year without being really expensive to you. I can give you a range of time and still be cost effective. Most professional boat movers are booked at least a couple weeks to a month ahead this time of year. If I could book now I can get fairly close to your date but would not want to commit to a specific date. I need time to plan another connecting move so that everyone benefits. Lex (11/1/2009)
